Never watched any of the above. Popular dramas I watched and dropped (permanently) are:You Who Came from the StarsThe…
UGH. Full House. I sometimes think that every compliment it gets is just rose tinted glasses and nostalgia, because watching it in 2017 (or 2015, when I first gave it a chance) is just... bad. Really bad. Heirs was pretty bad too.
I like Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto, W, Suspicious Partner. I didn't watch other dramas. I dropped The Legend of the…
As a pretty big LMH fan, I also dropped Legend of the Sea pretty much the first episode. For some reason I just didn't find it very interesting for some reason? I'm planning on giving it another chance some time, though.
I'd have done everything the chick did in W. Mainly because I am Lee Jong Suk TRASH. Just... garbage for him. But I digress. I'd say it makes sense- he felt real to her. She could smell him, touch him, hear him. No matter what cold logic tells her, he might as well have been real. Also, that drama had such a unique premise and took a lot of risks that I really respect it for. It was also pretty disturbing at some points, which I also respect it for. I didn't have any trouble following the events of that drama either, although admittedly they did garble the end a bit.
Tomorrow With You, though... Ugh. I wanted to like it. I wanted to like it so bad. But I just never found myself thinking, "Golly, you know what I want to watch? Tomorrow With You!" It seemed interesting, and the leads should have been gold, but I couldn't force myself through it.
The two other kdramas here are both ones I'm planning on watching. Dark humour is my kind of thing, so Jealousy Incarnate looks like a win to me. I'd watch Ji Chang Wook sit on a chair doing nothing for a couple hours, so I'm going to end up giving Suspicious Partner a try, at the very least.
I gotta rewatch this some time. This was my first variety show, which I watched basically solely because of Daesung, and I grew to love everybody in it.
Yay, MDL has variety shows! I'm adding this first and foremost, even though I haven't watched an episode in ages. It had become so formulaic. The first 100~ episodes were the best of times~
Despite the silliness and EXTREME tonal dissonance (along with some mighty questionable jokes concerning LGBTQ+ elements) I really, really, REALLY enjoyed this. The leads are adorable. Their love is so believable and joyful and it just brought me a lot of happiness seeing the together. The love triangle turns into an ideal squad of a badass hero and her sidekicks- one of them a technology wiz, the other a gruff and tough cop. I recommend this. There are some disturbing things in it- disturbing for a kdrama, that is. If you're used to American media to any degree it's all fairly tame.
This drama has flaws, but one of those flaws is not 'boring'.
I'm so heartbroken by this. He was such a positive presence. This hit me harder than some recent celebrity deaths. While seeing somebody play roles in movies and television is one thing, I've watched this man simply being himself for 100+ hours on 2D1N. Obviously I didn't actually know him, but you develop a really strong familiarity with somebody after watching them for so long. I can picture him smiling, and I've seen him cry real tears. He's talked about his hopes and dreams and struggles and we've seen it all. And now he's gone. It's a strange feeling.
Is there any reason the name was changed from "I Remember You" to "Hello Monster"? I much prefer the former, and it comes from the native Korean. Not sure where Hello Monster comes from.
I want to watch this, and I want to like it. I've seen SO many bad things about it though. I tend to be pretty forgiving when it comes to Chinese historicals because they're usually damn pretty. Is this drama at least sensical? If you had to pick a drama (preferably one I've seen) to compare it to quality-wise, what would it be?
I wasn't thinking the King was very good-looking at first, but seeing him in the modern bits changed that really quickly. Anywho, the tone of this drama is giving me whiplash. I don't know if I like it or not.
I'm so excited for this! I'm usually not the HUGEST Suzy fan in the world, but she's decent, and with LJS at her side nothing can go wrong. (At least I hope so.) This can't come soon enough!
I'm definitely a chocolate fanatic. Sweet things are my vice. Although my go-to savoury snack is Nongshim kimchi ramen with kimchi dumplings. That, or green tea ice cream.
I love his whole attitude to love/women.
"Oh, what's that? You want to have sex with me? Okay."
"You're living with me? You love me? Okie dokie then, I guess this is happening."
As for the villain, I wasn't expecting it.. They seemed kind of kooky and off-beat, and definitely different from the rest of them, but that made me like them more? Idk they were prob one of my faves until it was revealed, at which point I wanted Shin to rip them apart. Cut their hair off. Chop their hands off. Torture them, but don't kill them. Do something. (Too much Game of Thrones for me, I think!)
I felt a little off about the rival author storyline. It was really underwhelming imo.
Nobody yell at me, but I really was not a fan of Dilmurat Dilraba in the other drama I've seen her in. (Peach Blossoms)
Is she less annoying in this? More importantly, is her dub artist less high-pitched in this? I like my female leads to have a bit of a deeper, calmer voice. I love the lead dude but the chick is making me not want to bother watching this.
...Looks like I'm going to have to wait until there's a good chunk of this drama out before I watch it. If it actually goes into modern times I'm not gonna bother.
Heirs was pretty bad too.
