So, I haven’t watched the full eps nor do I remember much about the og version but i do however have some memory of the wedding scene, so I took a sneak peak at ep 12 and it wasn’t too bad but not good either.
Do I still prefer Weir/Min’s wedding? Yes, it was more comedic when Chalit came out all clean shaved, with a new hair cut and dressed properly for his wedding right at the wedding door and Pin up on the stairs and everyone else was in shock. It helped that they already have an established cp before hand so it wasn’t too awkward.
This version wedding is more ‘modernised’ and i have to block my eyes and ears trying not to cringe badly at this pairing unfortunately. In terms of the plot, it’s ok, I’m biased but I guess if people were to start this fresh without looking at the og version or those die hard fans who can digest it a lot better than me might find it a lot more enjoyable.

Not many is a 3rd cp fan but as an avid reader, gifting those books as dowry is a dream come true, and I would be stuck there all day lol. There wasn’t much of them to begin with in the book but I do like seeing them.

if you can tolerate an almost ‘love triangle’. this is coming from a fan of the hit drama Destined with the same book author. it’s very different and only for those who can 100% not think of whacking the 2nd ml aka SRQ.

Hit success after Joy of Life maybe? Using the same actor and actress who were siblings into a cp was a little weird but I actually liked it, not too bad, I honestly thought its like an AR to JoL though I wasn’t actually expecting it to be in the top 5 lol.
Off topic: you can tell the chem has changed once JoL S2 began or it was written that way idk, there was literally no interactions between the siblings in S2.

Ep 30 today is it for me. This is the highlight of the entire drama. Her battle scenes and especially the realisation of who her father was and the comfort she got from XZ.
I am seriously regretting reading the novel starting 10 episodes ago because the drama continues to be underwhelming…
I was trying to save it for last but ended up reading it bc I keep (habitually) clicking onto the spoilers lol and half talks about it so I challenged myself to try and it failed 😂😂 I think when it comes to airing dramas, you have to leave it last, or you’ll start nitpicking, unless it’s indefinitely shelved (like people were doing for The Prisoner of Beauty including me) you get a little leeway if the drama airs out bc then you can binge both. It’s a double edged sword whatever you do lol
