''watching Back From The Brink after reading the novel.'' oh boy another relatable person!!!
I used to read that novel while it was still raw and than a nice person adopted to translate into englısh. We were so happy to read it years ago again in english. It became one of my fave novels from that author! Its really one of a kind esp female lead Yan Hui :') her character is unforgettable for me.
Then we heard it was going to be a drama and I watched it.... I dont have enough vocabulary in english to describe how I felt & still feel about that darned remake....

I was so hopeful from this pairing and costumes but... supposedly humorous parts ruined this drama for me.
Im quite sad I couldnt watch my LYT in such pretty costumes while I also enjoy watching her partner LYN...

Im sorry and I dont mean to be rude but CY is a lot more beauty +handsome than his visuals. Even that narcissist lead guy Dongfang Qing Cang was in awe and wow for a second when he arrive their home.(when he thought CY was the Shifu that little orchid talk all along.Later on he realize he wasnt tho)

Im back to this because I kind of missed both leads casting BUT after watching first episode I remember why I dropped it so many times before x'''D her obsession makes me really worried for younger gen, girls accepting that as love and affection. She literally needs professional help. Esp after such a trauma (I also went thr similar thing with 99 earthquake in Türkiye I can see why she turned out that way BUT)...

Exactly what I feel... I love her but her drama choices and male leads are just not my cup of tea...

I almost forgot there is also Begin Again! Chemistry was so great that even if second part was frustrating for me I still re-watched it for leads and their couple story. Its hard to come by such unique female leads so I was in awe and love with her but on second half writer was drunk obviously... They even made a joke out of that part in drama extra's later on..
Anyway its a worth to watch modern Cdrama if you in the mood for it.

If you are ok with dramatic & slow progress in between couple and their miss understanding (they wont reveal it to either characters or viewers for some time) then I want to recommend 'Here to Heart'.
Writing is a low slower than most.Its in workplace. Acting was simply amazing and I couldnt watch either of leads with another actors after that drama chemistry was so believable. Waiting for reveal was worth it for me.
There were many people frustrated with how female lead was written though. I have to put a warning she is quite the introvert and mature.Janine Chang was amazing with this kind of character.

I think the person translated synopsis right from original sources. That should explain why they think you can develop & /or cure these kind of genetic diseases.
I also wonder if they are serıous or real whenever I end up reading similar stuff in Chinese novel world. It happens a lot more than you would think...
Maybe its something lost in translations I dont know I mostly use google trans.

This kinda stuff doesnt happen to me often while watching asian dramas because its been so long but whenever I watch this guy I have a feeling as if Im watching Wang Hong Yi instead 😅 I prefer his acting especially expressions over WHY tho. Really expressive and not stiff at all.Also quite natural with it.

I was interested in leads' story and was ready skip other stuff but female lead is quite tiring to watch. AND Im only 3 eps in...
dropped around ep 14.

2 eps in I have zero idea what the heck is going on and where plot is going BUT Mao ZiJun's gaze/eyes are just so nice to watch whatever script he is in!!! Gee his face looks demn serious but his eyes looks so playful-mischievous while at it if he wants to like how?!?!?
Its a shame he hardly gets better scripts in costume dramas anymore let alone being a lead...
edit after 15eps: They actually wast so much money to film this kind of nonsense writing?!
Even if I miss MZJ for years it didnt worth it. Gave me so much secondhand embarrassment as female viewer (cause of fml) and made me feel like a headless fly... why bother

Im rewatching Nothing But You right now. He is definitely the guy who would catch my eyes and heart IF I was in my younger days! Like I would probably fall hard for him with that kind of character in drama world xD Right now I just feel like he is very adorable good looking didi *-*
I hope we can see him more lead roles & esp in costume drama roles...

This pairing deserved a better written script. I really loved the overall CP look and chemistry they had :') costumes made their visuals even better and adds to their beauty but the script is really... what a shame

it should be okay? ChengLei is filming Mo Li yet they let him go to promo event with his partner Song Yi for Shadow Love this week.

this hair style & dyeing made me remember that guy from Tomorrow drama! Looks very good on both actors.

how pathetic... they get very angry when anyone put their fingers at the end of eyes to show how asian people' eyes tho...

I have a feeling that I will like camera man' work in this drama!
