A drama with "witch" in the title that's actually about a witch, instead of just a woman who people've decided to call one because they think she's a bitch? SIGN ME UP.
I started this drama when it started airing- clearly its taken me a little while to finish. Aaaaand for the effort of finally mustering up the effort to watch the ten or so episodes I had to go, how am I rewarded? The most unsatisfying inconsequential ending imagineable. Ugh. There was a lot of good plot points in this drama, and a lot of potential, but I feel like ultimately it ended with a sputter and gasp.
(Also, did anybody actually want her husband to live? I sure as hell didnt)
Y'ALLL I AM SO DAMN HAPPY THEY DIDN'T FORCE SHIN AND SO BONG TOGETHER HOLY CRAP. IF THEY DIDN'T BRING BACK NS3 I WAS GONNA STAGE A DAMN REBELLION AND SUE KBS FOR 8 MILLION DOLLARS I am SO DAMn ENTHUSED ABOUT THIS I LOVE IT SO DAMN MUCH THIS ENDING IS EVERYTHING I WANTED I WAS SO WORRIED

I'm Alli ^^;;; Have been since I started playing~~~ A very long time ago~~~ I do have a Horde 110 DH though! (my main is actually a druid but I've been loving my lock so much lately I can't stop playing her!)
I'm on episode 49 and I'm really mad they made my girl blind. I used to like her, but now I find her annoying.…
Lmao, this show has been my "levelling" show. Every time I sit down to watch the day's episodes I hop onto my warlock so that I'll at least be somewhat entertained during my mindless questing. But anyway, yeah. That pairing is annoying me. I'd rather see a tragic ending for both of them than see the affection he's showing for her that seems completely out of obligation rather than love.
Wow... Shin and NS3 were arguing with each other and I completely forgot it was just one actor talking to himself. He's really impressing me in this drama, gotta say.
As much as I like Zhan Bei Ye and his actor, sometimes his facial expressions are *out of this world* hilarious. Just so ridiculously over the top. It's great.
I finally started watching this after considering it numerous times because I forgot about all of the "it gets bad" comments. Now I'm too enraptured by Ji Chang Wook's beauty to stop. Looks like I'm on a one-way train to disappointment.
Been watching for this drama coz I can't move on and been craving for dramas like Ten Miles Of Peach Blossom and…
My first instinct is to mention Lan Ling Wang. (Prince of Lan Ling) IIRC, it has about the same amount of fantasy as Legend of Fu Yao, with a good mix of romance and action. To me it had that same sort of addictive quality as TMOPB. It's a very pretty drama.
I would also *highly* recommend Lost Love in Times, another romantic fantasy historical. It was GORGEOUS, and the leads are some of the best. The chemistry between them is insane, and the romance is sweet and sort of tragic and beautiful. It actually sort of reminds me of TMOPB plot-wise, and it's definitely one of my favourites. The leads are both badass when it comes to combat, and there's quite a bit of action. This is another one with a decent amount of fantasy, but there not too much to the point where it's CGI everywhere all of the time.
If you end up liking the lead actress in Lost Love in Times, you might want to watch some of her other dramas- Scarlet Heart isn't a wuxia, but it's kind of a legend in the C-drama world. Sound of the Desert was also pretty good. So was Imperial Doctress. I'm just really Cecilia Liu biased, actually. Whoops.
I've been thinking this the entire time but I really just gotta say it. Ji Yeong Hoon. Really good bros with Shin, or secretly in love with him? It's been bugging me this entire time, but the way he acts around NS3, the way he treats Ye Na, his utter devotion to Shin... it'd be be bold and unexpected for a kdrama, I know, but I just can't shake it.
THE SCENE IN THE BATH WAS SO GOOD!?!?!? The fact they're basically stripping each other, the kissing, and the fact that they're fighting the entire time? So damn good!!!
"I told you to hide- why can't you be a good girl?" "The good girl is the one that's passed out on the floor."
DAMN FUYAO YOU GO GIRL
Then their twirly fighting-off-assassins choreo? This is a real power couple, ladies and gents
I legit could not care less that he is a robot! I don't care! Oh my god, if him and So Bong don't end up together I'm literally going to stage a rebellion idgaf nobody can stop me, they are meant to be
Is Dilraba decent in this? I'm desperate for a gorgeous Chinese historical, but she really doesn't seem like a lead actor imo. She has a cutesy mousey look that I'm not a huge fan of.
Even though I know he isn't even the second male lead, I can't help but ship Fu Yao and the doctor. They haven't even had many scenes together, I just flippin' love that character to death and want him to have a romance! That being said, Zhan BAE Ye, amirite?! Those eyes! His reactions to things are always the funniest too. As much as I love the lead, he has some stiff competition. For real.

*cough*
That was a good drama. I really liked it. 9/10.

(Also, yeah, it's really freaking sad)
