The story needed the serial killer to make the main character come to the city. The shaman was required to control other humans because of her influence over other humans. Because for some unsaid reasons, the monster that controlled the mutants was searching for a host.

The monster that controls the mutants is intelligent. It knows that humans will barricade and protect themselves against mutants. For whatever unsaid reasons, it is looking for a suitable host which, we later find out, is the detective. So, it can't really turn every human into mutants. To control other humans, it needs someone influential like the shaman. Just my take though.

In episode 1, the TV in the background when the people are talking about the world ending and in the serial killer's victim's TV, it shows that NASA detect something if i remember correctly.

They manage to kill the monster that controls other mutants and save the city of Muji. All the mutants die after that. Dong Rim dies as the monster though. The detective tries to save her but fails. They show happy life after it is all over. And of course they say another "sink hole" appeared in another city before showing a mutant and ending it.

I really feel like they extended 5 hours worth of content into 12 hours. I wouldn't have minded the the filling 7ish hours of content if it had some sort of atmospheric music with cinematic vibe.

Idk if this counts as a "family drama" but someone I know really wanted me to try "family drama". I am only on episode 18 and I am done. The kind of "manipulation" going on by the CEO of the royal restaurant I really cannot handle well. Does this go on every kind of family drama?

Yoo Han was the most suffered in my opinion but yeah I'd rather use the term one of the most to both Ba Reum and Yoo Han rather than most
