So, while I agree his rage was earned, I still think a slightly better-written exchange could have achieved the same drama without the plot hole of the misunderstanding being immediately resolved by violence.
However, I have to point out that one particular moment in Episode 6 i.e The fight scene between the ML, Jin Zhao, and the guy who was helping the drunk FL (I think his name was Lin Sui something?) felt incredibly unnecessary and a bit jarring. Instead of immediately throwing punches after seeing the FL passed out, I really think Jin Zhao's first reaction should have been to ask, "What happened to her?" His action felt so rushed and irrational in that specific context, leading to a completely avoidable misunderstanding and fight. It was a classic 'misunderstanding' trope, but it felt overly dramatic when a simple question could have diffused the situation instantly.
This is a minor point, though! Other than this small moment of plot frustration, the drama has been 10/10 for me up until now.
It’s disheartening to deal with targeted downvotes, but feedback like yours is exactly what makes the effort worthwhile :)) I'm glad my review resonated with you. I will certainly keep posting honest reviews in the future!
To clarify, I initially posted a preliminary impression on November 22nd, based on the first four episodes, and I specifically stated in that initial review that I would update it with a full review after the drama concluded. My current review is the completed, comprehensive review, updated once all episodes had aired.
As for the accusation of bias: I completely stand by the sincerity of my review and my rating of 8.5. If I were truly a 'crazy fan or biased towards the drama' trying to inflate the score for my favorite actors, I would have easily given it a perfect 10 or 9.5. My rating of 8.5 reflects a genuine, honest assessment of what i felt while watching the drama and its strengths and flaws.
My goal is always to provide a fair and honest perspective, not to hype a show unfairly. I hope this clarifies the timeline and the integrity of my rating.
In response to simply expressing this opinion, my review started being targeted with a wave of downvotes since yesterday. It’s truly disappointing to see that instead of engaging in a respectful discussion about the drama's merits, certain individuals have resorted to this kind of despicable, targeted behavior to boost their ego and silence dissenting voices.
Frankly, I don't know why my honest opinion has offended you so deeply, but let me be absolutely clear: I stand by what I said. This drama deserves a much higher rating, and the attempt to silence reviewers who believe this only proves how insecure the opposition is regarding the drama's actual quality.
Downvote my review all you want. I will continue to speak my truth about the quality of this drama. You can get more angry.
