is it a last minute happy ending? when do the main couple get together, break up, and get together again?
fyi (bc I looked for this comment/question too hehe) they get together at the end of ep 19 but its a major situationship leading up to that (like half the time I was like did I miss the confession?)
Don't get the hype. It got so boring I couldn't finish it.
I think it was really good for its time (there are more and more modern rom com gems now) gonna try to rewatch...haven't really watched since it came out
can you guys explain the joke in ep 11 about the gift?
re-skimmed ep 11...are you talking about the gift from the team leader to Lin XinZi (FL's "younger sis" actually her cousin...which I didn't even realize until they talked about their moms...) anyways, its a cup...in chinese called 杯子 "bei zi". And a lifetime in chinese is 辈子 " bei zi" (different tone). So bc the team leader is dating someone now, even tho he was chasing XinZi; he's saying he can no longer be with her for a lifetime (跟你一辈子 = gen ni yi bei zi), but he can give her a cup (给你一个杯子 = gei ni yi ge bei zi ) so just a little pun and a good ending to her team lead bordering on being a creep by chasing a subordinate
Is the current synopsis from a different show? If yes could someone give me it's name?
:o yah someone changed the summary! it was not like this a few days ago... the old one was more accurate. this is not the summary at all. the names are accurate tho...
ITS SO GOOD. THE STORY. THE CAST. THE MUSIC. THE PRODUCTION. a breath of fresh air in an anoxic industry I can't believe I just finished it. Like completing a stroll in a park or finishing the last sip of a smooth cold brew.
I'm so glad and thankful that this got translated quite decently because I couldn't finish it when it first came out...I don't usually watch historical dramas so I wasn't used to hearing the dialogues that were in the voice acting scenes
that said, this drama was very mediocre the storyline did not flow very well (some things happened that didn't make sense and some set ups didn't have full execution), there wasn't anything that had me hooked one thing I wasn't expecting was the theme of FL not knowing her future career after she graduated...which is real...they could've expanded on it to increase the depth of this drama (at the risk of it being too sappy and deep though)
For me this was a rare gem that beautifully displayed personal growth as well as being even better together. As…
yesss and I'm so happy we saw growth in Chen XuanXuan and it was all natural...she signed herself up for something that forced herself to mature...not like someone else changed her
im on ep 7the production is aight but honestly the story really doesn't flow well. I saw the bad comments and…
They tried to frame FL as a liar (like how the description reads of the orig drama) like how MLtalked a lot about wishing the girl stopped lying...but she literally wasn't lying that much?? like a lot of dramas have characters that tell some lies and exaggerate to get out of things like *owing ppl money* when they're getting chased down but they aren't called liars. She's definitely a person that is in debt...but I wouldn't call her a liar? Her personality of standing by her first design inspired by a famous necklace (and not selling it for money) and declaring that it is not a "fake" design totally contradicts this "liar personality" they try to throw on her. ML straight up gives away his mom's necklace to the FL when confessing to her when they've known eachother for not that long. and then like a day later he says she's the only one he'll love in his entire life. Meanwhile FL gets heartbroken (memory flashback scenes of good times play) after an antagonist just says a few sharp words. Like is their relationship strong or not?? I'm confused?? ML steals his own family's company's necklace because he opposed selling his mom's design. ML's brother and father wanted to sell it to save the company. After hiding for more than a week, ML's brother finds ML and explains *once again* that he's trying to save mom's legacy by saving the company and explains that he has sacrificed so much just so that ML can be carefree. Then ML is like ok, so what are we going to do now; almost like he finally understood. LIKE HOW DID HE MAGICALLY GROW BRAIN CELLS AND UNDERSTAND? The first scene we see of FL's best male friend, he's getting ready and pumping himself up, saying how he's going to show FL who the most handsome guy is (himself) and in later scenes he's always threatened by ML and tries to separate them BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN WE FIND OUT HE'S IN LOVE WITH FL'S BEST FRIEND???
I don't know what to say I feel like I'm losing braincells
im on ep 7 the production is aight but honestly the story really doesn't flow well. I saw the bad comments and thought that maybe I'd have a different perspective when I haven't watched the original drama but I'm wrong not sure if I'll drop yet... I'll drop some examples below of the horrible flow/execution it's not all bad tho I guess, the comedic timing of somethings are pretty good
Sadly dropped this drama. I found the male lead's acting to be too stiff and certain emotions he displayed didn't…
honestly, I agree...I was really excited to watch and I liked the set up...but I just never saw myself drawn to it again (after I got busy and took a small break at ep 10)
Lets be real. If the younger sis was a competing love interest to FL, I would've given up the middle of the drama.…
I also want to say, I appreciate the balance of this secondary couple SFL had a "first love" that did her wrong, then realized she liked SML. I would cringe so hard if she liked SML for years as she grew up SML had a "first love" long ago that did him wrong, and then realized he liked SFL (although she confessed and chased him first)
Lets be real. If the younger sis was a competing love interest to FL, I would've given up the middle of the drama. It's nice when immature pouty little sisters are real younger sisters and not the weakest point of a love triangle.
but its a major situationship leading up to that (like half the time I was like did I miss the confession?)
same last name is more common in china/populations with majority of the same ethnicity but still xD
I agree!! of all the things that I've seen this ML in, I've only thought Sweet Teeth fitted him
I'm so glad I scrolled through comments. Thanks for sharing!!!
that last scene was soooo goooddddd
also hilarious that we found out that the intern is Da Wang's cousin (and straight up forgot their exact relation)
gonna try to rewatch...haven't really watched since it came out
