This is pretty good for a web drama.. I like both the leads, there is a little humor.. It's clear it's a low budget little drama, in so many ways, but still I am enjoying it .

Hmm because of the overflowing praises I was impatient to watch this drama and was kinda disappointed. I'm not saying it's not good, i see why it's a classic, but I have to be attached to the characters to really enjoy a drama and it wasn't the case here. What I was the most surprised about was how charmless I found Ye hua. It's been a longtime since I've been this unmoved by a male lead actually.
I absolutely love the FL. She's funny, smart, clever, persistent, and follows her convictions fearlessly. She's capable, and has an appreciation for beautiful women. I LOVE her. I love the ML, of course, as he's written as a manifestation of all my desires and is played by a man whose smile is my kryptonite.
HOWEVER....this show ultimately suffered from really bad pacing and underwhelming plot progression. Halfway through (like ep 14/15), I was thinking about how much I enjoyed interactions between the leads and therefore how starkly felt their absence was. They had so little to substantially develop their relationship for so long into the drama despite their dynamic being the biggest draw of the show.
So little happened and yet somehow too much happened. The drama would give me glimpses of things that I adored or things I wish it would focus on, and then go a different way. The premise and the potential of it all was so good! I liked it, but by episode 30 my interest had severely waned and I was left with the knowledge that I could've LOVED it
Xing Zhaolin is beautiful and I like his performance, even though haters always criticize him like in the comments here, that doesn't change the admiration of his fans, so whoever doesn't like xzl simply doesn't watch, because there are thousands of people around the world who consider him an excellent actor and very handsome too.
I am enjoying this alot! But this would have been even better if it was 20mins per episode. We would have gotten more detailed characterisation of the characters and plot and maybe even develop of relationship
Like.... How?👁️👄👁️
I don't see anything sexual about it
