If i was watching this 2 years ago when i started watching kdramas, i would have absolutely loved this, but ive come too far now to see the difference between this drama and every other romance drama out there.
Pretty faces, ml absolutely infatuated with fl for little to no reason (she mistook him as a delivery man and gave him an umbrella, and hes been in love w her since them. Im sorry, what?? Get a life. Maybe i should do that aswell, and someone will fall in love w me), overly energetic fl (still love the actress tho♡), a massive overload of cute moments that they just become boring, cheap, and lose their magic, and ofcourse, the murder side plot because a drama gotta have some drama, right?
Im not even disappointed, because im so used to these overused plots now, but of course, i still keep watching them like an idiot (im 6eps behind tho)
Instead of romance, this should have been a friendship and youth drama with the fl, ml, and sml, because it did have potential.
It should have been about their mental and physical struggles, like im sol slowly recovering her legs, and what she went through when she first lost them, or maybe her still being in a wheelchair, but dealing with it differently, about the ml not being able to swim anymore, and how that impacted him, because it was his dream, and i wanted to see the story behind the bad boy sml
Instead, the fl gets her legs back after so many years, cries about it once, mentions it 1 ir 2 times, and done, no more about it.
Ml can't swim anymore, cries twice, is depressed for an episode, gets mad at his father, and done, no more about it.
Also, from the 6 episodes ive watched so far, im pretty sure we dont get a back story of the sml. His only purpose is to be a second male lead. He likes the girl, chases after her, makes the ml jealous. Job done.
