Look for dramas with Adapted from a Novel, Wuxia, Cultivation. There are many.

Yep, I love Xianxia too, just lately been wanting some xuanhuan. Hopefully this checks the boxes. That being said, I wouldn't say Xianxia dramas have "good" CGI either.

I watched this years ago, and I thought the ML was the worse. I didn't catch on the assault, but they traumatized this woman the whole drama and then in the end they try to make it all better because he makes an apology on T.V?
I did complete it, but only because I wanted to see what happened with the child.

Agreed, these Fantasy World Cultivation Xuanhuan dramas are right up my alley right now.
Also the practical effects are not bad, sure the CGI isn't the best and action scenes are shot in a rushed way, but it's enough.

Dude, I like the cast, actors, music, but the story imho is disjointed and boring, and never does anything satisfying. I've never had to force myself watch a JJY drama until now.
