Okay, I know nothing how Korean monarchy worked, but why can't Lee Hwi just kill her grandfather? What's stopping…
Because her grandpa has more supporters in the palace, than Hwi. So, it's actually easy to replace the King, if ever the King didn't agree to be his puppet.
Did i miss something? jusetching ep8 preview got me little confuse. Does Jung Ji Woon, already knows that the…
So far I think Jiun likes CP as a person. He hasn't explicitly questioned CP's gender and his orientation. Maybe he really kissed her without thinking about the gender.
1) The King is Hwi's father and the Queen right now was the concubine (not Hwi's mother). The pair has one son…
Yes. Hwi's paternal grandpa is the former King. It's not shown when he died, but the fact that Hwi's father became the King is already the hint. In Joseon, only when the current King has died that his son will be the King (unless there's a coup d'etat).
Ep 7 !! I’m confused does queen Dowager want power for herself? Does she not want Prince lee hwi to be the King?…
I feel like the Queen Dowager is still in a neutral position, but she did want Lord Sangheon (Hwi's maternal grandpa) to also support the King and focused on helping the King first. I think she is kinda worried that someday Lord Sangheon will bring down the King and make Hwi as the new King (but the puppet king for Lord Sangheon), and the palace will be in chaos.
Can someone tell me what is the designation of lee hwi's paternal grandmother, grandfather and his dad?? Who's…
1) The King is Hwi's father and the Queen right now was the concubine (not Hwi's mother). The pair has one son (Prince younger than Hwi). The Queen is an enemy to Hwi since she wants her son to be the Crown Prince instead. 2) Lee Hwi's paternal grandmother is the Queen Dowager (the widow of the former King). The former King was very close to Lord Sangheon. While the Queen Dowager, until now, is still in neutral position. 3) Lee Hwi's maternal grandpa is Lord Sangheon, or the Left State Councilor. He is below the King in rank, but he has the most power since he gets most of the support from high rank officials.
i'm so confused on how lee hwi's grandfather is ranked lower than her father?? ik it may be a dumb question but…
Lord Sangheon (or Seongheon?) isn't a royal bcs he is maternal grandpa of Hwi, so he is still lower in rank but as you can see, he has so much power. I believe this is bcs he helped the former King (Hwi's paternal grandpa) to get supports from ministers, and so does to the King right now.
Her being petite and feminine is the sole reason her enemies are having doubts and it is the part of the story.…
Yes, thank you for explaining about this. The petite feminine and woman-like crown prince is part of the story (the original story as well). So it's not a miscast or something, they intentionally have a petite crown prince.
Did the actress for the mother drop out halfway through filming? Her death was like out of nowhere, literally…
No, it's supposed to be like that in the original story (re: the death). It looks like a sudden death for non-manhwa reader, bc maybe they assumed the audience has known it from the manhwa?
Well we all have our preferences! I have watched similar themed series and movies too, but I really liked this…
You can say I love Death Games genre. Everyone has preferences, some loves a realistic approach, some don't (in this genre). I think we can't help but to compare similar works, put one in higher value and other in lower value. I agree on SG is superior in many aspects!
Edited: If you think the couple was stupid doing it inside the palace, yes, they were. And that's how the plot will move forward.
