great point about being a fool by keeping one's word to detrimental behaviours. iirc at first the ML's mom was keeping the FL's father alive with the ongoing medical costs - so the FL agreed to the pact in order to keep her dad alive and also to have a chance with the ML in the future (which is portrayed as not possible without the mother's approval). imo those are two things she wanted the most in the world so she agreed to such a demanding/foolish condition.

its crazy that the FL broke the pact literally weeks before 10 years were done. i mean all she had to do was tell the ML to wait for 1 more month when he asked her how long did he have to wait (before he kissed her). but she got super in the mood to get nude so threw away all her integrity and principles for some sexy time. i fully understood why the mum lost it at her - the FL couldn't control her lust for just a few more days after waiting almost 10 years. crazy work.

they do have kisses and hugs but only a few. but by no means is it platonic. it is romantic.

it's a cute and healthy relationship. it's not madly passionate but rather a romance built on trust and understanding. they work together and support each other through hard times with some some romantic moments sprinkled along their journey.

Watched up to ep 10 and then only watched the 2nd couple's story until the end. Extra points for some touching moments overall, but personally the main couple's relationship didn't hit the spot for me. 7/10

there is less CGI used throughout the remainder of the story.
whether you pick it back up or not is completely up to you. it's a build-up to a romance story so the plot mainly focuses on that.

no plot holes. clever and emotive storyline that got better as the episodes progressed 9.5/10

yeah unfortunately dubbed. kiki's natural voice is quite pleasant and totally agree that the dubbing does no favours to the drama.

not really a cliffhanger as such, moreso a storyline that has a new direction/ML with a new agenda.

Song Yi is the FL but doesn't play a major part in the 2nd half of the story

I was not interested in the Australian version (Miss Fisher) but very much enjoyed Miss S. Although nearly all the events and things are said are done the same, I found the Australian version a lot more "rough" with their accents and not to my taste. One difference was the painting of Miss Fisher being nude while Su Wenli was wearing a garment in Miss S. There were a few other subtle differences which were so wonderfully adapted to Chinese culture.
