For me this was a rare gem that beautifully displayed personal growth as well as being even better together. As…
yesss and I'm so happy we saw growth in Chen XuanXuan and it was all natural...she signed herself up for something that forced herself to mature...not like someone else changed her
im on ep 7the production is aight but honestly the story really doesn't flow well. I saw the bad comments and…
They tried to frame FL as a liar (like how the description reads of the orig drama) like how MLtalked a lot about wishing the girl stopped lying...but she literally wasn't lying that much?? like a lot of dramas have characters that tell some lies and exaggerate to get out of things like *owing ppl money* when they're getting chased down but they aren't called liars. She's definitely a person that is in debt...but I wouldn't call her a liar? Her personality of standing by her first design inspired by a famous necklace (and not selling it for money) and declaring that it is not a "fake" design totally contradicts this "liar personality" they try to throw on her. ML straight up gives away his mom's necklace to the FL when confessing to her when they've known eachother for not that long. and then like a day later he says she's the only one he'll love in his entire life. Meanwhile FL gets heartbroken (memory flashback scenes of good times play) after an antagonist just says a few sharp words. Like is their relationship strong or not?? I'm confused?? ML steals his own family's company's necklace because he opposed selling his mom's design. ML's brother and father wanted to sell it to save the company. After hiding for more than a week, ML's brother finds ML and explains *once again* that he's trying to save mom's legacy by saving the company and explains that he has sacrificed so much just so that ML can be carefree. Then ML is like ok, so what are we going to do now; almost like he finally understood. LIKE HOW DID HE MAGICALLY GROW BRAIN CELLS AND UNDERSTAND? The first scene we see of FL's best male friend, he's getting ready and pumping himself up, saying how he's going to show FL who the most handsome guy is (himself) and in later scenes he's always threatened by ML and tries to separate them BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN WE FIND OUT HE'S IN LOVE WITH FL'S BEST FRIEND???
I don't know what to say I feel like I'm losing braincells
im on ep 7 the production is aight but honestly the story really doesn't flow well. I saw the bad comments and thought that maybe I'd have a different perspective when I haven't watched the original drama but I'm wrong not sure if I'll drop yet... I'll drop some examples below of the horrible flow/execution it's not all bad tho I guess, the comedic timing of somethings are pretty good
Sadly dropped this drama. I found the male lead's acting to be too stiff and certain emotions he displayed didn't…
honestly, I agree...I was really excited to watch and I liked the set up...but I just never saw myself drawn to it again (after I got busy and took a small break at ep 10)
Lets be real. If the younger sis was a competing love interest to FL, I would've given up the middle of the drama.…
I also want to say, I appreciate the balance of this secondary couple SFL had a "first love" that did her wrong, then realized she liked SML. I would cringe so hard if she liked SML for years as she grew up SML had a "first love" long ago that did him wrong, and then realized he liked SFL (although she confessed and chased him first)
Lets be real. If the younger sis was a competing love interest to FL, I would've given up the middle of the drama. It's nice when immature pouty little sisters are real younger sisters and not the weakest point of a love triangle.
I liked how realistic it was that there were consequences of the twin switch and fake relationship. Everything…
LOL I'll explain the uncle a bit...although TBH his character wasn't strong at all basically the company was created by ML's dad and the uncle (idk what the split was back then); when the dad died, he split up the control of the company between the uncle and ML. Uncle got greedy and wanted to open up all the mines and expand, without putting too much effort into research; which contrasts to ML's background in geology that makes ML interested in actual geological research on these mines.
Additionally, uncle doesn't like the fact that ML is adopted; so he never "trusts" ML. But this discord is only present within the company. To family (ML's sis and ML's mom), there's no more than some tension with ML that is apparent.
Lastly, his relationship with the FL's rival actress, seems like a relationship for benefits (she benefits monetarily and he benefits from having her by his side). There doesn't seem to be real feelings.
Basically, he's a "villain" has wrong motivations/actions but is still a relative that the screenwriters use to "push" the storyline. They plop him in a velvet suit, make him a little greedy, and then throw in a little "at the end of the day, family is still family". Not very creative and definitely not a well-written character
LOL wat. aside from this being creepy obsessive behavior, I'm confused...is transgender not censored in China (even though same-sex relationships usually are?)
I just finished. I really liked this show. It wasn't overly dramatic, which was nice. I will say that I didn't…
I don't think it does 😂😂 I think it was to show that ML was busy with research, as expected; and FL was busy with business, as expected its like repeating history of FL's family, but with audience hoping that this time, it'll turn out better bc their love is strong (you see that they show up to pick up the kid after)
Currently on ep. 4. Just wanted get this off my chest. Whoever styled the FL should be sued. Her hairstyle, make…
actually I think she's about 26 in the drama (was in the same grade as ML; he signed a 5-yr contract with WeiLin right after he finished undergrad and that contract isn't up yet) but yah, I think it's supposed to add to her character of "spoiled/protected silver spoon kid"
I know they were bound to but I'm not a fan tbh like when FL told Chen Shu how much Gao Leng changed I was like wUAt there's no change?? Gao Leng still acts rashly and doesn't think before he acts like he's always done things for Chen Shu but when he gets heated/in the moment, he still doesn't think
I feel like it should've been expressed as Chen Shu changing her mind in what she thinks is important (his care for her VS his lack of maturity/thinking before acting) bc there was no change in Gao Leng 😒
AHHH this was good. decent production, great chemistry, great OST, no particularly frustrating chunk of episodes, not super draggy (but it is more slow-burn). The only thing is the push to introduce BeiDou (the Chinese alternative to GPS) was a bit too obvious (but it's China...what do we expect)
and it was all natural...she signed herself up for something that forced herself to mature...not like someone else changed her

we already have the previews so we know what'll happen but how does she respond to the confrontation :o
