It was stupid, cringy and crazy, yet somehow entertaining. It was refreshing in the sense, the FL at least makes efforts to retaliate against the load of crap shoved at her. I was laughing so hard at the sheer exaggeration of some scenes that the water I was drinking came out through my nose. The fl is shown as the sweet innocent kind human sandbag by rote. I always like a detour from that. Though I didn’t agree with all the choices she made, I still stayed to watch something different.
The Fl is not a likable character. She plays a mistress in both her lives. The difference between her dealing with the situations brought by her mistress-role though kept me amused. In her first life she was the typical poor naïve peasant girl who gets baited by the rich manipulative son of a lord. It’s my interpretation. I didn’t like that ml’s character one bit in both the lives. Then all the clichés happen. The man obviously doesn’t marry her because she’s beneath his class and he is too weak to confront his mother. Therefore, enters the vamp trope -- the girl suitable to be married to the Ml. All the usual shenanigans happen following that. The poor girl is blamed for seducing the innocent (as if) ml. She and her whole family gets abused, tortured finally killing the girl. Blegh!
Fast forward to the present life. Fl is a superstar. Ml is a businesswoman’s son. Every character reborn in the same roles of relationship (obviously). Their nature almost same except -- the fl fights back now and the wife of the ml is not as evil as the previous life. Still it’s the same loop of blaming only the fl for seducing the ml. The fl falling for the same old bullshit of the ml about loving her even without leaving the wife. The sweet sml is the same supportive to the Fl in both lives.
So, here’s what I liked about the show. It showed a Fl with nerves and the nice sml got the happy ending. The Fl is so ballsy and vengeful here that she cruises back and forth between both her lives for revenge. It was exciting to watch the unlikely heroine slapping, kicking cursing and doing a lot of other ungainly things while manipulating her way to vendetta.
I wanted to watch it for Toey but ended up hating his character. Nicha’s acting is remarkable. I have seen both of them in sweet angelic roles. This was a stupefying change. And Pon was a douche in Tra Barb whereas the sweet angel here. Toey's chemistry with both the actresses is smokin! They threw in some shirtless scenes and more to turn up the heat! lol. Pon didn’t get any chance to that. I wish he had since he’s the one that fl ended up with.
Never gonna watch it again. But it was a nice crackpot one-time-watch.
yes i am feeling the same about that cheating thingy , to me the bf was alright good looking good job and all…
See, I have so many questions now! That's why I am uncomfortable about watching it. I mean from the two episodes I've watched she felt like a strong character. That's one thing I liked about this drama. So if she was unsatisfied with the relationship couldn't she have broken up with the bf before she started a new relationship. She eventually did, I think. Please don't mind. I am just saying what I felt.
dont think it was intentionally cut - they added eps and extended it but he already had obligations and couldn't…
Not just the sudden death of the character, it's how they treat him after that like completely forgetting as if he never existed in the first place, that pissed me off more.
I dropped this drama the first two times after 15 minutes into the first episode. I chose to watch it primarily because I love fantasy and the plot seemed interesting. But I didn't have conviction in Taiwanese Dramas’ ableness to complete it without making it boring or sluggish. No offense! T-dramas have come a long way down from being one of the better quarters of Asian Drama. They used to have interesting scripts, some of which are still replicated in other languages, and organic direction and cinematography. The first 15 minutes were not enough drawing for me. But this time I watched it while waiting for another drama to finish. So, I held off my urge to drop after 15 minutes and decided to go through it notwithstanding. I am glad that I did.
I don’t know after how long I have been this satisfied with a T-drama. The storytelling delivers on the interesting plot without being messy. The show doesn’t lose its momentum even once throughout. The mystery was intact until the episode it decided to hint at it. The fantasy element was woven into the story to efficacy. The love-story was also transpiring along the way of the mystery. Everything was aptly blended together. I have two sorta sand-grains in my eyes though. First one is how the girl’s character is written. I mean in a profession like hers lack of grey cells can get her sued or fired or killed each time she goes on the field. The second was at the end and I am trying to not spoil something for once.
The whole cast was new to me. I liked everyone's acting. The ml looks like Jo Jong Suk a lot. The fl is beautiful with those big, can’t determine the color, eyes and beautiful smile with tiny dimples in the lower corners of the lips. I don’t see many with dimples in such a place. The chemistry of the leads was so gooey. Another chemistry I liked, which was not meant for romance, was… I guess anyone can see if they watch. Their chemistry was hot hot hot! That man can kiss and how! Even the pining was pretty steamy!
I watched 2 episodes. I love Jung Hae In so freaking much! But I don't know if I can go on with the cheating element. It's really frustrating how I am unable to watch his dramas since he started as a main lead because of the uneasy (for me) plots. I couldn't finish SIR either.

The ending was well tied up to my satisfaction.
