Such a let down. When I read the synopsis I was so hyped to start watching this series, but midway episode 6 it just got so boring. I kept watching just to see where it would lead, and I can say it was not that worth it. The story, characters and soundtrack are good (I'll give it that) but the rest is quite bad. First, the acting: how could they make the characters so.... bland. Honestly the acting was such a turn off for me. If everything was atrocious except the acting, I would rate this series higher, but that was not the case. Second, the chemistry: the "lead couple" had zero chemistry. None. Zilch. Nada. I really think the two actors were really unconfortable while doing cute and skinship type of things. I could not see them together at all after. Third, the editing: awful. Poorly made. Different scenes were tosses next to each other without a back line to explain what was happening, messing with the whole flow of the show. The entire thing felt like a bunch of random scenes. Fourth, too many irrelevant characters: there were 2 more "couples" that I think if you put together their screen time for the entire show, it would be like 10mins tops. It was really unecessary to include 2 more couples just for them to appear once or twice per episode with 3 lines. There were a lot of things that annoyed me about this show, but it's not entirely bad. I think if you like something more of a bros thing and is looking for something light, you can give this show a try (but in my opinion, the bad acting destroys everything lol)
Had such a great time watching this show on the watch party Bistro Kino Club!! This show made us happy, angry, warm, sad, hungry and all the other emotions humans can feel lol. I think everyone deserves a Tanaka on their lives to tell them ganbare. A few tears were dropped on most episodes, so be aware of that. Highly recommend!
I just finished it and I have a couple questions. Who is that guy that Xiang is talking to, I mean it’s Yu Zi…
My theory is that Hao Ting is hallucinating Xi Gu on that person he met at a hiking once. Because the voice is not Xi Gu's voice, neither is the attitude of that person, but bcs Hao Ting couldn't forget Xi Gu, his subcouncious decided to hallucinate
I feel so left out because I didn't like both films T^T. This one I couldn't even finish, I fell asleep 2 times while watching, so I gave up. Maybe some day I'll finish it and appreciate the movie like most people did, but today is not the day.
Well, it's not a bad ending.... but it's also not a good one lol. It still leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions, which a few are answered on Mood Indigo. I think it's up for the viewer to determinate wether the ending is to their taste or not. (I personaly enjoyed the ending, but I know a lot of people who didin't).
Don't know how I feel about this one. I didn't enjoy it at all lol. Almost feel asleep two times while watching. It doesn't bother me slow paced movies (I quite like it), but this one was another level of slow. The acting too was kinda weird to me and the soundtrack was almost non-existent. I'll watch the sequel just because I don't like to leave things unfinished, but my expectations are really low.
I really don't understand why people are talking bad about this movie, but okay. I maight be a little biased because I love Yoneda's Kou mangas, and Doushitemo Furetakunai is one of my favourites. The movie is very faithful to the manga which I was really happy about. The only difference is that in the manga you can see for how long they were actually together, as in the movie it feels like they were together only for a few days. The film is indead slow paced with a dark tone to it, not being to everyone's taste, but I find it beautiful. What I love about japanese productions is that the actors communicate more with their eyes and little actions rather than long ass dialogues explaining the whole thing. That's why I think microexpressions are so much more interesting, it makes you pay attention to every expression that they make so that you can understand what they are thinking and feeling. It's not a movie I would recommend to everybody, as many find it boring, but if you like a slower movie with a simple story, go for it.
I watched this back in 2017 and was not impressed. Now I've watched it again and was really hoping for a second season, but bcs it's China, we're never gonna get it. The story was nice overall, the acting was good too but what made me continue to watch was the cute animals in it. I watched all in one day and honestly, after that last episode it felt like a really waste of my time. At least the actors were pretty
It was fine I guess. Nothing mind blowing or new. It was funny and short with a few cute scenes, but I found myself cringing at some points. It's nice to watch in one day when you have nothing else to watch. Don't really know why there's gonna be a season 2 but I'll watch it lol
Can I just ask what is it about the language that you don't like? Is it the code switching thing? Since beside…
It's not that I don't like it. It was more of like because I've never watched anything from the Filipines, I didn't know how it would sound like. I actually found really pretty their language but kinda difficult to follow or learn. But I will for sure watch more dramas form there (I'm even jamming to some Filipino songs now and I'm loving it lol)
WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO WATCH THIS??!! I've been seeing people talk about this show left and right but I was so against it just because of the language. I know, it's a stupid reason, but I've never watched anything from the Filipinas so I was really afraid that not only the language would seem weird to me but also the acting, music (we gonna talk more about that later) and production of the show. And oh my god I was so wrong. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE PRECIOUS GEMS THAT WILL FOREVER STAY IN YOUR HEART. I feel in love with this series right on the first episode. Really, this series has everything, it was funny, sad, dramatic, lively, it talks about the fear of coming to terms with ones sexuality and a lot of other stuffs. The acting was really good, I loved all the characters and I just wanted to protect Karl from the world, the production was nice as well, the story was a bit cliche at the beginning but it turned into something amazing at the end, the scenary even tho most of the time they were on the apartament, it had some really nice shots, and the music..... honestly, the music was what made this show 200% times better. The OST was fenomenal, I'm for sure gonna add them to my playlist and listen to it all day long. This one definitely entered on my Top10 BL's and I highly recommend it to everyone. Hope there's gonna be a season 2 bcs I'll miss this one!
Ikr, I literally stared at the screen for like 5 minutes until I processed what happened
Yes!! His love became an ugly obsession, it was kind of ridiculous for me. And Tar... man I went on a full roller coaster with him. At the begining I had pity of him and really wanted to know why he was so sad, then after we have that whole thing where he wants to break Tharn and Type up, then I just wanted to slap his face and began hating him. But then we see that it was all Lhong's fault and that poor Tar actually went through A LOT of traumatic stuff. After that I felt bad for hating him and started to love him lol
You're judging people based on a opinion on a series. lol okay :)
