My issue with the drama is DC and WL deaths. I took it as like the OG first life in the book, being rewritten here where DC really did marry WS and died and BZ took revenge by killing WS thus, WL didn’t exist either. They didn’t even show XC mourning for her or anything, just like giving WL importance then rushing towards the HE.

XC dreams instead of being reborn, the political issues were condensed, the entire essence of the plot is there but different. WS ends up traveling with his wife and daughter instead of uniting the states and becoming the emperor like in the book.

I manage to finish this after my last comment somewhere lol, and overall, compared to the book, everything is toned down and it wasn’t just WS like many suspected in the comment section when this drama hadn’t aired yet. WY wasn’t as ‘lost’ as he was in the book finale, SEH involvement in his family was changed, and even 2 people died unnecessarily. I remember saying plots were combined and scenes being placed earlier than they should be which was fine bc no one can fit every single detail in an adaptation of a book. This is unfortunately bias from reading the book first but honestly the drama itself is fine.

I seriously need all the OSTs out right now!

After waiting for so long, I honestly have to agree with this as an unpopular opinion lol. The opening makes it seem like JJY-JZ cp which I see a bit more than JJY-TJR as of current. The CDL-JZ cp is really selling more than JJY-TJR.

I’m actually giggling to this particular comment threads bc same lol. I don’t mean that I have read Mo Li, I’m saving that for when the drama comes out and if I like it enough, I’ll start the book with a peace of mind, I wouldn’t nitpick too much about the drama vs book. it’s like Blossom, many loved it but few read the book bc it’s 500+ ch. I remember I was die hard fan of The Eternal Love and I can tell you, it’s 5900 chaps and I only got to finish half and it’s bc I read it after watching the drama trying to find where S3 is before dropping bc I was too tired. 😂
