Title Love Is Phantom Spoiler
Momo is concerned about Kei and Fukami because neither of them eat or sleep, they’re always super busy, and…
I’m also thinking there’s something special about Momo. On two different occasions Kei fell into Momo’s arms like he was about to faint but was quickly revived after holding her. Then Fukami said “heal me too” when he tried to kiss Momo. And when Momo’s manager asks Kei why he has changed his behavior his answer is interesting. He says “Because I met her. She’s the one I’ve been looking for.” It’s also interesting that the older man in the hat and coat keeps talking about how Momo’s smile soothes people. And in the next episodes preview Kei says Momo is special because she’s the only one who wants to protect him. Then I remembered that Kei kissed her on the rooftop right after she showed concern for his safety. So is she some type of protector or healer for people like Kei? Or am I just reading way too much into this?

Momo is concerned about Kei and Fukami because neither of them eat or sleep, they’re always super busy, and their hands are abnormally cold. When Momo asks Kei why he’s always so busy he says “because I couldn’t live without doing so.” So is Kei not human? Could he be a vampire? In the intro he’s wearing a cape and mask. He takes off the mask, pulls her into his arms then whips the cape over her head. It looks like a scene out of one of those vampire movies. What do you guys think?

While waiting for the next episode to come out, I started thinking about what we’ve seen so far and doing a lot of analyzing. The drama has given us a lot of hints about the mystery behind Kei and his hidden past. I’m posting my thoughts and conclusions below and marking it as a spoiler for those who haven’t watched the drama yet. I would love your thoughts on the subject.

You might be on to something. It all makes much more sense. I mean, why else would he have cold lips? Cold hands are common but cold lips? That’s just strange! And his friend keeps asking if he’s told her about his past. He keeps saying that she doesn’t know who he really is.

I’ve already watched all 4 episodes released so far and I agree. He seems very loving and protective of her. I’m watching it on Viki and in their description of the drama it made it seem like he was cold towards her. It said that after their first kiss her attempts to talk to him at work were met with “cold indifference” numerous times. That’s why I was concerned about his attitude towards her. It’s not the first time Vicki’s description of a drama was misleading or incorrect. Yes he was a bit cold the first time to protect her reputation. But after that he was super sweet and they agreed to hide their relationship from their workmates.

Thank you dramadisciple ♡ your review clarified a lot. I will just skip everything except the leads scenes :DI…
In the beginning it’s so funny, light, and fluffy that you probably won’t need to skip ahead much. But about halfway through it goes from fluffy romcom to lots of melodrama and that’s when you’ll be appreciating that fast forward button. I think I would have liked the drama a lot more if I had done that.

Why are people commenting that too many things are going on?I love ♡fluffy stuff♡ with No or less complications…
That’s a good idea. You will enjoy the drama a lot more if you do that. And with it being 24 episodes that are only 30 minutes long, the drama will be a quick easy watch.

There’s just a lot of different characters and their problems brought into the drama. There’s a jealous ex girlfriend and her issues. Then there’s the FL’s guy friend who’s obsessed with her sister. Then the main leads siblings are star crossed lovers with all types of issues. Plus there’s lots of flashbacks of the grandpa and all the problems he’s caused. Then there’s the twins parents story of how they divorced and raised the girls separately. Then there’s a secondary love story between the main leads best friends. There’s just so many characters and subplots introduced that the drama seems to get a little confusing and loses its focus. I explain all of this in my review if you want to check it out. It’s pretty fluffy and there’s some angst and melodrama but nothing is over the top. Things get resolved fairly quickly.

Title She Is the One Spoiler
I'm confused. Did they have children and then get married or are they both pregnant during the wedding?
They had their babies before the wedding. Yue Yue mentions their children briefly before the wedding. But it’s a quick little blurb that’s easily overlooked. I had to go back and freeze the screen and read it. Yue Yue’s sister is pregnant again and Jin Chen asks Yue Yue if she wants another child and she says no. Then he sulks.
But that makes more sense because his brother Liang Ye spent some time in prison. So the wedding would have taken place after they had the babies and he got released.

That’s the way Coffee & Vanilla was. They had sex at the end of the first episode. It’s not something I watch consistently but I like to mix things up a bit and watch a fast paced Jdrama occasionally.

Thanks. That’s the info I was looking for. I don’t mind an isolated incident of coldness if there’s a good reason. It sounds like a drama I’d be interested in. I think I’ll go ahead and watch it.
On Love Is Phantom Jun 2, 2021
I’m thinking about watching this since a lot of people are comparing it to Coffee & Vanilla which I really liked. But I’m hearing that the ML is cold towards the FL. I’m not crazy about dramas where the ML is mean or rude to the FL. I know the FL is shy and often pulls back from the ML advances, but it doesn’t seem like it’s because she doesn’t like him. It sounds like she likes him but she’s shy and naive which I think is cute. So I don’t think I’ll mind the spicy scenes. I just don’t want to suffer through a rude cold overbearing CEO that treats the girl he likes as if she’s nothing and not important to him. Can anyone clarify things for me? Is the ML mean and overbearing?

Title Love Scenery Spoiler
I actually liked Shan Shan’s character arc. I met such people in college who seemingly destroyed their lives…
True, those two are from Korea but China did a remake of Kill Me Heal Me called Seven Of Me that was pretty good. It addressed mental health issues quite well. China has recently made dramas similar to those two and seems to be trying to progress in that area as well. Or at least in their dramas they’re acknowledging and addressing mental health problems a little more than they used to. They aren’t as progressive as Korea but hopefully they’re headed in the right direction.

It’s a part of Asian culture to downplay or ignore mental health problems. With all of the idol and actor suicides they seem to be trying to fix that but they still have a long ways to go. I was pleasantly surprised how well mental health issues were addressed in Kill Me Heal Me and It’s Okay To Not Be okay. After those dramas this drama disappointed me with how they addressed Shan Shan’s problems. But it was still overall a great drama. I really liked it.

Had there been a diagnosis along with therapy and counseling her storyline would have been so much better. If it was understood that her self destruction was not normal but a result of severe depression or some other mental issue her story would have been much more believable. Instead we are lead to believe that a healthy happy normal young woman with no issues whatsoever destroys her life, career and friendship over one failed relationship. The way they presented it was just not realistic. I was left disappointed because they kept building it up like something super devastating happened. I expected for him to have died or to be in a coma. She’s a great actress and deserved a better storyline than what they gave her.

The music is way above average and a delight to listen to. The gaming aspect is very interesting with them having different themes and costumes for each game. The main couple have amazing chemistry and steamy kisses. But my biggest complaint is the storyline of the second female lead, Shan Shan. A lot of time is spent hinting at a past relationship that devastated her and ruined her life. There was a big buildup about her intriguing past that ended up being a big letdown. I was left scratching my head saying ‘that was it?’ My advice is to skip the second couple’s story and you’ll love this drama much much more.

I enjoyed watching this, my room com guilty pleasure. The only thing that was a pet peeves was they wanted me to…
I thought the same thing as you did then I realized they never said how long she was in the previous relationship. It could have been a few months or just a few weeks. The way she easily walked away from him makes me think they hadn’t been together for very long. And in Asia they don’t jump into bed with each other right away like we often do in America. They often spend months getting to know each other before they sleep together. I think it’s hard for you us to view it as being very realistic since our dating culture is so different.

I completely forgot that the page can be edited by anyone. I just assumed that the administrators at MDL did it. But you’re right. If someone is set on changing it to Memorials they will keep changing it back to that. It’s too bad because changing a dramas name like that is confusing.
