the start of a new era?? 😂 bxg romances have always been toxic since they’ve been around for a long time, and many books that have been bought for adaptation from years ago were most likely written dramatically as the demographic calls for it back then, they’re just becoming a lot more conservative since more people are now tired of this kind of plot and are more supportive of ‘healthy’ relationships ie women empowerment.

bl especially the Chinese ones have only just started coming out in recent years, some are adaptations of bl books that are written from long ago with toxic elements that they can’t really rewrite and some bls are bought rewritten to make it bromance instead lol i guess they have bigger budget for that. there isn’t many uncensored bl Chinese ones so it skews the bl men vs woman empowerment romance dramas a bit. I reckon they’ll be a phase where they make this type of toxic bl bc it just emotionally provokes you to watch just like straight romances once did long ago.

Ohsweethaven have updated the total eps to 34 as of current, by the time ep one aired, it was still listed as 10 so I just forgot mdl submits the wrong ones sometimes too 😂

it would not work out if it really was 10 eps and that was my concern. these days, lakorns are now 30-40 minutes and no longer twice as long like before. honestly the plot picked up in ep 3 and 4 a little, but it’s ‘fast paced’ in my opinion. they didn’t linger much on the wedding scenes and then just went straight into the action scenes.

I agree it’s dated, not sure about the og book though, I was expecting action scenes like the other ch5 lakorns years ago lol
