I gotta be honest. As much as I'm enjoying this drama, I'm a little hesitant to finish this because of that broken heart (between Ep 24-25) in the calendar picture. I hate break ups in dramas in general but if the break up is resolved within the same or next episode, with a good amount of episodes left, I'll be okay with it, however if it takes for the very last episode for the lead couple to get back together, then it's a instant drop for me. I really hope this drama doesn't follow this format.
Everyone has their preference of this drama so it depends on what you like and don't like. My opinion, this is about average you can get for a C-drama. You have your typical rich CEO ML and not so rich but not poor FL, the usual bickering between the leads, typical C-drama issues (annoying family member trying to break the lead couple, annoying exes, jealous co-worker [minor role though], & a break up a few episodes before the last. I say the first 11 eps were okay. It's after that where the C-dramas clichés comes in and makes it more annoying for me. The good parts? The little boy has adorable scenes & the secondary characters are best friends of the leads. Everything else is just what you expect. Nothing really special or anything that stands out.
Yeah, I'm just not fan of C-dramas having a format like this. Break ups like several episodes before the last episode tends to ruin a drama for me, unless they can make up within the same episode or the next. I tend to try to avoid them to save me the headache.
At first, the FL didn't want to be a reminder of the truth but now the truth is out, she wants to be there for…
I don't know. Girl was literally going to leave the country for his sake. How is that being there for him when she literally was going to be out of his life? In her opinion, she thought that by doing this it would protect him, but I don't know, I felt like it would make it worst. Like she doesn't trust their relationship enough to face any kind of problems together. She could've been his support through all of this by staying together but instead chose to break up with him, thinking it will make it better but only made things worst. I gotta say, she got lucky she found out before leaving. I just wished she had that mentality of being there for him no matter what in the first place instead of just giving up her relationship just like that.
Yes true. I can't stand the wicked aunt. I just wished they would've made Yi Que stronger, stand firm, and fight for her love, not just giving up so easily.
I finished Ep 18 but after seeing the raws of Eps 19-22, this is a drop for me. I'm not a fan of last minute break ups toward the end of the drama (unless they make up in the same or next episode). I also can't stand the break up love theory "I love him so in order to protect him from being hurt from learning the truth, I need to break up with him". Shouldn't it be, you want him to know the truth and even if he's hurt by it, you'll be there for him when he process it all. FL's logic doesn't make sense because now she wants to be there for him after he learned the truth. This is so dumb.
That's what I thought too, it doesn't make sense for him to suicide on his best friend's birthday while planning…
That's what my first thought was too. Why would he planned & decorate her birthday party and then all of the sudden commit suicide? Doesn't make sense at all. As of now, my theory is Seo Jun was murder and then it was staged as a suicide. The friend or SML is definitely suspicious as of now.
I got to say, this drama is pretty interesting from the first two episodes. It's taking a different route than…
My initial thought was Ha Rin has 8 chances to go to the past by burning the photos. I thought that when she went to the past, she'll remain in the past until she messes up and then goes back to the present time and try again by burning another photo. However, this isn't the case at all. Ha Rin has 8 photos which all have 8 specific dates of the past on them. When she burns a photo with that date, she goes back to the past on that date.
Mr. Photo Ajusshi must be some kind of mystical being or something because he was the one who gave Ha Rin the photos and also warned her when she was in the past, "When you touch the past carelessly, there'll be big trouble." Relating to the Ajusshi's warning, you can tell Ha Rin is going to get herself in lots of trouble as she's already been careless in the past, affecting her present time.
I see a couple potential endings right now based on the first 2 episodes 1. Ha Rin saves Seo Jun from death and he is alive, being with her and their friends in the present time (Happy ending, this is what I want) 2. Seo Jun remains alive but at the cost of another life. It could be Ha Rin's life or one of the other friend. 3. Seo Jun doesn't die on Ha Rin's birthday but his death is inevitable. Ha Rin manages to prolong his time of living but he's still not with her in the present time 4. *JUST A THEORY: What if Seo Jun was murder instead and it was staged as a suicide? Right now, based on what I've saw far, it's not making sense to me why Seo Jun would end his life right after planning a birthday party for Ha Rin, the girl he loves. Could this lead to Ha Rin going back to the past instead to prevent Seo Jun from being murder later on? Hmm....
I got to say, this drama is pretty interesting from the first two episodes. It's taking a different route than what I initially thought from reading the summary. However, with this kind of story plot, I'm a little hesitant on how it might end because I'm a big happy ending kind of guy. I'll post my thoughts below as spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet or are curious.
At this point, I'm just sticking through because I'm too invested into the characters. The latest episodes (18-22) released is just nonsense now. I don't really see the reason why they decided to introduce a villain and waste the latest episodes on this. They literally had good content in the beginning that should've taken a few episodes but was shorten and rushed, only to showcase something that I felt was pointless and should've been cut out from the script. They literally strayed away from the initial plot at this point. To those who dropped it, you're not missing much, to those who are sticking around like me, I wish you good luck and patience. Kudos to those who are enjoying it regardless.
I done watching this. I also came here after falling into your smile. This drama is full of misunderstanding between…
I know right! Before starting on this drama, I read the reviews which were mostly positive but after finishing the drama, I'm like, did I miss something? I was so frustrated by the misunderstandings, the numerous bad things happening to the ML & FL, and the lack of gaming scenes. The gaming poster that shows the team doesn't even happen until the very last few episodes and that was the best part of the drama. I was really deceived by the ratings and the reviews.
After watching the first 2 episodes, I'm not really sure on the direction where this drama is going if I'm being honest. Nice visuals, great cast, but the 2 episodes were just okay to me.
It's not like MPUB because they help people's problems through dreams. HDL helps the spirits resolve their problem so they can go to the afterlife. These two dramas gives me more meaning in their drama as you care for these people's or spirits' stories.
The Witch's Diner has a different concept. Yes, desperate people come in because they're at the lowest point of their life but having a wish granted at a cost makes it seems like the customers won't be truly helped because there's always a catch. It almost seems like there's always a punishment for getting their wish granted.
I know it's just the beginning of this drama but I just can't help and wonder how much details are they going to put in this drama and how to make it flow smoothly, since it's only 8 episodes total.
I guess I'll see how this week's episodes play out. On the plus side, Chae Jong Hyeop has a very handsome smile. Hope we get to see that smile more often.
After watching 12 episodes, for me, I say the editing is okay the first 2 episodes, very sloppy and rushed for Eps 3-7, but gets a bit better from Eps 8-12. I think having a set location in these episodes helped out the pacing a whole lot better than earlier on. I just hope they can continue with this pace for next week's episodes.
I mean his mom already a took a liking to her when she met her in Ep 3, the scene where Yan Lan asked his mom…
True. Small details seemed to be edited out but just shows how important they are needed. Same here for me too. 1st two episodes were good for me too and then it was just all scrambled up with the scenes. I have a hard time keeping track what's going on. It was more noticeable on Ep 6 because too much was just going on and so quickly too. I felt like had this been a 40 episode drama like "You Are My Hero", the pace may have been a lot better. Everything just felt so rushed.
