horror isn't really my thing, but i do hate hate how people judge or think they know based on nothing more than your preferred genre. people like things for a lot of different reasons. great article :) loved it
after the village burned things got political and real. there wasn't really that much comedy.
you stopped at 9!? i see. i think it's okay to spoil things for you the emperor and nokdu's relationship is farther explained though the second part. we only get to understand yool mu in the final episode(he reveals that the same prophecy was his and his father's motive to live this way so one day they take the throne). there's a lot of scheming from ep 9 onward but to each their goal. the king has this single tear regret scene at the end when he knows all the choices he made in life are wrong and he calls the throne and power a curse that consumed him and will continue to feed on yool mu.

you mean when dramas try to have a lot genres but lose the balance!? can you tell me how in this one? as i remember, the two main characters were mostly focused on human affection and connection. the fl had a goal that she disregarded when faced with reality. the ml always cared about humans and emotions first (when he went after the assassin it was for his family, when he knew of hid biological father he only cared for the parental relationship not the power and money and when he saw there was no hope of a relationship he left.)his choices seemed true to the core of his personality to me, she went a bit back and forth.
good things must be shared. you always flatter me like that. you're amazing.
there was this article about how people define strong females and they raised some important points i've been thinking about. like some see if she cries this some how disqualifies her, but for me even if she seems weak sometimes and cries, as long as she gets up and tries then she's strong.

i hope you like them even though they aren't your thing. trying something out of our favorite genre is always hard. even though people tend to define strong females differently, spiteful and vengeful aren't my thing at all, and i appreciate when dramas show different kinds of strong women. it's my absolute favorite tag.

coming from you this means a lot. also i tried to hold my fangirling spirit and make this somewhat impartial, i was afraid it turned a bit too serious. honestly, i think it's popular with that age for the way JDY cross dressed in class and respect which is rare, if not new. also, the strength these women showed is empowering.
Love this article! Honestly this drama became one of my most favourite dramas and it's defienietly the best historical…
oh you could tell!? i was trying so hard to hide it. hahahahahaha. oh well busted it's my first time with JDY so i took a deep dive trying to get to know him and i was surprised by how was he discovered. he's very unique and with a modest real personality and it all showed in his work. i hope isee more of him. though i am devastated that he cut his hair.
If you do, be aware that the tone of the second half is VERY different. It's effectively a different Drama. No…
sorry i didn't mean your comment is the spoiler. that reply is to burhaaddmi, idk why they're not mentioned. also, there's a head assassin and a head of the gisaeng house, the head assassin survives and is super cool and happy at the end. there's even a hint of a future love line for her. sorry if i now spoiled it all for you.
