So much so.. that he lost it completely and went onto become a real mafia lord to fill the void of not being able to have Big J
and since big j has little j, Dan went crazy and went for the next best thing available to copy BJ ---- get LJ's best friend
Yup! That's exactly what is happening
Dan, where are you??? tell me i am right.... your real crush is most definitely not LJ or even his friend in the post this series universe of LUST ..lol
An interesting analysis about the intimate scene at the end of episode 8 (and I share the same opinion about this)…
this is precisely what is wrong with the last scene in ep 8... it is all LJ's perspective.
We as viewers have seen his pain, him waiting in that appartment, him trying and apologizing again and again.. and him at his lowest finally finding out the BJ still loves him
AND HIS SIDE OF THE STORY WAS ALWAYS CLEAR. We understood the 1st time ep 8 played.
Problem is on the other side BJ - where is the emotional payoff? this is the part which fell flat. Where is his yearning, his fear of losing LJ, him believing that LJ would stay, him being coaxed into that confidence that he is accepted - completely.... COMPLETELY MISSING.. felt like just another day BJ walking upon LJ and making out
this was supposed to be an emotional catharsis.. angst peaking and exploding into happy water bombs..
logically yes.. seems like that's were story will go in terms of BJ's character development.. he understands what…
i know.. if u committ to love then just commit, accepting what you don't like in the person
making them change for you, ultimately, is a cop out.. and just.. equivalent of how a girl falls for a guy but that guy will always turn out to be some rich heir ( are we sayign women only love rich men.. NO.. so LJ should just accept BJ for who he is and move on)
Just let the dude have his side hustle. He obviously enjoys it. It’s not like lil’ Jane didn’t know what…
logically yes.. seems like that's were story will go in terms of BJ's character development.. he understands what LJ is saying and stops the side hustle completly
https://x.com/teehengarchive/status/2088641614608757158This pretty much sums up why we have been feeling the way…
but the problem with that entire scene is not even NC so much... it is the emotional build up where they fkd up.. had the emotional build up and release through the argument satisfied audience then even a mildest suggestive NC would have worked
No one said anything about any of the NC scenes aired to that.. because emotionally they land
I don't know why everyone wants to make it about NC and basically drown the genuine feedback that director MESSED UP THIS SCENE BIG TIME. If he has a different interpretation, then he should come out and say... BUT HE DOESN't because dialogues are same as book and situations are same.
All through the episode, director has made choices that shows that Jamie is very alike JP.
1. He wears v liners 2. He likes racing cars 3. really looks upto JP which .. brings me to the point on yearning for an emotional family connection
what JP doesn't have and Jamie doesn't have. As soon as he comes on screen, we are told that JP and dad , both don't spend enough time with him and it were the maids who engaged him. Dad felt burdened to visit hospital. JP tenses as soon as dad is mentioned
AND JAMIE CRIED in his sleep asking LJ to not leave him like mother. WHY LJ? why not JP, why not hallucinate mom herself
We also know that JP has talked about LJ a LOT with Jamie. Jamie is a sharp child and also can sense mood changes in JP when he talks about LJ. How fondly he does... that's why from get go jamie knows that LJ is special to BJ too. **************************************** At the restuarant, when LJ and JP were kind of arguing.. part of it could be that Jamie ate the sweets knowing fully well what will happen just so he could stop the argument. OR more probable, he was behaving like a kid would do who has seen a lot of parents fighting all his life - tune out, look for sthg to distract... he probably even meant to check at home first if sweets were safe to have.. but he just tuned off then looking for a distraction from the escalating argument...
JP being good at psychology. this series including psychology. I think director has done a good job to keep psychological themes always at play in every situation.
The fear, very much like JP, is that LJ will leave... and HE IS THE ONLY PERSON in both of their lives who is so warm, caring.. truly a mother figure.
*************************** WHICH TAKES ME BACK TO EP 6, bed talk
"What kind of life you imagined with me" "Daily, ordinary life"
and BJ cried
now that hits different because in his society, it is the one thing which is not valued WHILE each one in their society badly yearns for it.... very weird setup of ultra rich society (that's why BJ also actually likes LJ's parents)
You promised me to spend the night together... and now you are absconding.. more so since that zombie came back
You owe me Jane Patrick. A promise is a promise!

MISSED OPPORTUNITY
that's what i am saying
that you are red flag and i am colorblind is BJ singing to LJ
and since LJ is the red flag, we have every other male character falling for him. Seductive max.
lol.. just joking.. we have a boy with insane allure, beauty. A total siren. But is too bogged down by his middle class upbringing to use the allure
because apparently little Jane has steamy makeouts concluding into sx only when someone gets admitted into hospital
bwahahahahaha
it is such an awesome song
it is literal flutter - betrayal - major angst - HE HE HE
making them change for you, ultimately, is a cop out.. and just.. equivalent of how a girl falls for a guy but that guy will always turn out to be some rich heir ( are we sayign women only love rich men.. NO.. so LJ should just accept BJ for who he is and move on)
so do that.... take favour from someone who is in the same market and JP's competitor. He may actually make this contract.. ha ha ha
he can always resign and leave.. and you would have killed poor jamie.. he has enough bullies at shcool already,

who writes such juvenile lyrics
WAS I WRONG.. this is bop of the year
i have a very interesting observation to make
