I can't get the tone of the drama! This is so not a romcom! It has some dark sh1t going parallelly along with the fluffy stuff. Like the caretaker b1tch is trying to throttle Seul bi's mom. WTF!
Soo Kwang at least should tell Seul Bi to not go rattling about his name everywhere! Tell her something like he'd be dead if people found out or he really would be.
I have so much rant churning inside me for this drama but just like the writer (i don't think kwon ki Young contributed anything besides her name to this screenplay given her track record; the new writer could be her relation somehow ) took only the time to make an instant ramyun to write this script seeing the quality, i'll also not spend anymore time on it and move on.
So my review: Good OST. Good Moon Ga Yong, Very Good Jin Goo. Very Good Chemistry. Terrible screenplay and writing. Boring overall drama.
All of you wanna personally call them writers and bug them with questions about all the loose ends they left for you, you have the writers answer from Jingoo's mouth: Questions are more important than answers, said Mr Einstien. So now you can go rest and let the writers write more incomplete scripts. Yall so curious for no reason! smh
The problem for me with this drama is, I am just so uninterested in everything happening here.
The only thing that will keep me watching is Jingoo and his and Moon Ga yong's time together and the delightful appearances of Ye Soo Jung sshi because she can never disappoint or bore even in the most damning scene.
Never have I ever been so uninterested before in the whodunnit, whydunnit and howdunnit of a mystery. I don't care about what happened to Gye Hoon's sister or where did the deadbody go or why the neighborhood is acting so unnecessarily shady and mysterious. I am too uninvested for that.
I just want to know why Gye Hoon feels Da hyun's feelings and why doesn't she feel his. That's that.
The supporting characters are all not only flat irrespective of thrusting that cozy and conniving chemistry with one another but also they all are very very unlikable. I even liked the killer in Beyond evil more than these characters.
This is not just bad writing, this is boring writing. There have been dramas flawedly written yet entertaining. But this is just plain boring. They could've focused on the romance more than these failing attempts at simulating a Beyond Evil and Deluna vibe.
However, gonna stick till the end for Jin goo and whatever moment got from him and Ga young together.
So this police dude beat up the drunk dude and left him for dead and this trio of ladies gets arrested on the scene of assault with apparent instruments of assault and the police is enquiring them but where on earth is blood on the hammers and shovel? They were ambushed on the scene so they wouldn't have gotten time to wash those things and come back and pose, would they? Just finding them at the scene makes them sus! Forget police brain, where's common sense?
Stupid thought but isnt it instinct to open and see whats inside a refrigerator before moving it anywhere else…
LOL! Not stupid at all. Even guests at our house sometimes just casually stroll to our fridge and open the door. And I am Like , duuude! what if there was dead body!!!
The ending is 🤬 Not even talking about the father giving away Min to Day like all he did was past life. This is so lakorny, walking away scot-free for even worse crimes as if they just called each names. What i have gripe with is also very cliché lakorny, i admit but still i am mad. Like after half the drama chasing after and away by Day, she doesn't even get a confession from Day like I love u before walking into the church. What the 🤬 I get Day's reason for doing what he did but why the girl so doormat? She was like, I can't face him for what my father did to his fam huhu... then gets over it in the next 2 mins as soon as Namon tells her that Day always loved her. Girl, seriously! Like what do you take Namon's words? Status update for Day's feelings! I wish she held her guilty brooding for at least 1 episode and let Day chase her for some time. She seemed like a bit bratty in the first few episodes but then she fell for Day and lost even her human self respect. Actually she was chasing after that Phon too the same way for longer time but at least i didn't have to see it for that duration. She just falls in love and then keeps falling losing herself in the process. Nothing new for lakorns. I have seen so much worse like Thanat's irresistible. it was intolerable in spite of him and the lovely Aom.
What makes this drama different from cliche lakorns is it could easily have been another revenge story where the praek tortures nagek for what his family suffered because of her dad but it was not. He loved her in spite of that and what he did to her was not out of spite. He forgave the father from beginning to end (🤢) because of his love for her and because it's a lakorn. They even inserted a joke about the revenge trope in the end 😂😂
Now that I have let out all my huff and puff, in other things: ✔ Loved the leads' chemistry. Wished it had more screentime! ✔ I am watching Violette for the first time and at first she seemed like a pretty but bland acting with no expression in face or voice kind but she grew on me slowly. She's cute and I liked her. And it prolly will be an unpopular opinion but she's a better kisser than Thanat. One of the better kissing lakorn actresses. ✔Does the Phon dude look a distant cousin of Kim Young Kwang or just me 🤔 ✔ Thanat after his 3 year later makeover gives an impression of Lee Jong Suk with the suits, slick back hair and cute pout.
Could've rewatched if not for that damn stupid unsatisfying ending. They even played a funny light tune before entering into the church!!!!!
In Lakorn World: Boy - U broke my entitled bro's heart and i am gonna revenge his maybe attempted suicide by sleeping with ya and leaving the nxt morn. Girl -- I am ruined for life huhu
In some other world: Boy -- Same. Girl -- Well hope at least u had a good time cos i did. So it's a win-win (?) p.s. booyah

p.s. I edited it. Sorry again.
