Well finally finished watching the drama today when I am not busy in my life. This drama was well worth it! Definitely recommend it to those who haven't watched it!
All 56 episodes definitely will put you through an emotional rollercoaster - but everyone acted well. NN & HBY got their happy ending. L.S. although he was injured -- in some ways he was accepted by NN's family - as part of family/close friend in the end - when L.S. came out of the tent wondering what all the commotion was all about. - Well technically the commotion was that NN & HBY were married (although not shown) - NN's parents approved of them both - and so did NN's rest of the family members too. Although, the Emperor was upset that they got married in Hou county without his presence - I'm sure deep down, he's glad that they did ended up together finally.
As for the rest - those who were on the wrong side of everything - karma got them good & their lives end up cut short - it's what happens when jeolousy/power/revenge etc gets the best of them in the end.
As for L.Y. - glad that he was able to accept his current wife as who she is and their child soon to be born.
Glad to know that the 3rd prince is a kind person willing to fight & remind HBY who he should be saving/protecting in his life. As well, glad that he was the one who saved him - when HBY fell down the cliff.
Lastly, we all know that what we really wanted to see was NN & HBY's marriage - but that was not shown in the end. Just only mentioned by words that they are now married and that's it.
Anyhow, it was definitely worth it and some of us want more to the drama. But let's face it. It's the ending that we all wanted - a happy one and it is one happy ending.
The emperor don't believe that CSS father has deflect either but so what? they have no evidence so he must upheld…
OK, I'm not saying that he's doing it the wrong way - but NN also wants to investigate the situation too, but he's stopping her from doing so.... Then again, I guess he's doing that b/c he doesn't want to be seen as some tampering with possible evidence I guess by NN.
Either way - it is a very conflicting situation that the Emperor is in. It's true like you said - that he doesn't want to be seen as someone giving favoritism & pardon her family from the possible "wrongs' her father could've done (but this is where the hunt for evidence is important)....as there are many ppl involve in this mess.
Like it or not -- in my opinion - I'm just saying that "poor NN" is constantly facing a lot of "suffering" in her life and I just wished that she can live a more "peaceful life instead of all of this palace mess".
As well...the endless revenge/hate in this drama is quite painful to watch at times. I mean -- revenge doesn't completely resolve the problems. It just brings more and more sadness/pain/anger etc in a constant loop. If I remember correctly NN never want to be involved in such a mess of "revenge" -- but if she gets pulled in by it - she will do anything to find ways to protect the ones she loves including herself too.
Hmm...just finished watching the latest episode of this drama - ep 18. DFQC finally learns the full truth of why his dad in the past did what he did to him. Eventually, DFQC accepted this ill-fate and decides to do what he wants to do. That is accept all the pain & suffering of an actual person supposed to have. He also learned to forgive his bro for his wrongdoings & accept the rest of the "lightning strike punishment" when his bro couldn't handle it anymore. He is also learning how to be a better person. Whether this would be a good thing or not -- we'll wait and see.
TBH, I hope he really changes for the better and continues to learn more from XLH. Also, I hope that the 2 will be able to be together and that XLH will not betray him either too. Otherwise this story will be another historical sad ending drama which I don't like.
This drama has so many twist and turns --> WS & DYQ gets married in the most weirdest place on earth. One of the most powerful elder is also in the mountains too.
Back down the mountain - LYS - is becoming more "sane" in making the correct decisions from his family. Fengling is really messed up and I seriously want to smack her some senses! She's the one always causing problems and when one of her favorite servants died b/c of her stupid actions - she goes and blames it on other ppl. What kind of stupidity logic is that? Anyhow she's still bent on revenge and not completely let go. If it weren't for her older brother LYS -- I think she would have gotten herself killed many times. Very pathetic girl.
LJT - ok so, he's back from the "dead" - hahaha...great -- and he's the supervisor of the 2 of them --> LYS and FengL? Errr...that's just weird. Then him still wanna pursue WS and marry her -- err um...you're useless and besides WS loves DYQ and nobody else. Good that you did ended up letting her go.
I still don't trust Master Zhou. I feel like he's Tian Long - or related to him. Cause one of his so-called disciple tries to kill FengLing as a warning to LYS. Plus him locking up Master Lao in the mountains for 20 yrs?!? What's he doing that for -- he said something about trying to "get something from her' by using DYQ - cause he said that when he put DYQ underground trap area - it was in a way to test him - make a certain decision and then also locked him up in the mountain too for his own purpose of using DYQ to get something from Master Lao. I feel that Master Zhou is not who he say he is all these times. Cause when DYQ confronts him about how the Penta-sect got the blueprints of the Kunlun Mountains - he was surprised by Master Lao's answer. Therefore, I can't trust him still.
As for those working Under LJT - I don't trust those ppl either - I think it has to do with her Ladyship - whoever she is or with Commander Hu -- either way -- they are working behind the backs of LJT and trying to do something bad.
Next issue - can both DYQ and WS leave the place in the mountain safely (escape) or not. My guess is "yes" b/c he has been measuring the distance from the ground to where he is locked up on the mountain-side by dropping rocks - to figure out the "speed of velocity and gravity", etc.
As for Ms. Cui - where she is -- at the moment is unknown. Hopefully, she'll be back in action soon.
Anyways, that's my 2-cents worth on today's episodes thus far.
I really feel so sad for NiaoNiao in the recent episode I watched - ep 42. LBY went out to trackdown the Peng dude -- in his absence - her whole family gets framed as being a defactor -- and gone to be part of the enemy side of things. Obviously for NN, she doesn't believe it at all -- and wants to find her dad and proof that her dad never did that at all. But obviously the Emperor now is stubborn - partially want to protect her b/c she's LBY fiance yet it still implicates her that the rest of her family is stuck in jail - interrogated like criminals. So sad -- I was crying while watching this episode -- the CP and the Empress stepped up to support NN to gain access to the Emperor to have a talk with him. But when they both were discussing the matter of her family's issue --- the Emperor is very stubborn in not letting her get involved in resolving the problem.
I don't know what will happen in the future b/w her and LBY -- or even her family. I just hope that her family will be able to survive this ordeal and not be killed off. NN suffered so much and continues to suffer even more now esp when LBY is away - and after reading other comments -- ppl are saying LBY will kill himself?!? What in the world? Wow, seems like this whole drama is an endless heartbreak/suffering for NN the most. I do hope this story will end well. I really hate "sad endings".
Well, well, well -- so for ep 37 & 38 - read at your own discretion
The Emperor/Empress - all seems to realize the truth about things when 5th Princess came running in to go and tried blame NN for her traps that she set up on them. In the process of trying frame/blame NN by 5th Princess for her wrongs - things let slip through her mouth about what had actually happened to NN in the past - and also what she actually did during the Empress' bday celebration. To try to make matters worst for NN -- it actually backfired on her by a lot. As she was trying to get away with "setting NN with the 5th Prince" - First person coming in with power was actually Consort Yue - helping NN to clear up the mess that was actually caused by the 5th Princess! Haha, her grand entrance & the slap on her face was so "cool" and composed... later on when the Emperor ask for more proof that NN did indeed try to due something wrong with the 5th Prince -- then LBY came walking in with the servant whom he just grilled for the full truth -- trying to get her to tell the truth to the Emperor/Empress/Consort Yue and everyone present. In the process of this all 5th prince spill out the truth of what he witness - back when NN was shoved into the water the 5th princess' servant/friends and then also where they threw in "two snakes" to go bite her. Of course in the back of LBY's mind he was super furious of what happened to his fiance NN and what she actually suffered plus didn't tell him about it at all. But then again, NN still felt a bit insecure about her feelings towards LBY - still reserved about it. yet in honest truth she knows she loves him.
LBY revenge towards those 8 girls families involved in pushing NN into the water - was not all just about that. He also punished them b/c they were the ones "took all the money" from the emperor's storage bank/from other innocent ppl too. He said so him during one of the family's punishment period at one of the gates palace/family's home (I think). Where he had 5th prince witness it as well as his side kicks-aides and Minister of Justice - Yuan Shen.
LBY - receiving the punishment - was not just to push NN to confront her love to LBY but also to lower down the guards of those he want to dig info up at the Censorate by stealing the scrolls from them. Although I still don't think it was a good idea for the Emperor to set that up with LBY -- to make NN confess her true feelings towards him (LBY), I feel that the 2 really should just sitdown and talk it over properly instead of lying to her and making her confess feelings - esp with such a difficult past background of hers and his too.
Anyways, that's my 2-cents worth of the drama thus far with these 2 recent episodes being aired.
Ok going to say it once and leave it at that. Some ppl's voices can never change - even if they grow older. So, accept this fact and stop complaining about the FL's own original voice. Another matter- who are you to judge who is good looking or not as a female??? Excuse me, that very feminist and really insulting to all females in the world. Everyone person has their own beauties and deserves respect always. Respect others just as you want others to respect you. Quick to judge -- that's the worst way ever. This is where there's such thing as being a racist, stereotyping everyone the way you want them to be! Did you know what you say can hurt a person's feeling?!? Every time I hear someone complain about anyone (actors/actresses/artists) etc -- that's call cyberbullying! This is where all those hate - eventually will lead to these famous people to commit suicide at a young age. No one in this world deserves to learn about something that someone said - just b/c it doesn't fit their criterias or expectations!
As a viewer - you should only focus on their acting skills, their compatibilty with one another to make the story flow well and come to life (from novel to real life drama). If you judge a drama just b/c of the actor's/actress' voice, looks, etc. Then sorry, you should not bother leaving a comment about it -- that's consider inappropriate, hurtful and disrespectful to the actresses/actors/artists themselves. Have you taken any acting or singing jobs? Can you really do a better job than them? If not, then don't say you know everything about how much effort/time these actors/actresses put in to it or they shouldn't be in this drama - b/c their voice sounds so babyish or kidish or whatnot. If these are the points you don't like about them - then move on from this drama - don't watch it! Leave it to those who will appreciate how much time, effort, energy they put into this whole drama - to bring the story to life! Everyone deserves respect/praises/appreciation not the opposite of these points at all.
To wrap it up - the latest 2 episodes I watched - ep 9 & 10 were awesome and sweet. Then ending of ep 10 -- now that's a major plot twist - did she do that on purpose? or did she realize that she loves him? or did she do that - in order to trick him and later betray him for it?!? Tbh, I hope it's not the latter part of my guesses. I truly hope that they will really fall in love with one another - and not use the "name of love" to get away from things through trickery...guess we'll have to wait and see. Excited for the next episodes to come -- long wait for it though.
For a quick summary of the latest 2 episodes: 28 & 29
YM, YD and TZ - these three in some ways works well -- esp when YD ended up in her original form b/c of the "evil lamp person". Sigh -- although YM and TZ fight -- there's seems to be a reason one or another to distract the "person" they are trying to solve all the mysteries happening at the palace. Funny at times when the 3 clashes with each other -- esp b/w YM and TZ over YD...who she should follow or be with. Luckily in the end YM agree to YD - to allow her to follow TZ wherever he goes reluctantly - as he knows he wants YD to be happy either way.
As for the "evil lamp person" - she's faking everything & lying about being in a certain sect. She has a lot of power to wanting to destroy YD and trying to steal TZ's powers too. I think she's up to no good and that thing she gave to TZ is a fake one - to temp TZ to her "powerful" place. I hope that TZ and YM sees through her and destroy her once for all in the end -- she's super annoying and every time I see her onscreen, I want to skip over that part of the scene and ignore her.
Too bad for Jiang Chen and Pei Luo - they both died --> JC died because PL wants to gain immortal powers and in the end framed her for something he did -- PL died b/c of his selfish greed and of course YM took back his ancient artifact that belongs to him -- that allowed PL to lived a bit longer in the mortal realm.
As for TZ wondering why YM has such strong powers he has never seen before from YM -- it's b/c YM is from an ancient fish fighting clan that the Heavenly Realm partially forgotten when they serve the Heavenly King back in the days of the historical battle b/w good and evil. YM is the son Fish Fighting Clan (?) - who was saved and he eventually regained his powers back when he and YD were in Heaven Realm before YD was framed for something she never did in her life and she jump the bridge b/c of that. TZ haven't exactly met YM back in the Heavenly Realm - hence why he doesn't exactly know who he is and what kind of power he had. I'm sure once the three travel together -- TZ will eventually learn more about YM's past (my guess) from YD may be.
Anyhow, that's my 2-cents worth of input into these last two episodes.
Huh, the automatically switched back their bodies back in ep 1. It was such a short time body switch. It doesn't last long...which means the MDL notes are incorrect. My observation thus far for this drama - from ep 1 -8: One thing for sure there's definitely a lot of humor in this drama that'll make you laugh...and there's a scene when the two main leads standing atop the Heavenly realm palace to watch the sunrise & the magical whale of the clouds flying across the skies -- kinda reminds me of the other ongoing drama - Immortal Samsara - feels like a scene that relates to Y.Y (T.Z) parents in the past. :P what coincidence!
Anyways, read at your own risk/discretion! don't blame me for what I saw/observe from this drama.
She and the main ML (Dong Fang Qing Cang) are together because of some kind of special spell that links their emotions/body together -- whenever main FL cries, get hurts, etc - he feels them all, no matter what. That's why he said those words: "Your body is mine, your blood is mine, etc" to her at one point in time (when he went to rescue her at the Haishi city from the other evil spirits). It was then he realized when they switched back to their original selves -- the special lotus flower glowing in her body that protected her when she fell into the "Haotian Tower" transferred into his body.
Hence why from then on, he has to do everything to protect her - prevent her from getting injured, sick, emotional breakdowns, etc. B/c if he doesn't, he also suffers the exact same pains/injuries/illness, etc as she does.
In the twist of fate -- when she sends him away (in order to protect him from being discovered at the "Heaven/Immortal" realm )-- he starts to have some feelings for her - even though he doesn't understand it all. But then he recalls that before he became strong -- his dad/master in the past also force him to have no emotions at all - so that he can become the most powerful one in all 3 realms.
Therefore, in the next episodes - either he gets caught while drifting away from the place or he went back to her. We'll have to wait & see.
Side note: I know some ppl may be annoy of the main FL - but that's technically her character -- she's an innocent/naive/simple-minded/caring/friendly character - she is a fairy that don't have much power/knowledge b/c when she became human by accident -- the roots of hers got damaged - leaving her with very little powers/knowledge to deal with everything. She was also looked down on by many others b/c she's considered a weak one and don't deserve to be in higher position of anything.
Another thing - b/w her and the 2nd ML -- Lord Chenghang (who likes her b/c she rescued him when he got injured 500 yrs ago) and originally praised her -- and then does the opposite - was b/c the 2nd ML - has no choice but to let her go (b/c he's already forced to have an engagement with another fairy instead by his brother the king) -- cause if he doesn't she will suffer the same consequences as the one who lied to the king about the "firefly stone being given to her by him". He knows how dangerous & bad that is -- he doesn't want to ruin the main FL's life - so that's the only way he can do to protect her from danger -- from his brother the king. By faking his feelings for the main FL as being nothing but just a lowly elf - in front of his brother - was the only way to secure her safety. But obviously the main FL doesn't realize this actual truth - also saw and heard the lies he said in front of brother the king and then him leave after saying those hurtful words with tears in his eyes about her. Yet it seems that the main FL didn't catch that part of him. Therefore, their relationship with one another will be full of misunderstandings.
As for Lord Rong Hao - seems like he's not the good Lord anymore - but turned evil one - in front of all he pretends to be the nice/caring person - but in actual fact he's a 2-faced evil person. Definitely cannot be trusted. I think he became like this - is b/c of the 30,000 year ago battle where the lover he loves had died/sacrificed --and he goes & saves her body - as an act of revenge he learn the evil spirits power to revenged for his loved one that got killed on the battlefield - he's so set revenge that he'll do whatever it takes to manipulate/kill anyone in the process that gets in his ways or doesn't do what he told them to do.
Xiao Lan Hua's (main FL) master I believe is the one that Lord Rong Hao loves & who had died in the battle 30,000 years ago to kill off Dong Fang Qing Cang - b/c she sacrificed herself to stop the bloody war from going any longer. But of course Xiao Lan Hua doesn't know this truth and thinks she's just traveling the world and unwilling to return back to Arbiter - where she manages the Destiny books of life of everyone.
Wow, oh wow, the last couple of episodes had me all over the place. -- well here's my 2-cents worth of insight/observations from this drama for ep 26 & 27:
Read at your own risk:
YD - TZ = well as you all said they seem sweet whenever they are not around TZ's master/leader...so annoyed with that stupid 'no love/emotion" rule. argh.... Fxxx that. excuse my language. Anyhow - those sweet moments they had, from in TZ room and First senior visit -- and asking YD to go with him around outside -- and then it downpoured -- and TZ rescues her sort of... Then the campfire scene -- TZ telling a ghost story which ended up them kissing each other by accident; to YD giving TZ an excuse to make up for the punishment he got and he rescues her during the fight b/w devils and the LX sect. After that YD wants to heal his injuries but he refuses her and then TZ giving her some medicine to take (spoon-feeding her) -- so sweet.
TZ vs YM - sigh when they came across each other - they went full heads on battling each other which annoyed YD -- she took off to do some random stuff and then gets captured by the evil lamp person...argh which turned YD into her original form. So sad. Why oh why did YD's sis have to leave her memories intact?!? Should've erased it completely before chucking her down to the mortal world. Ultimate fail. This will make YD suffer some more again b/c of this mistake her sis made. Sigh...super annoyed and want to zap her from the screen or have TZ put her into the bottle of his for capturing devils. Cause that evil lamp lady deserves it! She's not pure nor deserves to be in heaven again!
AX and Dragon Princess - sigh...these two don't belong together. AX is quite evil in so many ways -- he wants to kill Yumo no matter what. It's insane...and this hurts D.P. heart. He literally is controling her and torturing her -- plus in some ways jealous of her b/c she likes Y.M too.
Still not starting the adventure .... to open Kunlun Mountains☹️... need to be more patient and patient .....
He needs to retrieve things - the Soul Pursuit artifacts in order to be able to open Kunlun Mountains. Without them he can't do so. As well, he's also looking for a certain book to help him understand how those 5 Soul Pursuit artifacts can open Kunlun Mountains too. They are sort of starting it already - now that they are packed and leaving Shanghai by car to go to different places.
Well, after DYQ announced that the Penta-sect be disbanded -- this has caused an uproar in the martial art community.
Someone among them cannot be trusted - it could be LYS, it could be ZQH, it could be Commander Hu or it could be someone else. Someone framed DYQ already about one of the stolen Soul Pursuit order - already taken away from the "Mountain sect" (?) --and blame/frame it on DYQ that he took it from them already. One of my biggest suspicion is that LYS took it b/c he was in the city of Tianqin already before DYQ was there. He could've faked it all so that he can eventually have the control of accessing Kunlun - esp since he seems so easily compliant of when DYQ said I am in-charge, etc. I find that LYS is very sketchy there. But on the otherhand it could be someone from Commander Hu side that took it or it could also be from Ms. Ding too - b/c how many ppl knew that he, DYQ would make the move to go to Tianqin to retrieve the Soul Pursuit Order on the day he snuck out of the city.
Then again, DYQ did make a public announcement that he will disband the Penta-sect and wants to open Kunlun Mountains -- there are a lot of people unknown that could be after it too. But the biggest suspicion is still LYS - b/c he has a lot of knowledge about the Penta-sect somehow all these years too. Whether he is trustworthy or reliable or loyal is another question to be seen in the future episodes. Let the guessing game of who is the "real enemy" against DYQ - as I feel even WS can't be trust b/c of ZQH request that she gives him intel about what DYQ is up to. Whether or not she will follow thru with it or not is another matter. Not sure how DYQ feels to have her around him too - I mean he does like her and she likes him - but to be put into a position which manipulates their trust b/w each other -- I honestly don't really like it at all. Guess we'll wait and see how it goes.
As for Fengling - now I feel I cannot really trust her -- or more like she's turning jealous over him for things that aren't supposed to be -- esp in terms of the word "power" and WS. I feel like she can't be trusted either in some ways too...her agenda is definitely not clear but the biggest thing set in her mind -- "revenge for her bro that died" and Kunlun Mountains "so-called power/things in it".
Agree with you "zineaera" and well-said!! Dramas are never a flop - that's only on your own preceived mindset and fake judgement -- referring to "MTSS_2022" comment above here. Like others said -- too many dramas are released every quarter and for this drama to be ranked 3rd place on the charts (not thru cheating in pushing up the ranking, etc...is really a huge feat in itself. As well, yes - this drama has a very sensitive topic and cannot be promote like all other dramas out there too.
Everyone's taste of what type of drama/movie they like to watch is different. There's no such thing as a flop. All the cast members, directors, and crew put a lot of work into this drama and the other many dramas out there. All of them should deserve some sort of respect one way or another. If you "MTSS_2022" have not watch this drama - and just went on ahead complaining about it - sorry, that's just not fair for the drama itself. Please don't judge a drama but it's cover or other ppl's so-call "ranking/poor judgements"...b/c that's not fair to the drama itself at all.
To all "negative/quick judgers of the drama" ---> I've made it clear in my other posts - if you didn't put time to watch it and only follow the negative fake comments/viewership of the drama -- than I'd say you are missing out or probably it's not your "cup of tea" choice of drama to watch. No need to bash the drama at all without due diligence of giving the drama a chance to be watched and reviewed properly. Same goes for reading a book -- you can't really tell if a books is a good read just by looking at it's cover and say this one must be good/bad because of what others say it is. You need to put the effort and real energy to read some of it before making a comment/statement about it. So, same goes with a drama/movie. Ratings/other people's comments (good or bad) should not have an influence to you - to say if it's worth it to watch or not.
For me, I give a lot of dramas and movies a chance. There are a lot of "so-called negative comments" about certain dramas/movies out there that people say are "bad"...until I really put an effort into watching it - with deep meaning behind the words they say, actions (body language) and understanding the in between the unspoken words b/w characters - then I can tell if it's a good drama or not to watch. B/c it is then that I can acknowledge the real storyline that they author/director wants us to see - and give my true feedback to it all.
Only on ep 3 and WS disappointed me when she gave up what DYQ gave her....so i stopped watching for now Lol ummm…
No he outsmarted them and if you watch more - he will do a lot of things that will surprise you. Also, please don't be disappointed with WS - she had no choice under those circumstances they were in at the time the cops came over to the Penta-sect place. She just wants to insure that the safety of her sect members and her master too at that time. Some times in life you have to looks at the bigger picture to resolve some issues - not everything is predictable or set on revenge only.

TBH, I hope he really changes for the better and continues to learn more from XLH. Also, I hope that the 2 will be able to be together and that XLH will not betray him either too. Otherwise this story will be another historical sad ending drama which I don't like.

To all "negative/quick judgers of the drama" --->
I've made it clear in my other posts - if you didn't put time to watch it and only follow the negative fake comments/viewership of the drama -- than I'd say you are missing out or probably it's not your "cup of tea" choice of drama to watch.
