A lot of women AREN'T GULLIBLE like the writers think we are. We are capable of critical thinking. She wasn't supposed to be general...or a person who gets successful multiple times using brute force with minimal application of mind. He wasn't supposed to be sidelined. This is not how you write a strong Female. Its not supposed be performative. It should acknowledge our physical restraints and powerful minds.
These days, Korean dramas don’t seem as good as they used to be. Those were the days—shows like The Legend of the Blue Sea, Goblin, Kill Me Heal Me, Secret, and My Love from the Star were truly something special.
Every actor is now proving that he can carry his co-star with just one arm. No wonder they can do it, because the actresses aren’t just slim, they’re skinny and weigh barely more than 40 kg. Is it always a good thing when women weigh less than children? There’s no shame in being a bit curvier – just look at all the beautiful women in sizes S, M, L or XL.
To be honest, the single greatest asset of this entire drama is Dai Gao Zheng. His on-screen performance and 'aura' are more than enough to keep the audience captivated; however, the unfortunate reality is that the writer fails to do justice to the potential of his character. The way his character has been written clearly betrays a lack of depth. It feels as though the writer missed the opportunity to channel his talent in the right direction. Despite this, his chemistry with Shea is truly on a whole other level.
