No you arent alone. Really missing something in writing of lead girl also in general with details of their love story. Chemistry is alsovery bland. Acting is also very limited by lead actress this was my first time I watched her (I think?) and wow I will reconsider when I saw her name as lead again before starting a serie.

I dont understand why they pick such scumbag novels to remake ınto drama while there are many worthy novels to pick from...
I had to drop the novel after 17chapter and I have to say I made myself go through such a thing to see IF WRITER WAS FOR REAL. It was for real gee.

Zhang YaQin would be great for such a role! She already looks like younger version of Zhao Wei, she is great with martial art moves & fighting scenes. She has the charisma/vibe & cuteness when its needed. I can only hope T_T

He was adorable and looked nice as ChangYuan but it wasnt fit to the canon at all.
Im trying not to ask for perfect casting here BUT as a novel lover he was so fckıng pretty that even when the lead from Love between Fairy&Devil came upon their house, he was surprised & thought to himself he was pretty enough to be to be remembered by his beloved orchid for such a long time (IF I remember novel's extras right lol) When Chang Yuan wasnt even the master Orchid remembered anyway it was SiMing..

then leave? we dont need to leave. Everyone has a right to say what they thought of a drama. There isnt a rule on MDL that only people who likes dramas can comments underneath if not they have to shut up...
I dont understand what of this site becoming in recent years!

Really liked first 7-8eps but then something happened & got very draggy while acting was superb. Liked both leads so cont to watch with skips, it got worse not even interesting plots or tropes or any other characters later on... except their family was fun but they didnt give much of a screen time for them... I completed it for the leads, found my new faces to follow!

After reading english translation of her talk from her birthday concert, I hope she can take a break soon enough to take care of her inner-self & body, with her family & close friends. She deserves such a break after so many costume dramas..

I know how distracting and unpleasant dubbing can be (especially IF its your bias or someone you follow)
BUT only episode 1 & dubbing problem aint be enough to given up on any drama :/ Maybe your heart or mind wasnt in it for real at all. Some dramas are easier to check and get into after some tries after a while OR when you are in the mood for it.

29 eps were enough as it is. BUT I wont give up on Asadora genre just because I felt this way for one of the most famous one...
Ive gotta say even tho I loved watching lead actress' beautiful & adorable face her acting & writing of her character was lacking for me. Her younger self actress were so much better and animated that I actually miss her and might even rewatch previous eps for her...

I was there for the leads, especially Ren Min bae<3 She needs more costume dramas to film! She looks so lovely & cool in it. Her character had many interesting & cute mimics in this drama<3 Her real voice wasnt dubbed which is a big plus for me too.
They didnt had much of a screen time and drama had quite serious story and many characters to focus on for such short episode number...
Drama itself is too short 12x30mins maybe even less at times, for such a genre & story so I wasnt able to care about much of a plot.

it was cute and fun until this random & nonsense 'aphrodisiac' plot drive in ep8...There wasnt enough romance progress too so I decided to drop it. But acting was decent and leads were good together. This lead actress looks really pretty & adorable I knew I watched her before when I started it.Looks like she was the cutest cat(?) spirit from The Princess and the Werewolf.

Going through this because I need a costume drama which I didnt watch yet from both; Li Landi & Wang Anyu BUT seriously it feels like a chore so far...

Im so glad TJC was able to meet one of my new fave actresses as a pair.Their natural chemistry is amazing & flowing ,also both has such interesting & unique characters here. Im so proud of watching her, be able to act so good & sincere with emotional parts as her crazy parts beside him! Both their dynamic as actors & as a pairing of characters were so nice to watch. Been through this drama only because of them. Sadly they didnt had enough screen time they deserve...

IF one of the pairing was younger than 20 those 5 years might count as 'age gap' to me in casting I think.
BUT I agree with you guys on this age gap tag matter.

It was so demn tiring for me to go into drama's page on MDL while I was watching the drama around that time :/ Hating culture is so strong on most females here its tiring...

Its been so long since I watched half of ''When You Be Me (2022)'' & put it on hold. Now that I watched 'Go East' I felt like knowing lead actress from somewhere! NO WONDER SHE CAN CARRY A COOL CHARACTER SO NATURALLY *-*
I can only hope she gets more costume drama roles! It fits her very well there were so many unique wardrobe choices in GE, she looks even adorable & interesting in messy costumes when her characters was living on streets!
