so far so good. Most of it follows the Korean version of the original drama. There are of course some changes to the storyline and setting. But it has most of the same feelings to it. May be better possibly (depends on the person watching it though). As I did watch the Korean version a while back. So, up to you if you like to watch it or not. Can't let others decide for you if you want to watch the drama or not.
Well another masterpiece drama that finished today. Yesterday was Who Rules the World (Historical drama) - that also ended very well too (another drama that I was watching at the same time). Both of these dramas are masterpieces of their own right. Each drama has their own lessons to be learnt from. I give this drama a 10/10 too! Well done everyone - esp the cast members of this drama!! *standing ovation for you all! you all deserve it!*
Today's drama ending quote was perfect to wrap up everything - as well as being inspiring at the same time too: "For the people who are chasing their dreams. Your dreams will shine one day!" Meaning don't give up on your dreams that you've first set for yourself -- for those who continue to stand strong & firm with it - will be fulfilled one day -- and that day will come whenever it may be. As well, the drama reminds us that we must stay true to ourselves and not cheat our way through life - if we've done wrong - we got to own up to it. Admit our mistakes and be willing to change for the better. Not to be selfish and be willing to help others when in need. No need for bashing, hating, being envious of anyone or any matter for the sake of being "almighty" to anyone. You need to be true to yourself and others too. If you have become successful -- are you really happy with it or did you hurt others along the way to get to who you think is a "succesful person"?
I'm so glad that this drama is more realistic & relatable drama than most. It's mature and like I said in the above -- everything that I wrote here -- is what I've gotten out of the drama from beginning to end. Yes, life isn't easy, but don't lose hope. "Your dreams will shine one day!"

Can't believe it already finished! Love the whole drama - from beginning to end! It was super engaging from start to finish - so many twist & turns. Although the ending may be rushed -- and we all wished there'd be more to it...but what can we say - it ended on a nice note. I hope one day there'd be a season 2 of this drama too. Who knows? All I know is that I'll miss this drama a lot and well done everyone! Esp Yang Yang & Zhao Lusi!! To me, it was definitely worthwhile to watch! Love it a lot! To me I'll give it 10/10!!
I don't know what happened to my post -after I finished watching it a day or two ago. Anyways, I like to say this is by far one of the best Kdrama of 2022 that I've watched ever since I've stopped watch kdramas back in 2020 - and that was the King: Eternal Monarch. Anyhow - I like how this drama contain magic & musical in the mix. It was perfect and all the cast members did well! I'm so glad that I give this drama a try - since it was suggested by the actor himself on his official instagram account and he was one of my fave Korean actors in the past. Nonetheless it was definitely worth watching - a breath of fresh air and an interesting take on both magic vs reality in one drama - let alone only in 6 episodes! Loved every moment of it. Thankfully this drama contain a lot of beautiful songs in them and I really like how each person sang the songs in it. I'm also grateful that this drama wrapped up nicely -- it coud've been more - cause the ending did leave it as an open-ended drama ending...and makes you want to have another season of it again! Which I hope will happen in the future one day maybe. Otherwise, I'm still OK with this ending too. Beautifully done and it definitely made me feel "uplifted" and teaches me to not give up on my dreams - the ones that we've always wanted to have too.
Since it's short -- whenever I have time - I would like to rewatch it again and I definitely recommend this drama to anyone who wants to try something new. Enjoy!
I think this is the first Korean drama in ages that I have last seen - I haven't watch a Korean drama in ages b/c to me -- a lot of recent ones are definitely not my cup of tea. I think the last Korean drama that I watched before this one - was "The King - Eternal Monarch" which aired in 2020 - another Netflix drama that I've enjoy. Don't get me wrong. I have watch quite a few Kdramas - but over then past 1.5 years I moved on from watching them b/c of the "violent" storylines it contains - always deplicting girls/women/man pulling each others hairs/bullying others physically and harshly, etc. So, I decided to watch Cdramas instead - more related to sports/e-gaming than anything else.
So, when heard about this via Ji Chang Wook's official Instagram account (as he's one of the Korean actors that I enjoy watching and support) - I decided to give it a go and watched it in 2 days and as a result -- I really enjoyed it a lot. Definitely worth watching. Totally a different take on any typical Kdramas that I've seen in the past. I really love the musical part of this drama and of course the magic it brings with it all. All the actors/actresses did their acting very well too. Plus I really love this storyline in terms of explaining how life can be handle - b/w magic vs. realism of life. Although the ending was a bit of an open-ended one -- it did in some ways wrapped up a few loose ends to some of the characters in the story...but there are a few unanswered ones - which leads to the topic of "magic" lingering in one's viewers mindset. Overall, I loved this from beginning to end - it was action packed/compelling/enjoyable/fun/mesmerizing to watch. It's not your normal everyday kinda of drama - which is why I enjoyed it as much as many of you did. Rewatch value - definitely willing to rewatch it again soon b/w dramas that I am following in the Cdrama world - b/c this drama I'd say it's a bit of a mix b/w lighthearted/fascinating/deep at the same time! If I were to rate it -- 10/10 = 100% must watch drama of the year!! Well-done everyone!
Aside from some other music-related/singing Kdramas that I've watched in the past (such as You're Beautiful/Marry Me, Mary!/Love Rain/EXO Next Door/The Liar and His Lover) I think this one is quite unique as a whole and that's why I enjoyed it so much too!
So, far -- I'm liking Ning Meng is trying to be stronger despite the fact that her ex-boss keeps on insulting her & not realizing how hurtful he is towards her. I'm also glad now that Xu Si Tian & Ceng Yu Hang are supporting Ning Meng more than their original friend/buddy - Lu Jing Ming. Plus having Su Wei Ran (Ning Meng's senior) support her too is good - plus Ning Meng's current boss Shi Ying, her best friend + best friend's boyfriend and her ex-coworker secretary are supportive too. Let's hope Ning Meng will really become a finance director and prove to her ex-boss that's she's actually better than he think she is. Waiting for that day to come soon!
