I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like this so far. The writing is not doing it for me. Seems like it's trying way too hard to be funny and the leads feel wasted here.
Why do people think that movies must be all happy stories and have happy ends? Movies are stories on screen and…
The ending doesn't have to be happy but it does have to make sense and feel satisfying in a way. All those movies you mentioned have sad yet satisfying endings wrapped up beautifully in a way that makes it all worth while. In general Korea hasn't seemed to master this. They are still black and white and think sad endings equals breaking our hearts into a million pieces just for the sake of it and we're just supposed to sit back and take it.
Finally had a chance to finish. Ok the repeated amnesia was a bit much. But this writer sure knows how to string watchers along to the very end, I'll give her that, even if she gets a bit tropey or cliche. I didn't feel any episodes were dragging and couldn't stop watching to the very end. I thought part 1 was better but I still really enjoyed part 2. Going to miss this couple.
Yeah, after some rethinking that's so true..It really doesn't feel like real gangsters or real people for that…
Even JCW said he thought the name worst of evil didn’t fit the drama. I found some episodes pretty brilliant and riveting but others incredibly lackluster. And on the whole the script could have been so much more, especially when it came to realism and characterization. The writer was hyperfocused on plot here.
Hoping if he accepts that this is an upward trend now of JCW choosing better projects! Since Healer nothing of his really hooked me, until Sound of Magic and Worst of Evil was good too. This one sounds promising!
As much as I adore this drama I cannot stand Lee Chung Ah's addition to the cast and performance in this season. Among other things she almost can't talk through her fillers and it's so distracting in every scene she's in.
I thought episodes 9-12 were phenomenal (the episodes focusing on the parents' relationships). The rest was ok but not great. Excellent writing and production, but the rest just didn't really hook me.
