Well, it's done and was pretty good! It was not without its flaws and inconsistencies but it was entertaining and enjoyable for me. They could've done without killing the kid though.
My favorite throughout was the OTP's chemistry and relationship (wishing for another YY-Lusi drama soon). I was waiting for a long time for Lusi to get a strong role, which was not Killing of 3000 crows. But this was almost it. It was a bit inconsistent in terms of what they were telling about her abilities and what they were showing but I'll let it go. This will be one of my favorite Lusi characters to date. YY was so good too. All the actors were actually really good. I enjoyed a cdrama after a long time.
Poor my Feng Xu Yan/Bai Feng Xi! First her family got a total 20 mins of screen-time coz not as interesting and toxic as Lanxi's fam, then got offed completely.
Wow! now I have another character to hate, that stupid, annoying, chit, Lang Hua! Why am I not able to hate any of the actual villains here, like Feng Ju, Wu Yuan or the Queen ๐ค Prolly coz they are villains and are expected to do villainous stuff ๐
I am getting so worked up about this king character. Can't there be an insurgence lead by Lan Xi and the old btard be put in a rat infested dungeon for life. At least!
I was really worried that they would turn the bad ass Qi Wu into just another backstabbing bad b from jealousy towards Lanxi-BFX romance (typical trope) but instead seeing Lanxi almost jealous of BFX-QW sismance is just ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐ฏ
