yahhh I think its definitely on the weirder side...he has a room for her in his house not sure how far you got, but it seems like he's in-training and Chu Yi is in denial and refuses to go to the clinic so the only way he can help her is in his apartment...and it may be the case that she's his only "patient" he sees in his apartment
so I'm still a bit up in the air how I feel about this. I can see he values her as his first "patient", but due to the circumstances, I can't tell if it crosses the line emotionally (but I can't deny it's crossing the "professionalism" line)
On ep 6 (watching on Viki) and in no universe wouid I have thought to read "eating 🐈" in a Chinese drama....also,…
ackkk I just saw it there was definitely a different way they could've translated it the literal meaning is eat soft rice/food...which means to live off a woman i have no idea why they translated it like that
despite the subtitles always lacks, even am not surprised MangoTV done that lol, but this short play just wholesome.…
yessss I totally agree with the PD's choice to skip filming the wedding. I'm sure they would've had to cut costs somewhere else if they had splurged on a wedding set and cast
what in the worldddddd I randomly found this on youtube and thought it was a low-grade web drama but it was soooo funny and so cuteeeee. I was smiling EVERY episode also they did not feel like 15 min eps (how did a 15-min, 22-ep series fit an industry standard 30/45-min, 24-ep story?? they definitely cut the usual fillers) I ain't complainin
one thing that I didn't get: how is the kid always calling the mom by her full name??? might be more understanding of calling the dad by his name bc he just met him but sometimes the kid says "mom" and then sometimes he says "Min Hui" like I always thought Chinese/many asian households don't call parents by first name (esp as kids)?? I definitely didn't.
honestly not too bad of a drama...it's a super classic rom-com setup with the regular tropes; but it's *not* like the low-grade tropey short web dramas that are released nowadays
leads are cute, and kid is cute. slow burn, but there's never a doubt that the leads are gonna get together bc of their deep love/care for each other. also SML gets his own love, so everyone wins (3 couples!...you can see it in the poster/intro)
Which episode lead end up together???Any breakup???
they were almost together quite a few times (the last time, being ep 16 when they were 30 secs from being official but then drama so she was upset with him for a few eps) but they officially got together in ep 21 but I feel like just based on their history, u know that they still love each other and will get together so I don't think anything was super angsty (there was a few eps on the custody thing...that really didn't make sense...he could've just explained it) but that didn't last too long I think
i was only half paying attention to it in the beginning..can somebody remind me again please why she sat on that…
yah, the guy's dad is a top surgeon from abroad so they made a deal that he'll get his dad to operate on her son if she publicly flirted with him ZhouRuji is primary cardiac doctor and he is a surgeon so he did help out in the surgery
for sure, a lot of the subtle play on words and line delivery that make the script flow really well are best if…
just so happened to think about this comment when watching an ep today. Here's an example in ep 21: professor says: "when your here, you have to follow my rules: no giving up half way, no tardiness, no bringing gifts, bring more questions" ML & FL says: "no problem" but "questions" and "problem" are the same characters 问题 and there's a very subtle awkward stare and chuckle after they realized the irony of the professor saying "more 问题" and them saying "no 问题"
it was not an LOL moment...but it added to the flow one of those things that may not be worth translating in subtitles, but added a bit of quality to the original script
