mdl sucks so bad, a 7.6 rating just because it took so long to get subs, and now it's stuck that way. For anyone who hasn't watched this yet, this is a very good drama. 9/10
The irony is that his best project was The K2.After that, it went all downhill for him, and this time he's back…
Have to disagree with you. Not only in no way do I feel the K2 was his best work, but I also believe he especially shines in comedic roles (among others).
That ending.... hmm. Not sure how I feel about it. There were a lot of positives about this drama. The vibe was awesome. Actors were spot on. I think the writing left a lot to be desired. And I wish Eui Jung was not in this.
My thoughts exactly. Tbh you could tell it was a male writer attempting to write romance (or whatever the hell you'd want to call this dysfunctional dragging love square). And failing miserably. This drama was great until episode 8 when the relationship drama became heavy.
As an avid fan of this drama I found myself skipping through most of Lee Chung Ah's scenes with the ML. Cannot stand forced "other woman" drama and those scenes also felt like filler. Hoping episode 4 is better
I really wanted to like this drama because I like SF9, but I just can't watch it. It's so bad. I dropped it after…
Rowoon's character was pretty stiff in the beginning...but it improves a lot in the second half. He is a really good expressive actor, not sure why he took the wooden acting that far in the beginning. An attempt at character development I guess. But I agree overall this drama was a mess.
What is with these black scene cuts they're starting to leave in dramas? They're in Worst of Evil too except there they were really choppy. I hope this isn't becoming a thing
I think most negative reviews are from people who dropped it on ep 1or 3 , who were expecting it to be a rom com…
Wasn't expecting a romcom, just something watchable. The script felt like minimal effort had been put in. Acting was bland and rudimentary. Everything was bland except the cinematography.
I'm trying to understand Joonmo's character development, so maybe someone can help clarify. He never even started out as "good," right? It seemed like he was known as a somewhat crooked /violent cop who'd beat people up that he was arresting. But during his interrogation in episode 7 he taunted the other crooked cop by telling him he should be ashamed of himself for acting like that. (Or was he just trying to provoke him?) So which side was he on to start with? It seems to me like he always had an evil streak but the operation is just bringing it out in him?
What happened to the writing in kdramas, where did all the best writers go? The ones who could craft addictive stories like the ones from 2016 and earlier. It's like the writing is so much about speed and quantity over quality now.
