The poor kid broke my heart…..

Not once did his mother ever apologize or acknowledge her fault. She didn’t even think that the kid is losing his family let’s not take away his home. She was just going to sell their home. The ML is really true a gentleman for taking the blame infront of the kid. I hope the FL will suffer in her redemption arc.

We all need supportive and loving husbands like the ML.

For me it was the part where she threw at him „how could you embarrass me in public“.. This woman is gas lighting this power man. Like for once we legit have a script with a good man and here goes the woman being all crazy. It’s like she blames him for her having to work. Atleast Episode 28 they gave us a break. He needs to leave her..

After watching episode 25 & 26 .. I agree with the comments. I mean the core problem between them both is the lack of communication. However the blow up on episode 26 was an opportunity for them to communicate but she is giving him the cold shoulder. Also her business partner is such a fake friend, she knows exactly that the FL college senior brother is into cherry and she keeps encouraging them working together. She even had the guts to ask their kid if the parents have been fighting?!? Like WTF?!?

Oh man shame poor kid will be traumatized.

This is just a little rant regarding Seven‘s outfits the first 30 episodes. Like what was with the trench coats?? I mean she is the true definition of petite… it felt like she was always drowning drowning in the c oats and some of the outfits they put her in were straight up terrible. The stylists failed poor Xing‘s character.

I think because of his high IQ.. the ML is supposed to be „on the spectrum“… If you‘ve watched how I met you‘ve watched ‚ the Big Bang theory‘ think Sheldon Cooper. In this regard I think the male lead portrayed the role very well. He really did a good job.

How the writers wrote her character was so disappointing.. all the scenes with her felt like watching paint dry. Yang Jian was such a G, even better than the ML he deserved to find love with someone that appreciated him.

It feels like Zhao Yang wanted to be with him, so she could have someone who would always have her toothpaste ready.

Overall for an artists, her character was written very badly. It was such a let down

I agree with you. I’ve stopped watching the show (watched till ep 20) just so I can wait for all episodes to be available this way I can make a subjective comparison. I will say the novel was beautiful and really depicted a romance That goes for me along the lines of „the notebook“… will always have me hoping to find a true love like theirs.

We’ll see how the show ends. I will say I like how they decided to depict some characters on the show. The show has its own charm. But as I’ve said we‘ll see how it progresses.

I was super excited for this to come out. But at the moment it feels more like a snoozefest than a hit. I feel like the writers dropped the ball. I mean we have really good leads (in terms of acting)… but so far I’m not sold on the writing and everything just feels flat. We are 16 episodes in and it’s still missing that pazzaz… I’m hoping it gets better.

Yeah the writers failed here. Like the part with her own start up was totally unnecessary and made no sense. The last 2 episodes where a let down. Apart from that the rest of it was beautifully shot and written.

If we are honest.. their chemistry is my 😕.. we‘ve seen both actors have better chemistry with their own skill partners. Also the writers failed where we could have had an epic underdog story.

Every now and then C-dramaland will give us a gem. This is it. everything about it is well done, acting, costumes,cinematography and writing!!

Personally this goes down as one of the top c-dramas of the last years.

More focus on him could have definitely made the show better.

What in the low budget, bad writing and acting did I just waste 40 hours of my life on? 🤣🤣

So I’ve read that this is based of a true story. Hence all the more reason why it was such a let down, it had so much potential. With better writing, production (let’s not even go into the crappy fight scenes).. this could have been such a good show.

This should have been 20 episodes max. Was not a big fan of the side couple stories. It has soo much pontential but fell through.

I managed to finish with a lot of skipping parts. Worth watching if you are bored and need something to fill the time. Cinematography was not all bad.

This was surprisingly very well done. C-dramas tend to go a little crazy with the plot, but this was executed very well. For a low budget show (my assumption cause a lot of the fight scenes were skipped)… But overall I was very impressed with the cast. Highly recommend this. you will not regret the almost 40 hours invested watching the show.
