Not necessarily. I can’t either. I was talking about how at least he doesn’t feel too lost because he chose to leave in the book which he hasn’t done here. Whether or not he might turn into a good person, I guess we’ll see in the future.
Her: Hands water, sits close. Him: Lays down his robe for her to sit on. Her: Eats the bread in his hand. Him: It’s not for you to eat. Her: *chews* *instant regret* Him: I told you.
So a lot of things happened in today’s episode. Wei Yan was being all ishy but then turned around and even though I know how he was in the book, I’m glad they turned his character this way here. He is no longer as ‘lost’ as before.
There are many moments I loved in episode 17 between the couple and the generals.
they are! I watch it on there only because they upload quickly. my iPhone or I think it might have been google translate and chrome lets me highlight the text when I pause the video and translate it which has been a little more helpful but annoying. I’m used to not having the luxury of great subs because I’m always google translating so many other Chinese books these days lol. on a good day when everything is released, I’m going to binge watch from start to finish.
Ok guys I’ve finally caught up. Ep 20 & 21 was very powerful.
XHY getting face slapped and reality checked was cruel but necessary. He really needed that.
We finally get to see PS personaliy interrogating someone. XXN failed love story and PS ‘In this life, you may never get to meet someone like him’.
That tension rising between LWZ and PS of the impeding issues they still haven’t talked about in the car.
Actually this parent meeting afterwards was sort of weird lol. LWZ steered his mum away and then PS was immediately casted out by the dad. I was expecting more with his dad’s love for cats (he had Yiguo on his head) but they made him more stern and cautious even as far as to tell LWZ about how he should be cautious around PS which was obviously the final straw in which he decided to leave.
21 was the cream of the cake. LWZ chasing after PS. Then Du Jia came out looking like a gangsta with the wrench in his hand. Bro could have gotten arrested for doing that in front of a police officer lol.
Now this final confession scene was wow. Look was Yiguo even purring? It even wanted the milk in PS hand.
LWZ ‘I realised you still wouldn’t be crooked even without me’ and wanting to make up for lost time to help PS through this dark times and PS finally opening up. That was way beyond what awesome is.
Was that a new ost intro?
Then the montage of PS being sus to try trick his feelings, omg.
The boy writing his story, and the camera edits for this scene was nice. What I didn’t like was how they just arrested the bullies just like that. It was too easy, I don’t think this scene was supposed to be like this in the book but at least have the kids resist arrest or something ya know?
What I liked about this episode the most apart from the leads was the end meeting Wang Xiao. Her sharply pulling the curtains to meet PS and XHY face to face and then telling them her insecurities about herself, her family and XHY stepping up to encourage her not to give up.
XHY ‘No one wanted to play with me as a child, my relationship with colleagues isn’t that great, when my parents divorced, my dad told my mum to take me away as to reduce his burden and offered extra money. I felt useless. Then, you see, I entered SID. One day, I got home from work and saw a thief. I wanted to catch him but he escaped in the end. I still want to continue, life is long and maybe one day, it will change and get better’.
could be both? I feel like it might be too early to judge. he was a good cousin when he was introduced and as…
the trailer seems to portray something of that sort. they were suppose to have a misunderstanding because of him but it might not be in the next couple of episodes. it almost feels like there’s angst coming after all this happiness development lol
end of ep 11: is he testing her or is he really cunning?
could be both? I feel like it might be too early to judge. he was a good cousin when he was introduced and as we read further into the book, things happened and he broke away from the family. because of his identity issues, he had to stand against the Wei family but was never really able to do it.
ugh Su E Huang and Wei Yan. I’m glad to see him again after Joy of Life but it looks like they’re gonna make his character a lot more despicable. It jars me sometimes to see how he even acts somewhat like his former character. The teasers for tomorrow with XQ whacking WS is gonna be fun ah!
My favourite quote for this episode.
Him: Doesn’t know how to date.
Mural of the story: Create a sense of panic to make a person realise their feelings towards the other person.
Y’all have no idea how depressed I was today. Literally cried 30 mins before airing time and only these episodes get me through day by day.
Him: Lays down his robe for her to sit on.
Her: Eats the bread in his hand.
Him: It’s not for you to eat.
Her: *chews*
*instant regret*
Him: I told you.

‘The jade was a gift passed from grandfather to grandmother, to Wei Shao, to me and back to grandmother, but this jade is from Wei Shao to me’.
Ah!
I actually quite like where Wei Yan character is going.
The next teasers are going to be even sweeter. Meow.

PS: Appreciate 21 being 50 mins long.
Honestly I’m surprised myself on how WY was coming off as soon as he entered the house and walked to his grandmother
