I started this because I want to watch Jessi and Yoo Jaesuk's bickering because they are hilarious, and YES, the whole casts are funny. The effort of the crew to make it very real also gives me a goosebumps.
It was the episode when SA's colleagues discussed about the emergence of the pianist who won the chopin competition…
SA's prof had her assistant left to study abroad - > another prof said to her that she should get another assistant that is smart and good at work - > SA's prof met the team leader, and team leader mentioned about SA being smart and good at work which are the qualities she needs for an assistant. My guess is all SA's prof wants is a good assistant, she doesn't care about SA's passion on violin. So she asked SA to go to graduate school and help her works.
Any opinions on this drama? I can’t even finish the first episode for some reason. The acting, music, and plot…
I might be bias because I love Park Eunbin very much. But I do think episode 1 and 2 is a little bit slow because it introduced all characters, and many flashbacks. However from episode 3, the story is much more exciting and chemistry between the leads are very enjoyable to see.

Yes, that scene! I didn't even think that he had to compete again and the reason for that is very logical. He couldn't get money anywhere except performing, couldn't borrow money bcs he's basically a freelancer, and he knew the bigger truth that JK family helped his family a lot behind his back. And when Song Ah got offered to get into graduate school, I sense another dream vs reality problem coming. Her prof doesn't seem to have a genuine purpose with her offer. Idk.
I didn't expect at first that the seemingly light discussion about JY going to Tchaikovsky competition will become the reality. In preview for episode 7, he asked the prof to guide him to that competition. This drama should be re-watched again once it finished to get the larger picture.
Well said! I do agree w/ you about the director (and even JK) know about his feeling to JK. But he couldn't be…
That's right. JY didn't know at first, but eventually knew it and he, as an extreme selfless kid, chose to keep receiving scholarship and playing piano. It must be the most selfish thing he had done, and to ease his mind a bit, he asked JK to be his friend (it's stated in his narration). Knowing his story is really heartbreaking.

Aah, it might be not appeared yet in drama, but in their character introduction, it was said that JK's mother died in an accident in USA and her family got a compensation money (for the accident), and from that money they established the foundation and first scholarship to JY. Also, that's when JK has to come back to Korea. JY can't lie and take care of his expression hahaha. Just like his professor said.
I just rewatched episode 2 last evening, there were flashback and thoughts that suggests their behavior especially…
Well said! I do agree w/ you about the director (and even JK) know about his feeling to JK. But he couldn't be brave to tell it.
JK's mom died in an accident, and her compensation money was the one that helped JY to continue playing piano, so he felt both indebted and guilty at the same time.
And JK may also felt jealous of him also because she was once in the same world with JY, but now JY has been known as genius and she isn't anymore. And yes, to check whether she was still important for him or not, so she kissed him.
I'm not expecting for jy to right away accept song-ah's feeling because he still needs to sort out all the problems in his hands. It is really a slow-burn romance. Actually quite satisfied w/ the tension here and there, also not-too-over misunderstanding.
I feel like the synopsis needs an upgrade, they are not really "students at a prestigious music school" anymore…
They are right about students, because Song ah is doing internship in summer break and need to graduate from uni after this. Joonyoung is also a pianist who hasn't finished his study and came back to finish his last semester. But you're right, up till now the story is taken place while she's working.
