I laughed, I cried, I yelled. Honestly, from the beginning I was leading my ChopperKillYourDad agenda but I'm honestly more than happy with the fact that he didn't actually kill him. He killed him off as a problem and that's what counts. Chopper is my BOY! I love him. Palm and Neung go through a lot of ups and downs but gosh the character development is great. They take turns being lil shits but never for an unbearably long time. The conflict in this is never torturous and that's very important to me. Also, Pond and Phuwin's chemistry is off the charts. I didn't care for FUTS but even in that I thought they were good together, so seeing them together in an actually good show with good characters makes me SO happy. Also how different the characters are??? They absolutely killed it. I also enjoy that this really wasn't enemies to lovers (which I do love) despite it seeming like it would be. They squabbled but real quick were like aite let's be friends. And then aite we're dating. The romance was spot on. I could write sonnets about how beautiful this series is but I'll stop here cause it's 3 am and this is already too long lol

Santa did a FANTASTIC job in this series. Seriously, his acting is great. He played a very good mischievous teenager and did good showing Cake mature over the years. Still goofy, but not as rambunctious. Also the decision to dye his hair blonde was a great one 😌 he looks so good. Earth also did great, though it's not too far out from the other roles I've seen him in, he fully delivered a great performance.

I am SO confused about when this takes place. I thought it was a period piece, maybe early 00's, and that was furthered by the MSN use and the phones they had, but then Cake had a Fleabag poster on his wall? And I think at one point a calendar said 2007, but again, Fleabag. That's from like 2016.
It starts off very, very slow. Not gonna lie, it doesn't pick up until episode 7 or so and that's a lot of time to wait. But it was cute. The scene where Cake speaks in English and says all the things he loves about Eiw was one of the most natural and lovely scenes I've seen.

I just saw the trailer for this and I love the role reversals from Enchanté lol now Force is the rich fancy boy and Book is the poor, rural boy. Love to see it 😌 that being said, ironically idk how I feel about these two in this type of storyline (or this storyline in general) but I absolutely won't knock it before I try it
