I honestly don't know which is worse, Su Hyeon, the violent, reckless, power abuser, or Jaemin, the gaslighting, selfish and terrifyingly smart "friend" with ulterior motives?? They're a whole fucking mess and more, I don't know whether I should be scared or impressed (I'm honestly both, but more the former). As I'm watching this mess unfold, I'm just staring at my screen like BombasticSideEye²
If i knew how to play chess and understood the power dynamic between the different pieces, i could probably write an analysis on the significance of Su Hyeon knocking whatever piece that was and replacing it with the horse, but i don't, so for now, lets just leave it at he frightens the fuck outta me, and i hope in a million years to never come accross someone like him....
The first 2 episodes I was genuinely terrified of Su Hyeon, every cold, piercing stare and every threatening word gave me goosebumps with my little hairs shooting straight up, but seeing Jaemin's true self has me just as terrified, heck, probably even more....
Can we just talk about what a little scheming motherfucker Jaemin is, doing everything in his power to keep Daon locked tightly around his little finger, "it's you and me against the world" never sounded scarier, because this take on it is frickin jaw dropping. From fake dating Su Hyeon to keep him away from Daon to getting someone to take advantage of him so he can come and play the hero, this man just keeps stooping to a new low, and he's taking my jaw right there with him.
It's not even that he's doing all this that has me shook, but the fact that he's doing all this BEHIND DAON'S BACK, acting like he has Daon's best interests at heart, and that he cares for Daon the most when really, he's the one orchestrating it all, just to fulfil his sick little fantasies.
The way my wary-ness levels of men has skyrocketed....
