Honestly, I felt so bad for the king. He was madly in love with the Chief ever since he was a kid and got betrayed (yes, groomer behaviour, but I'm gonna skip this fact). The King could not sleep with his Queen, so in order to cease the pressure for an heir, the King decided to make an arrangement between the Queen and the Chief. Now, why did he choose the Chief, whom he has an affair, to be the one to sleep with the Queen? Because the King truly believed that the Chief would never betray him and that he would always only love the King. Unfortunately that was not the case. The Queen and the Chief fell in love with each other and continued to meet even when the King ceased the previously arrangement. When the king found out about that, he went completly mad with jealousy. He loved and was obsessed with the Chief. He tried several times to persuade the Chief to come back to him, he even promised him that if he could forget about the Queen and come back to him, he would give him the palace. But the Chief refused. At the end, when they are fighting, the King asks the Chief "did you ever though of me as your love?", and the Chief answers no. I trully believe he is lying. He was mad at the King because he thought he killed the Queen, so in order to hurt even more the King, he said no. I think the Chief did love the King, but not with the same intensity as the King did for him. That's why at the end, when he sees that the Queen is alive, he turns his head to the King. That's what I think lol.
A beautiful yet very sad movie. I feel like watching this movie for the second time makes things more clear. This film is gorgeous, so well made. The costumes, music, acting, story, the action scenes and the sex scenes were so well made. There's at least 6 or 7 powerful sex scenes, so don't watch this next to your parents lol.
What a show!! Being completly honest, I only came for the BL, but midway the series I totally forgot this was supposed to be a BL and just focused on the story. It was soo good!! I was so intrigued at what happened to Mes that I was even creating my own theories while watching. The characters where so nice as well, but the MVP was Thun's mom. That woman was wonderful, she understood and stayed by Thun's side even when he was insecure about himself. The soundtrack was what made this show a lot more sadder than it already is. The lyrics and the melody of every song were so beautiful. The ending did not please me very much, but nothing too aggravating lol. But what I really loved about this series is how it always remembers us that life is short and unpredictable, that we will never know when it will all just end, so we have to live every day to the fullest. I highly recommend this series, even for the people who don't usually watch BL.

I agree with you. I only watched this because the rating was very high compared to other series on my list and bcs I saw a lot of people saying how much they love this show. But honestly, I couldn't see where the love for this series came from. The acting was so bad that I couldn't even concentrate on the story anymore. A lot of people said that season 2 is better, but I haven't gathered enough courage to go watch it yet lol

Oh yes, paper towels is a must when watching BL XD I learned my lesson and now have a full roll of toilet paper near my bed lol. That scene on the beach made no sense to me, it was uncalled for. But I think that every BL has those scenes that you just go like "why did they include this in here?" lol.
Honestly, I think this movie is one of those that the more you watch it the more you will start to like it, so I might give it another try sometime soon.
And gurl.... Kang's torso.... man, I screamed on that scene lol it was a feast for the eyes. I think what made me finish the movie was that scene and the soundtrack, the songs were really nice.

So nice to hear different points of view!! I love music as well but I just feel like art and music have become such a saturated topic in BL, so I'm tired of seeing always the same thing. In this show I really liked the characters. Their essence was nice, but the execution did not please me so much. And I also adored the MC, he was very likeable, but that was not enough (for me) to save the show. But I disagree on the topic of their chemistry being natural lol as I said before, in my opinion, they were better off as friends than boyfriends. I love discussing series with people who has different points of views from me, so thank you for commenting!
Did Korea really just made a BL series with more than one kiss in one episode??? Am I hearing progress??! Jokes aside, I'm really happy with how this drama was delivered, the story was good, the characters were gorgeous, the acting was really nice, it didn't feel forced at all and you could feel their chemistry together. The only down side for me is how short it is. Why can't they make k-BL just a little bit longer? It is a bit rushed, making some parts confusing, but I think when they release the movie version maybe we can get a more complete story. Would totally re-watch this on my spare time :)
I know no one is forcing me to watch. I'm sorry if I came off rude in my comment, I was just venting out my frustrations concerning the movie announcement, as I was hoping it would be a new story of them lol. But I'm curious to see how they're going to put 18 episodes together into a movie + hidden scenes as they said.
So you're telling me I wasted my precious time watching that god awful first season just so that they could make a movie out of it and put together the two seasons?? It would've made my life so much easier if I knew about it before startig this series. Now I'm debating wether I should torture myself watching the second season or just wait for the movie.
I know!! I watched just because I saw most people saying good things about the second movie, but I don't know, I just could't like it. I'll try watching again someday and see if I change my mind.
