Very fast paced, Yakuza x infighting x revenge.

What I hate about BLs in general is the lack of minutes and episodes. Everything is too short, and resolves quickly unfortunately. This type of plot could’ve been more fleshed out, more into the Yakuza, more relationship screen time, more complex and twisted dealings with the Yakuza. Now that S2 is here, I feel that one has a lot more potential than S1 which is all about the ‘revenge’. Not too bad but not too good either.

That’s one messy 3some turned broom fight with extra blood on the side to the shake. 🤣🤣

He showed up at his guard’s grave one day to pay his respects and left his Fengyi Commander Token there so he’s literally disappearing. YS tracked him down at the grave and tried convincing him to come back with her, he didn’t want to bc the Gu poison was advancing, he had a mask on at all times as it was showing on his face and didn’t want to trouble her with court matters since his ‘family’ rebelled, that’s really it.

It kinda hints that he might probably go into the palace with her maybe.

Ep 15 and 24 has got to be the best. 🤣

WRC has finally got the girl after so long! That wedding was double kill.

Yes, he came in and saved him AFTER the guards told him he looks dead by the door and he, himself only just arrived, they did not seem to rush to update JMX when they first found him hanging with said injuries, nor took him down to check his breathing, called 120, or have a doc on standby with JMX knowing someone kidnapped him. They are guards. They’re supposed to be quick on their feet, have skills to serve as arms and legs to the employer. There’s way too many guards in dramas just bluntly only following the master’s words forgetting their purpose. Screenwriters keep writing it that way and it’s annoying just to make JMX look like the hero saving his lover by taking him off those chains. A second longer, and SM could really be dead.

I once took a sneak peek at a drama where the first episode features the tradition of families eating the deceased remains. 🤣 Nothing against this, it just wasn’t for me bc it was so morbid and I wasn’t ready for it lol! I’ve even come across this ‘recent’? use of water cremation and I find it quite fascinating that it’s even an alternate option these days than the usual embalming and cremation, especially since that famous sub implosion a couple of years ago looking for the titanic. I wonder how less expensive it is than the promised AC to Qingliangshan. 🤣

The first 3 episodes was amazing. GQL showing off his comedy skills and the casts did a good job with their roles alongside him, teamwork and mentorship is overflowing 👍🏼😅, and I was honestly perplexed like the rest of them, why WC just let his father, up and leave him to Beijing literally right then and there at his internship. ik ik perks of being the boss’s son but he seems quite passionate about funeral work, he almost look lost right after without his friends. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Edit: The second half of the drama was what I’m talking about. Everything from the embalming fluids, the processes and the care and arrangements to even ep 9 - 10 finale was perfect (miniature creature born where?? that was intense, I was crying & smiling at the same time like crazy!!). Each case was also emotional with every send off.

Anyhow, looking forward to the rest of these 10 eps, wished it was longer. I’m also glad to see familiar castings especially Zheng Wei appearing on screen again! It’s been a long long time since Young Blood as part of the main casts.

Edit: Goodnight to the rest of you, I surely enjoyed this journey bc I paid 3x when I’m broke. Who said no one would watch such a drama?? 🤣
