I watched Jdramas exclusively for years until I tried a Cdrama some months ago, been hooked on them ever since... Wu Lei has a lot to do with it ngl 🤣

I know what you mean... watching SOKP rn and I really have to use all my willpower not to rewatch my fav AASOL parts. I was watching and rewatching these two at the same time and it was actually ruining SOKP for me... the chemistry between WL and ZJM is unreal, other leads can't compare to them... :/ this is a real problem lol. had to go cold turkey on AASOL 😂

Xie Wei is great, except for his very dramatic murder hobo tendencies on snowy days. I know it's for plot related reasons but wish they went about it in a less dramatised and more gritty way... for example if they did it a bit more like LLTG's LBY it would've been better imo... but this whole drama so far is dramatic so I guess it fits. 😆

yea I think prob a lot of ppl had the same feelings. I'm not a big fan of open endings either, but I liked this one a lot because I expected them to end up together, but much to my surprise they remained friends instead. I loved their bond and the message about acceptance/letting go. I agree, I wanted to see more of them (actually interacting!) after the time skip too... I know it's not likely to happen, but a sequel would be so nice~ with some real screen time for Ming 😆

not only is it first love for him, it's also love at first sight, add to that the fact that he is very careful with his words because of what happened in the past... this is what you get lol. she has trouble communicating with him in their getting to know each other stage because he doesn't talk much. her reaction the night they met was great. I loved that she remained cautious, but opened up the more she saw his sincerity and thoughtfulness. remember, she was also attracted to him for his looks in the beginning and it even became a running joke. it's not in her character to be as direct as him, but the current of chemistry between them was undeniable. sure he was chasing her aggressively but she was definitely interested.

omg yes I loved his relationship with An Cong. An Cong is such a great character, one of my favs in that drama. I agree, Tomb of the Sea is another good rec, esp if you are into tomb raiding adventures/ indiana jones kinda vibes. WL is a bit younger there and plays a teen who gets in way over his head. Li Cu is not one of my fav roles of his, but the show is definitely entertaining
