Forgettable. I started watching this movie and it took me until adding it to my list to realize that I'd seen it before. "Hey, I guess some of those scenes WERE kinda familiar...."
That was good. Love Park Shi Hoo, and this has made me like Moon Chae Won a bit more than I did. Sweeping historicals like his always leave me with good feels. Also I finished this drama in about 3 days. SO THERE'S THAT.
OMG RIGHT AFTER HIS FATHER DIES AND HE FINDS OUT WHO SHE IS HOLY CRAP I'M DYING SOS
In other news, this drama is pretty >_>
Edit 1 day later, to avoid spamming: WHEN THE ARROWS FLY AND FIRST HER FATHER AND THEN HER AND THE LOOK ON EVERYBODY'S FACES OH MY GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING I'M DYING
88 and 94 still piss me off to this day. The endings pissed me off so badly that I haven't even watched the episodes- I've just read episode reviews. 1994 is the worst though. It'd be one thing if the second leads were given a proper send-off, but as they're just sort of pushed to the side and forgotten about. For dramas that are otherwise brilliant, the way they handled those characters was just sad.
Dream High was something different though. It may have had something to do with people's exposure to KSH at the time though- Taecyeon was without a doubt more well known, and he seemed so obvious. But throughout the drama I feel like the audience had a chance to fall in love with Sam Dong and Kim Soo Hyun together with Hye Mi's character. It was something really new for dramas, where most of the time you already have some love for the male lead already.
As much as I love Kim Woo Bin, I don't have very high hopes for his new drama. The plot sounds weak.
On the other hand, I was just reminded that Moon Lovers is happening this year and I died of excitement a little bit. I honestly cannot wait for that, it's going to be wonderful.
Also, nothing on Jang Geun Suk's new drama? D:
I am disappoint.
So sweet, so adorable, so short, so great.
Seriously, this drama was able to pack in more content then some 20 episode dramas in a charming little attractive package. Kim Seul Gi was already one of absolute favourite actresses, but Yoon Doo Joon is definitely on my radar now as well.
This was just a joy to watch.
Nearly a scene-by-scene remake of the original, but worth watching.
The major difference, I'd say, is soul. This one left significantly less of an emotional impact on me. At the end, I was waiting for that punch of sadness or happiness or bitter sweetness that the original offered, but it just felt really lacking to me.
They don't even have a companion to the Kim Soo Hyun scene from Miss Granny :(
Had a huge break arouhd episode 15 and I've been struggling to get through the rest after coming back. ZZZZZzzzzZZZ. Resorted to watching it with the sound nearly off while watching youtube videos.
I'm watching Madame Antoine right now, and I feel like SUCH a baddie because I adore Sung Joon's character. I love his specific type of assholeishness (is that a word?). I mean, yes, I fall for the typical Gu Jun Pyo jerky types, but Sung Joon's character is just a confused, logic-driven mess that doesn't know what to do with his emotions. I appreciate and understand that of a character, and I really can't hate him for it.
As for Arang and the Magistrate, that drama was just a mess in general; rude beautiful man notwithstanding.
I didn't find Seo Ji Sub's character in Master's Sun TOO bad, honestly. Definitely wouldn't be in my top 10 list for jerks.
I want to give this drama a 10/10 because I just finished it, but I gotta chill.
Oh my god.
Okay.
So I honestly wish so badly the last episode was spread out into like, 2 episodes? I want Qingchuan reminiscing over the princes, what they did after she left, I want a good explanation for what the HELL happened with eighth prince's spontaneous time travel, and more than anything I want to see his face when she explains she was a goshdarned time traveller, and also his subsequent mental breakdown.
That last tearful smile though. Feng Shao Feng, you beautiful beautiful bastard
I've had this on hold for few years and today I tried to continue it. Encountered the same problem why I put it…
Hm... well if you're desperate, and you have Google Chrome, then you could technically download the VPN extension 'Hola' and set it to somewhere in North America whenever you want to watch it. No confirmation as to whether it would work or not, but I can't see why it wouldn't.
Came here to post about something Boys Over Flowers-y that I saw in episode 23 only to see that in August of last year I posted about the same subject. Damn. That's what happens when you procrastinate finishing dramas xD
Anyway, episode 23, the eighth prince does the grab-the-wrong-girl-and-walk-away thing that also happened in BoF. Classic.

I'd say that's better than this, though. I actually enjoyed it.
Also, Rooftop Prince!!!!

Also, I HATE doppleganger plotlines.
