I hit play as soon as I saw Kim Byung Chul. He's always entertaining. Park Joon Geum as the Kim's mom and Kim Mi Kyung are big bonuses! And yeah it is odd about the ages. Park is just 12 years older than KBC, but they explain that away before you see her. They haven't touched the 6 year diff btwn mother/daughter actresses, but oddly enough it's working.
I totally forgot that I was watching this. I think I fell asleep episode 5 and never continued. Anyway, the action was and efx were good. As for content? Well..... not the best adaptation of a webtoon, manhwa, etc. that I've ever seen nor is it the worse.
I totally agree. The show was a giant mood swing. Like you said at one point he's thinking his way through traps and the next he's barging in like a cartoon hero. The promise of the first episode went completely unfulfilled.
The judge's ruling was really smart. He took custody w/o really taking it. The father still gets visitation, but Shin makes all the decisions re: Gi Yeong. That way he really doesn't lose his inheritance, which is what that witch wanted.
Do we know how Shin's parents died? I'm starting to get the feeling that evil wife set up his sister's and parents deaths. I'm wondering if it was a car accident and if the sister (and nephew) were supposed to be with them.
Why would there be a "therefore" in a simple statement of fact? You stated, "and here was i thinking since Netflix is a canadian company it would do better.." My reply was a correction. If you don't like it, that's your issue.
This may sound odd but I'm happy to see Park Shin Hye with a male lead that's in her age group. It's been almost 10 years. Her last 3 leading men have all been 10+ years older. I haven't seen Park Hyung Sik since he finished his military service. Fingers crossed for chemistry.
hmmm... Why does it feel like he told someone powerful 'no' and this is his punishment? No way he was using that much propofol w/o someone covering. Did he cause an accident or something? What justification did they have to test his hair?
I found so many Miike films by following some of my favorite actors, like Oguri Shun. Miike, like many directors, have his preferred actors with Oguri and Kunimura Jun. I think it's because they're talents are great and there's something odd about them. LOL I have no proof about that 2nd part but Miike is an oddball himself. I love it when he pops up in films like Neighbor #13 (starring Oguri) or Hostel.
Wow I replied and it disappeared. I don't see it so if this is double, just ignore the 2nd. Sorry. Leung is correct, The ending of the mystery was underwhelming. However, it's the most interesting thing about this drama followed by the SoL aspects surrounding the school kids. Honestly, for a myster/thriller or romcom, you can find better.
Stranger was my first time seeing Cho Seung Woo. Everytime I see him outside of the role I have a hard time reconciling. "Is that Shi Mok? That can't be Shi Mok! Is that really..nah!" I'm tiring myself. LOL His nose, especially in ep1 is throwing me off.
Yeomji...man... she should've been killed. Sorry, but she was horrid. Come to find out she knew about the guys in white and never said anything. WTF!
The end of creds was cute.
