A SWAT officer falls in love with the surgeon he once saved. Will she love him in return?

Super short review but I just wanted to share my opinion on this unexpectedly delightful drama.

I definitely recommend this series if you’re wanting action in the workplace without any drama trauma from the romance department. Though these Leads have a bit of a rough start, they work through it all before it’s even halfway over & from then on they’re together & totally solid. Nothing comes between them & no one is able to tear them apart because they fully & completely trust one another. They’re loyal, devoted, & steady.

They both face trials at work due to the nature of their jobs. Their careers force them to make hard choices. They face danger & intense situations regularly. And they do it all by choice out of a sense of duty to help the citizens of their country. They’re both admirable individuals for their courage to do the hard things. And I love how they’re both there to support one another in every thing they face, from the big things to the little seemingly inconsequential stuff.

Watching this SWAT officer and doctor fall in love & develop an unbreakable bond is so worth seeing. Their innocent & pure love made me swoon & happy sigh. 💕

My Kind of Enemies to Lovers

This is what fans of the enemies-to-lovers trope want! Rivals who’re intent on k!lling each other turning into allies who go all out to protect one another.

When this fierce prince & fiery archer join hands to unveil the truth to bring down the baddies, their tension & chemistry is a pure delight for us viewers! 🔥🫠🫶🏻

The plot & pacing worked very well, imho. I was sucked into the story & surprised by how quickly I went through the episodes. Kudos to the writers & all involved in bringing this script to life. 👏🏻

This is action packed with lots of well-done fight scenes. There’s palace plots & familial drama; loyal subjects & greedy rebels. There’s true friendships & deep betrayals; righteous victors & bitter losers. Heroes & villains, characters we love & those we love to hate. There’s so much happening & I was totally hooked while it unraveled.

The best part is the love between the Leads. I adored how quickly their bond developed & how fully devoted they became. They never faltered in their affections - never played childish games or questioned the other’s heart. They trusted each other 100% which showed in their every glance & interaction. No annoying love rivals, misunderstandings, lame breakups, etc. Just absolutely pure love between two people capable & willing to take down any threat that rises against them. (I LOVED every time the FL’s arrow protected the ML💘 And every time he was there to catch her [iykyk] 💞)

I heard some other viewers commenting on how equal this couple was & it made me laugh. What did they mean? It’s how they stayed on equal footing by making sure they both experienced the same things (intentionally done by the writers, obviously.) Examples include but are not limited to:
- She shot him with an arrow so he later pierced her with a sword in the same spot
- He tied her up & beat her so she strung him up & returned the beating
- She bit him after her torture so he bit her after his
- She lost her memory in the beginning so he lost his later on

It doesn’t just apply to their enemy era, though. They stayed that way as lovers too!:
- He helped her regain her memory so she made sure he regained his
- He saved her from experiencing a fiery death so she rescued him after being buried alive
- He protected her first so she was determined to always have his back
- She trusted him at her weakest so he trusted her at his
- He loved her with an intense passion so she loved him with utter devotion
- He was willing to burn the world for her so she would set it ablaze for him

Seriously, I adore them. They’re so perfectly matched, both on the battlefield & in their home. They’re both wise & strong individuals who use their gifts for good. They never try to undermine each other’s authority nor do they belittle one another’s talents. They’re an extremely mature & healthy couple who I enjoy watching again & again.

Also, the secondary characters really add to the plot rather than just feeling like fillers. The baddies are truly wicked with their selfish schemes & endless plots. The fellow soldiers are admirable with their loyalty to the Leads. The ML’s siblings are flawed but ultimately loving (surprised the brother didn’t ever turn against him & glad the sister got her redemption arc). The FL’s crew are complicated & interesting.

So in conclusion - my recommendation? Watch this!

Absolute Perfection!

A “night courier” with a hidden identity + a tabloid journalist who’s fascinated by him.

*Big sigh* … this couple. I heart them so much! 🫶🏻

The FL is so adorable & real. Her personality makes her a total anomaly to the ML but he can’t help being intrigued by her. She has such a passion for life & desire for justice. Her carefree attitude masks deep trauma, but her determination to not be ruled by the fear keeps her facing each new day with an admirable courage. Being raised by an amazing adoptive father & his merry band of reformed thugs gave her quite the unique childhood which shaped her into the quirky, feisty woman she is.

The ML is so protective & cute. The way he swaps from his dorky-clueless-cover-story self & his true take-charge-while-kicking-butt self is perfect! Raised by an honorary uncle in unconventional ways formed him into the cynical yet humorous man he became. His career keeps him from letting anyone close but that’s fine - he’s just biding his time as he saves enough money to buy a private island & retire.

Them together is pure awesome sauce. Their chemistry is legit 🔥 & their love so beautiful it makes us all jelly. 🫠 Despite all the mess & mysteries surrounding them, they never bend or let go of one another. They’re total couple goals with all the feels.

I loved the ways the ML handled learning how vi0lence triggers the FL & how he always worked to protect her from being exposed to it. And I loved how the FL refused to let him push her away when tragedy struck his world again. I loved their determination to get justice for their parents once they learned the truth of their shared childhood history. I loved the bond they both formed with the SML upon learning who he was to them. I loved all their interactions on their fall into love. I swooned for them so hard! And I laughed a ton because their crazy antics made them a hilarious duo at times 😂

A must watch for all kdrama fans! And that OST? Yessss!!!

Forever Remaining One of My Favs!

I love everything about this.
- The bond & friendship formed between the main trio.
- The non-toxic love the SML has for the FL (best kind of SML, imho) & how it doesn’t come between the men’s friendship.
- The dreaming of each other aspect.
- The trust & loyalty they all have for each other.
- The cases they face & how they band together to do what’s right.
- And, of course, the beautiful love between the Leads. 🫠

They’re so fun & smile inducing. Heartwarming & soul healing. They have wonderful chemistry that never fades or dulls due to life’s craziness. I love how protective they always are of each other & how their shared history is interwoven & unraveled throughout the episodes.

This show has all the feels. I laughed. I worried. I cheered. And I swooned. It’s a comfort drama that I return to time & time again 🫶🏻

Good grief, these Leads personify cuteness overload!

For real though, the ML is so freakin’ adorable I just want to squish him. I adore watching him fall for the FL & the way he wins her heart. He’s so sincere & protective, which is so sweet since he’s fully aware of her insane strength. I just love how he really sees her, the real her, & does whatever he can to help her chase her dreams & reach her goals. He’s always encouraging & complimenting her, always on her side.

And the FL - I love her snark & confidence. She’s so funny when she acts weak for the SML while totally dominating the ML. Her duality cracks me up! I love how she keeps the ML on his toes. Then when she falls for him it’s just game over - that girl is gone for him!

Their chemistry is palpable & totes makes the viewers jelly. Love all their cute moments, their intense moments, their scary moments, & their victorious moments. They shine so bright when they’re together & they had me rooting for them from their very first interaction. 🫠

An Absolute Gem!

Our Whale Couple = Perfection 🫠🫠

This is amazing! LOL funny, inspiring, & so emotional. There’s real depth to the script. And the Extra-Ordinary Woo Young Woo adds so much heart to it all. 💕

Park Eun Bin absolutely slayed this role. Her portrayal of the FL, a woman with Asperger’s syndrome, was phenomenal & I need to write a review just for her ‘cause total girl crush happening here!! 🫶🏻

The FL is precious. This shows what it can be like to live with the label “disabled” & how the world tries to tuck you away for it. But disabled doesn’t mean use/worthless, which Woo over & over. She’s a hilarious, innocent, genius, adorable, quirky addition to the law firm & her presence shakes everything up. Her constant referral to whales is so cute! 😆

The ML is pure green. 💚 He’s such a kind person. Genuinely good to his core. His immediate help with & care for the FL is aces. He never looks down on her or treats her as incompetent. He accepts her exactly as she is while doing all he can to help her adjust & flourish in the new things she’s encountering. Their interactions kept making me smile & happy sigh. His love for her is absolutely precious & you can’t help but love him.

IMHO, this is a must-watch. The plot & pacing are great. The cast did perfect in their roles & keeping us invested. Their leader is the best boss! Loved the friendships between Woo & the other females. Highly recommend! 💜

Intense Battles + Addictive Romance

Aside from the narcissistic, delulu, toxic SML, I loved this drama! These Leads are the type I enjoy watching. I liked all their humorous interactions & quickly became addicted to their sweet moments. I LOVE that the ML quickly learned FL’s gender & how sneakily helped protect her secret. And I’m really glad that the angst didn’t last long after her biggest secret was revealed. I appreciate that he investigated & dug for the truth rather than just 100% convicting her - he’s a green flag 💚

And their love… ohhhh, their love! This has some of the best confession scenes I’ve seen in a drama - so.good!!! IYKYK 🌝 I adore all their flirtatious & affectionate moments. And I cheered so hard for FL when she put that id¡ot SML in his place for the breakup - go, girl!! The way she didn’t hold a grudge when ML came back to her was aces - he apologized, she forgave, the end. So beautiful!!

If you like historical dramas with action, suspense, & sweet romance then I recommend giving this story a watch 🫶🏻

Exactly the Kind of Drama I Love to Watch!

A young woman sets out to unveil the truth after witnessing her parents’ murder. After concealing her identity, she meets a young prince who is on his own quest for justice. With her amazing medical/forensic skills paired with the power behind his title (& his own excellent skills), this duo tackles some of the hardest cases while working to vindicate their loved ones.

I LOVE this drama. The plot & pacing were well done, the scenery & costumes are beautiful, the script & cast are engaging. It has a heavy focus on the cases (as it should!) but never feels too convoluted to follow. It has darker elements due to all the deaths they’re investigating, but there’s a good amount of humor to balance it out.

And there’s an abundance of love. Within the blood & found families, amongst the friendships formed, between the “servants” & “masters”. And, of course, there’s the mesmerizing love of our Leads.

They made such a dynamic duo. Both extremely intelligent & honorable, kind-hearted & humble, courageous & loyal. They had such a healthy relationship, 100% supportive & completely devoted. They didn’t give our hearts any stress or make us fear they’d let one another go. They bravely took on any foes & protected their love against any attacks. I truly wish writers would give us more healthy love stories like this!!

IMHO, this is a must-see for fans of historical dramas, the crime & mystery genre, &/or romance lovers. This is one I rewatch again & again! 🫶🏻

This is an incredibly well-done drama.

The storyline. ✅
The pacing. ✔️
The characters. ☑️

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. It kept my attention so easily I found myself quickly watching episode after episode to find out how their story would end.

The emotions. 👍🏻
The revenge. 🙌🏻
The love. 🫶🏻

The Leads were phenomenal in their roles. Their strengths & vulnerabilities; their highs & lows; their cleverness & brokenness - they both did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life & making the viewers feel invested in their story.

The multiple side characters were precious as well with their loyalty & devotion to the Leads. 💕

The villains were so very easy to hate! 😡

I highly recommend this drama for fans of the genre!

After receiving a terminal diagnosis, the FL flees to a small town where she meets a flower farmer & his dad, who was her mom’s first love. Her arrival is the start of big changes in all their lives…

This is such a good show! It’ll make you feel so many emotions as it takes you on the journey of these two couples. And while I was definitely more invested in the younger duo’s story (they were so mature & drama free despite the drama of others around them), the older couple was worth rooting for too. 💞

This isn’t just about falling in love, though. It’s about self care, family ties, community bonds, & true friendship. There’s so much depth packed into these 12 episodes that you can’t help but feel for the characters & all they’re going through.

I really appreciated the importance placed on the roles of mother’s: the need for them, the power of their presence, & the devastation of their absence.

If you’re look for a heartwarming story with a happy ending, I recommend this.

Such a Gem

How to describe this show?

Wholesome.
Endearing.
Heartwarming.
Inspiring.
Calming.
Therapeutic.
Beautiful.

This is one of the most angst-free law dramas I’ve ever watched (of all nationalities!) The cases are important & the lawyers take them seriously, but their maturity & sincerity keeps them from becoming huge, dramatic fights. And with each case they handle, they grow as individuals in both their personal & professional lives.

The cast did a fantastic job bringing this group of 5 to life. Kudos to each actor who brought their talents to our screens. They all had such great chemistry. And the main 5 are what squad goals are made of! Loved how there wasn’t any backstabbing or jealousy. Rather, they were each other’s greatest source of comfort & help. Their bond is so precious! And the couples were wonderful too. 🫶🏻 I adored the scenes of the main leads in all their relationship stages, as well as the adorableness of the secondary couple. True love looks good on them!!

Highly recommend this to all drama fans!!

PS: the secondary couple’s love is just as precious as the Leads’. The whole pregnancy plot line & how the hubby handled it? OhEmGee - swooooon! 🫠

Love Blooms in Perilous Times

Navigating a web of secrets & uncovering hidden truths, the FL’s return to China isn’t easy in this period drama. The journey becomes more perilous when she witnessed the ML committing a crime. Will the remain foes or become allies in the dangerous days ahead?

Honestly, outside of the Leads’ relationship development & interactions, nothing much grabbed my attention with this story. I didn’t like the SML’s constant interference nor the SFL’s delusions; I didn’t enjoy how many good characters d¡ed; I didn’t get sucked into the plot twists. I think I was in the wrong mood for this type of story because the cast all did really good in their roles so I’m pretty sure the problem was with me 😂

The Leads were really great together, though. Both strong individuals who were willing to do the hard things for the good of their country. Their bond was unbreakable, their trust was unwavering, & their love unending. Definitely a power couple of their era 💕

Seriously, just get through the first 10eps of the FL working through her crush on the man-child SML (mad props to the actor for making the fandom despise him!) because her finally noticing the ML’s awesomeness is completely worth it, trust me! From then on the show becomes addictive & their every interaction fuels the obsession!!

This is such a healthy, mature, & healing drama. Honestly, I didn’t care for any of the business aspects outside of the sweet interactions between characters, but everything else? That’s my jam!
- workplace free of competition or jealousy? ✔️
- loving, supportive, loyal families who like each other? ✔️
- strong Leads with self-respect & great character growth? ✔️
- “baddies” only playing minor roles with not much screen time? ✔️

A Healthy, Youthful Love

An Olympic pistol shooter + the trainee reporter assigned to his team.

The ML is so singularly focused on his goals that he comes across as cold & dismissive to those outside his close friends. So when he meets the FL, he can’t understand why he’s so unsettled by her. Why does this girl affect his concentration so much? He doesn’t know who she is… or does he?

The FL is determined to her tasks well for her new job, proving her worth & talents to her boss. When she goes out on assignment & encounters the ML, she’s shocked to see the boy she’s always loved. But why does he seem like he has no idea who she is?

When circumstances & responsibilities cause them to interact more, will they find the answers to the questions they’re both asking? As their relationships shifts & a bond is formed, the mystery of their shared history starts to be revealed. Will their love be strong enough to weather the storm when the truth is made known? Will they be able to heal from the mental trauma they’ve both been living with?

I’ll tell you truly that I love this show. I thoroughly enjoyed each episode as the Leads’ relationship progressed from distant & suspicious of one another to tentative friends/roommates. Their journey from there is so pure & sweet to watch!

They’re both strong, independent individuals. They’re focused on reaching their personal goals & neither is afraid of the hard work it requires. I love when a couple is on equal footing, meaning they both bring something to the relationship rather than only being “takers”. This duo is a great example - they each have their strengths that they lend to one another when the other is feeling weak. They encourage & help each other in everything, 100% supporting & believing in their partner’s dreams.

I enjoyed their personalities, too, & how their differences were highlighted. Neither was better or worse, they were simply different. Again, they each had their strengths so neither Lead outshone the other. Rather, they used their strengths & talents to help each other just shine that much brighter, which is how a healthy couple should be! Whether in public or just at home together, they were each other’s safe place & closest confidant. I love that! They’re both so deeply protective of one another, too, that their first reaction is always to shield the other. No icky person or wicked scheme will succeed because these two are simply too solid to be taken out by “villains”.

This is a really calm & easy watch that I often return to when I want a sweet love story without any typical drama-trauma tropes - no drawn out misunderstandings or messy breakups, no evil family members or wanna-be love rivals, & no need for big brain power to solve anything. This show allows me to just simply relax & enjoy as the Leads fall in love…
