I’ve never seen mydramalist change a drama name like that. So I don’t know what to expect. It would be nice if they changed it back but I doubt they will. I knew it by “Into The Ring” so when I hear “Memorials” I get confused.
Countless times while watching I remember thinking - now that's a good time to say you miscarried the non-existent…
I agree it was just a minor annoyance. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the comments because they were very biased and misleading. It was a great drama and I’m glad I watched it.
Very cute, light and fluffy until the last few episodes. Then the angst and plot twists hit. I really wish Chinese dramas would either stick with being a lighthearted romcom throughout the whole drama or just be a melodrama from the beginning. I don’t mind a romcom having slight or moderate angst sprinkled here and there. But this romcom was literally super sweet funny and angst free for three fourths of the drama then it went into full melodrama mode with heavy angst for the last fourth of the drama. That being said, it was still a pretty cute drama worth the watch. Just be forewarned that it gets really melodramatic in the last few episodes.

When it aired mydramalist could have chosen “Into The Ring,” or “The Ballot” or “Memorials” since all three titles were mentioned all over the internet at the time. But of the three, they chose “Into The Ring.” But for some reason several months later they’ve changed the title which is something I’ve never seen them do. It’s just odd. My friend says the “Into The Ring” title is probably offensive in some way or maybe it’s not politically correct. Oh well, who knows. I do agree that “Memorials” makes more sense.
I wanted to rewatch “Into The Ring” but before I did I wanted to look at my review to refresh my memory, but I couldn’t find it. I can’t believe they changed the name to “Memorials.” On Viki it’s still “Into The Ring.” Different websites use different names because of copyright issues. For instance, “Heirs” is called “The Inheritors” on Netflix. I’m wondering if they changed the name here for that reason. But that doesn’t make sense because they don’t air dramas here so no copyright issues should be involved. Anyone have any idea why the name was changed? I know it goes by several names like most dramas do. But I’ve never seen this website use one name for many months then suddenly switch to a different name. Anyone have any clues as to why they did it?
Agreed with you with the times flaw & many inconsistency within the 2 season. The story line itself i explained…
Yeah I’ve heard that the storyline is all screwed up and not in the order it was written in the book. In season 1 they obviously didn’t follow the book’s storyline. But then in season 2 they tried to go more by the book but that created so many disappointing inconsistencies that really hurt the drama. As for Solo buying the house to get with Appledog, he bought that place right after his friend told him not to give up on Appledog. Then in the next scene he stands in the training facility and remembers all of the good times he had there with Appledog when they were dating. Then when Solo tried to have a heartfelt talk with Appledog and give her keys to that place, Wubai stopped him out of jealousy. Wubai even asked Appledog “Do you know what the meaning is behind those keys?” Solo was giving her the keys to try to make her go there and remember all of their good times they had there together as a couple. He was trying to rekindle their romance. And Wubai knew Solo was trying to use that place that had all their memories together to try and get back with Appledog, that’s why he stopped Solo. Overall I think we can agree that while this drama is good it isn’t anywhere near as good as season 1.
Hi can someone clarify if in GGS, was aiqing and solo a couple before?
Aiqing didn’t break up with Solo because his ex dumped a child on him he’d never known about. She broke up with him because he made a lot of huge decisions without ever consulting her about it. All of their friends knew his plans except her and she was his girlfriend. They ended up just being friends. In the end she was even friends with his ex and his daughter. But their relationship was platonic.
Really? I found the female lead so passive. One minute she does not like the male lead, next minute she is accepting…
The female lead was touched by the male leads actions but rejected him because she thought he liked another girl in addition to her. She said she wanted a man that only had her in his heart. But once she found out about their shared past and that he always had only her in his heart, that’s when she accepted his feelings.
I felt like the reason doctors behavior should be understood was because they were under tremendous pressure dealing with stressful life and death decisions.
I guess we all have different takes on dramas. But this one seemed very cozy and warm to me. It was a bit slow in some parts but the romance was really sweet. It’s funny how we have such differing feelings about the drama. I respect your opinion though. But I thought the overall rating of 8.5 was spot on. It’s one of the rare times I agreed and rated it similarly in my review.
This has a very laid back chill vibe like “When the weather is fine” and “A piece of your mind.” It has a warm cozy sweet feel to it. I love that the female lead is strong and confident too. And can we talk about the kissing scenes for a minute? I mean not only are they very realistic and steamy, but there are tons of them! I’ve been watching Asian dramas for years and I think this drama wins the prize for the most kisses. The boy just couldn’t keep his lips off of her. I loved their chemistry and am already missing it.
Put Your Head On My Shoulder (both leads are in it too, FL is the same)A Love So Beautiful (Chinese original version)Love…
We have the exact same taste in dramas. I’ve watched all you’ve listed except Run On which is on my watch list. I agree that all of those listed are exceptionally good dramas.
Thank you so much! I put so much effort into my reviews. I even take notes as I’m watching. It’s nice to know…
If you like Coffee & Vanilla then you should definitely watch Shanai Marriage Honey. It just came out. It’s just like it with really spicy scenes and real kisses. It’s hard to find good English subs but the best place to watch it is at Irozuku subs.
Thank you so much, I really enjoyed reading your review, you're quite good at it ! I watched this show four times…
Thank you so much! I put so much effort into my reviews. I even take notes as I’m watching. It’s nice to know my efforts are appreciated. If you become my friend on this site you’ll have access to all of my reviews, my watch list, my recommendations, and my lists of all my time favorite dramas. And I can access your info too.
This is a lighthearted feel good romcom that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I enjoyed it. I wish they explained things better at the end. And I could have done without the time jump. But overall it was a pleasant watch. Nothing groundbreaking or amazing, but sweet, cute and very romantic.
Irozuku.org Now has all 7 episodes in English subs. Her subs are really professional too. Such a cute drama but you’ve got to turn your brain off and relax to enjoy it.
