I friggin loved it! Not that it was perfect or anything. It was but perfectly entertaining. The story and everything had a lot of the lakorn clichés, yet it was not overtly ridiculous. I mean the main characters' behaviour and reactions were pretty reasonable (save few).
When I first saw the English translation of the title - "Subduing the she-devil", I knew it would be kinda like The Taming of the shrew/ten things I hate about you, and it was (well, sorta). They did a good job with the main story. It was not boring. the girl was unabashedly nasty and didn't bother pretending anything else, and the guy was sent to woo her as a pretext for revenge. While the elders behaved largely like teenagers, I didn't care. I wasn't there to see them anyway. They were extremely good-looking though.
The main cast, Ml and FL were ideal for their roles. I must say, I got my third girl-crush in Fern (after kimmy and sammy). She is absolutely gorgeous and performed her character faultlessly. She is an amazing actress, natural and spontaneous. She is another actress whom I utterly adored in spite of the nasty character she played . How she was with her staff in the office, though exaggerated, yet had no excuse, even for the slightest cause (in the show). Hence, she-devil. But she knew what she was and owned it. No miss sunshine act. Even when she was a screaming, cussing, slapping b***h, I was in awe [ofthe acting].
I mainly wanted to watch it for Tao and came out loving Fern too. Tao is both cute and sexy at the same time. what! how even! He has this gentlemanly appearance yet in DArk Fairy Tale he played a sexy playboy to an awesome credibility. He is great with the kisses and skinship (so is Baifern. gosh! even gfs name is so beautiful) and thus conveys the chemistry believably, of course, provided the co-actress is equally or even partly good, i.e. like, Fern or Aokbab (DFL). I hope he never gets a no-kiss-agreement actress like Pattie again (nothing personal).
Overall, it's not half-bad; pretty good, in fact. I will probably watch it again. Just can't get enough of the couple.

I get you. But you know, all reasoning is lost on me when it comes to desperate heroines. They irk me to bones. One of my few hard passes for a show. For this reason only I couldn't watch jugglers in spite of Choi Daniels. Yet, this one's an exception due to the everything-else's-too-perfect-to-resist factor. hehe

I kid you not... Smile has left your eyes is the only drama that gave me complete satisfaction this year - couple and story (though devil was couple goals, the story was...). Looking forward to Strange hero and now this one to getting over since both have my favourite actors. 2019 is gonna be a dream in dramaland for me. A lot of my favourite actors as well as couples are showing up. Star galore! If everything goes uninterrupted (unlike the DF nonsense), I'll be probably end up with permanent panda eyes at the end of the year. I wish you panda-eyes too! What can be a better gift for a drama lover. Or is it different for you! Haha...

I so agree with you on the looking alike part. I have noticed this before too that some of the most suitable couples come off as siblings. There are other two couples I find has the symmetry like so. Park Min Young-Park Seo Joon and Lee Dong Wook -Yoo In Na couples look so good together that they seem as the yin-yang meant to be. Of course, it's just my opinion.

WTF! It's not airing this week due to soccer! Just like what happened with Rebel. While I was eagerly waiting for the episodes, it got postponed by two weeks. issshhh!
Don't they have sports channels for this kinda stuff! Why does the shows get postponed due to a match or other unrelated stuff. Is there a lack of dedicated channels for such things like; election results (news), soccer (sports), cooking channel, what have you!
I just saw a clip of the beautiful scene [kiss] on YT and must say Song babe has come a long long way from her days of the shy girl whose hesitation always manifested onscreen in the kissing scenes. She's now this experienced, professional actress having let go of her inhibitions. Kudos to the chemistry!
And btw, though she does look a bit older than Gummy, but that age difference comes off as 2-3 years, at the most. I could've never guessed if hadn't known the real ages. And Gawd does this woman ever look bad. I don't think she has a single bad angle. *sigh*. Blessed beings! Both. My eyes are on the verge of dying from so much gorgeousness! omono! ottokke!
