So I decide to spoil myself to see if this drama is worth my time since the 36 episodes have been released (not all subbed yet as I'm writing this).
- Just skimming through some episodes, I can say I like the leads a lot. Chemistry and some comedy which I seem to enjoy. - Of course, it looks like we have the evil exs who are annoying and frustrating. I will be skipping their scenes. I'm not sure I would consider them second leads. I'll just call these two outcasts cause they're annoying. The second leads seems to be a secondary couple who supports the main lead couple which is great. - Here's your typical breakup scene where one usually hurts the other by lying to them due to circumstances. In this case, the guy is sick and doesn't want the girl he loves to know so he lies that he doesn't love her. I think it was her fault too because she keeps having doubts which led to him being like this. So dumb. I'm not sure why Chinese writers like this kind of plot. As for usual Chinese dramas, it happens towards the last few episodes. The good news, this love breakup only lasts 2 episodes. Break up Ep 32, Sadness in Ep 33. They make up in Ep 34 just in time for happiness for 35 & 36. - The ending is happy but I felt like it was just missing something, in a way it did felt a bit rushed. * Overall, I'm gonna binged watch this once it's all subbed. Doesn't seem to bad. Just going to pass the 2 terrible episodes.
I have never watched a C-drama when it's currently airing. I want to with this one because the trailer looks good & the plot sounds good but I'm always hesitant just because most of the writers tend to ruin a C-drama for me when throwing conflict towards the last few episodes of the drama, making the ending felt rushed or leaving it at a huge cliffhanger/open ended. I'm one of those people where I want to know if it's worth investing time to watch a drama based on seeing how the final episode plays out.
Honestly this drama would've been like the best for me had it avoided the breakup scene. I just didn't like the route the writer decided to take on this. My take: It should've been ZFZ found out his fake results of a potential inherit disease, him being afraid and vulnerable but as ZX notices something bothering him, she asks and he tells her truthfully that he's afraid he's not good enough for her or afraid he can't make her happy. She reassures him and they work it through together. The officials found out that the evil witch messed with ZFZ's lab results and gets jail time for her crimes because that's personal health information she touched and modified for her selfish deeds. ZFZ gets a call and finds out the truth and there you go, happy moments from there on.
So because of that, Love Equations is still decent just because of the lead's chemistry but for me it doesn't beat PYHOMS, Love O2O, or Le Coup De Foudre.
If anybody wonders if you should watch Hero Dog 2 before watching Hero Dog 3, I say you should. It gives a bit of an idea how Xiao Xi became a rescue dog and also the scenes shown of Xiao Xi and his previous scenes with Ou Ye would have more meaning as well compared to just watching season 3 and not season 2.
Wow that old geezer not only fooled the characters but also the audience. Just think 3 to 4 weeks ago, nobody suspected this guy. Man the writers are good with this. You have no idea how many times I tried guessing who's the real villain but turned out wrong. Love the suspense.
Oh great.... misunderstandings. I can't stand dramas with this kind of plot because the evil people will likely get away with their evil deeds knowing Chinese dramas and the main leads will suffer a lot.
I started on this based on the top reviews but I'm already really annoyed with Tong Nian to the point where I feel like dropping this. They made her too dumb in my opinion. Instantly falling in love at first glance and then stalking him to where Shang Yan goes. I'm gonna hope her character gets better but still pretty annoying. Otherwise, plot seems interesting with funny side characters.
There's one side couple but majority of the viewers hate the pairing. The writer handled this pairing very poorly.
Okay so this side couple is Cheol Jin & Jin Bong. Cheol Jin & Jin Bong were in-laws first because Cheol Jin's sister Hae Jin (the female lead) married Jin Bong's brother Jin Sang (2nd male lead). Cheol Jin never knew how his in-laws looked like so he didn't know how Jin-Bong looked like. That's because Jin-Bong looked one way before she got plastic surgery. After that she saw Cheol Jin for the first time because of her audition. She first hated him but then started to like him and was on a mission to go after him, not knowing that's her in-law (eventually ex in-law). Cheol Jin hated her a lot because of her personality but eventually felt sorry for her as he said harsh words to her.
Now here's where a lot of viewers start to hate the couple. Cheol Jin was drunk after finding out that his sister was cheated on and wasn't told about it. Jin Bong found him and Cheol Jin said he didn't want to go home so she takes him to the hotel. He was drunk and vulnerable and she took advantage of him (some people would say she raped him). Eventually she becomes preggo because of her choice and yeah that's how you get this side couple who are madly in love with each other but makes most of the viewers sick.
honestly youngwoong has it ROUGH.poor boy got bullied to the extent of changing his name and dieting, had a lying…
I feel so bad for him. I just wanna be his good friend and beat that idiot Jae Young up. Seriously Jae Young is just so ARG! I hope he dies next week. Can't stand the guy.
Let me get this straight, based on Ep 12, Young Gil, the first guy who died, was suppose to die in this episode had he survived the reset, but to make up for that missing death, his co-worker took his place and died instead. So does that mean that Shin Ga Hyun was suppose to die a lot earlier (maybe the first one to be killed off) but because she protected herself in the time of where she suppose to die, her backstabber friend took her place instead to fulfill the death? Yikes!
i know they're going to explain it in more detail later but i'm confused at what she said at the end there? they…
I think it depends on what she means by "dead". It could be that they were all alive but dead on the inside based on what happened to them OR the train accident killed all of the resetters because they were all on board and died that day along with her daughter. Maybe she wants to kill all of the resetters so her daughter will have a different outcome because the resetters won't be on board the train. Although the logic here wouldn't make sense if that was the case. Why not just don't let your daughter ride the train so she won't died?
