Title Drive My Car
I decided to watch this movie as soon as I saw that it won an Oscar (and partially because it has Okada Masaki). I found out a cinema near my house was showing the movie and so I decided to bring my mom along. Well, we both wanted our money back after the first 2h of the movie. I don't mind long movies if they are engaging and entertaining enough, but Drive My Car wasn't that for me at least. I won't say it's a bad movie because it isn't, but it's a movie dedicated to a very specific niche. The actors and photography were really good I'll give them that, but the story felt like it was lacking in a lot of senses. The movie started from nothing and it went nowhere. No interesting characters and not a very interesting story. It does have a very poetic atmosphere to it, like every Murakami book, but that alone couldn't make me like the long and boring 3h ride. The lack of soundtrack or background noise in almost every other scene made a somewhat claustrophobic atmosphere for me, but at the same time the scenes in which I liked the most were the ones with the sign language lady, where it was complete silence.

I won't dwell much longer on my comment. I didn't like the movie (nor did my mom) and that's fine, there's people who loved it, and there's people who didn't, but I do appreciate all the actors in it and am happy to see Asian movies being more recognized at the Oscar's.

As always, SABU never disappoints!! I love how every work of his have some really random and wth moments that makes you wonder if everything really has a meaning, or if he just felt like including those random moments. The story is pretty basic until you reach those last minutes of the movie, it really made me go to the edge of my seat. The ending was a masterpiece and I couldn't expect nothing less from the amazing SABU. Highly recommend this movie!

Very intriguing movie. The first hour is a bit slow but then it picks up and it becomes very interesting. Acting was amazing and the shots were gorgeously made. Definitely recommend

Title Love Stage!!
This was hilariously bad, but at least I got good laughs while watching it. The acting was very off, but I do understand they were going with the "anime acting style". I'm not a fan of the manga or anime but decided to give the movie a shot. The delivery was pretty bad in my opinion but I decided to look at this movie more as a joke and a comedy so I had fun watching it. This movie took me back to the 2000' where we had poorly made BL live actions. Guess it's time to rewatch Takumi-kun lol

useless but he managed to fight all the bad guys alone and with one weapon, while protecting his grandma😭😭😭
Nooo not the spoiler T_T

Well, to make you less bad about spoiling his character, A LOT more happens. Incredible, crazy and unpredicted things happens in the drama with pretty much all the characters. I don't even know if spoilers are capable of ruining the experience that is watching the drama. You will not regret it, trust me. Have fun watching it!!

His character makes a crazy turn on the drama, it's amazing to see how far his character comes, and it's hilarious too. You should definitely watch the drama to get a follow up on their stories, it's very worth it

Title Why R U?
It was filmed when covid first hit - then due to all new restrictions they were unable to continue filming it…
Yeah I've heard about it. I think they did a pretty decent job considering they had to stop filming due to covid. I actually enjoyed the series a lot, and although they didn't manage to make a series focused on the plot/story, it was still pretty good considering everything.

Just finished binging the whole series. This is honestly so freaking good, I think it became my favorite KBL (sorry Light on Me, I still love you tho). The quality of this show was impeccable, I think Korea is finally investing on good quality BL. The acting was so good, there wasn't one single cringy scene or moment that made me feel awkward. I was already a fan of Seo Ham due to KNK, but he managed to captivate me even more with his acting skills. The cute moments and the chemistry was so spot on, the story was very engaging and not cliché. The characters were also very likable and I loved to see how much they have changed ever since their first encounter. This show will definitely be one of those shows where I come back every so often just to brighten my days. They did change the course of the story in comparison to the webtoon, but I think it fitted the series format (plus they had a limited amount of episodes). Much love to all the actors and let's hope to get more good quality KBL's!

Title Enchanté
maybe my standards for a decent thai bl are a bit low but enchante is nowhere as cringey or as bad as some of…
PREACH!! Exactly man, i come here every time i finish a new episode just to see people's reaction and most of the comments the same thing, calling the show bad and not really giving a valid critic. I feel like the actors are doing a pretty good job, specially since it's both Force and Book first main role. Their chemistry is sooo good, and yeah there are some scenes that does feel forced but come on, every BL has it. For me at least, i don't find their interactions together cringe, different from some other famous BL couples out there.

The show is indeed very silly, but that's the reason why i'm loving it (aside from Force's hilarious faces). Plus the production, direction and cinematography are good in comparison to some other BL's.

I'm loving this show for what it is and i'm embracing it even with it's flaws. Hope we get to see more of ForceBook in the future.

Stay well.

On Why R U? Feb 28, 2022
Title Why R U?
This is the perfect example of a series that simply dropped the whole story/plot and only focused on cute and fluffy scenes of the mains. Not complaining tho cuz the quality of the kisses and bed scenes were spot on. Some side characters and stories were quite boring but it's watchable. Also, in my humble opinion, I think they were heavily influenced by TharnType, specially since WRU got released only a few months after. Zon has a very good character development, I started the series not liking him but then he grew on me. It's an entertaining show to say the least, I'll miss Saint and Zee together

Title Enchanté
I totally agree with you! I am so obsessed with this series because of the interesting plot and the undeniable…
Wow I didn't think I would get any replies to my comment. Thank you guys for replying and I'm really glad I can find people that are loving this series as much as i am.

You guys are totally right, it's very unfair to compare not only Enchanté, but pretty much any other BL out there with BB. I've never compared any show with another one so it's really difficult for me to understand why people do so. They should enjoy each show for their own unique features and story.

I also think that the characters of Theo and Akk are based of The Little Prince, and the reason why Theo/Book is acting the way he is is due to a lot of factors. First, the Little Prince is a very naive and innocent boy, sometimes he can even be considered dumb by the viewers, and from what I can see, Book is trying his best to portray that. The Little Prince isn't supposed to be charming, he's supposed to be a lonely kid searching for comfort and trying to find his place in the world. I can even sympathize with Theo in some senses. His acting does seem a little stiff at times, i won't deny that, but at least he is trying and just as you said, when he's together with Force it's like he is someone else, his acting gets a lot better since he's comfortable around him.

I think the reason as to why Theo is avidly searching for Enchanté is due to the fact that he's lonely and he feels like no one understands him. Although he has Akk by his side, he is so blind to Enchanté's worlds written in the book, that he can't really see how much Akk cares for him. This is obviously going to change in the future episodes, but we can't really blame Theo for doing so. He just lost his grandma, his safe place in the whole world, got back alone to Thailand, with no friends, he's lonely and insecure. Enchanté was pretty much the first "person" he could feel a sense of connection and that might understand him, that's why he is desperately trying to find who he is.

I love this show because it has very subtle things about the characters feelings and such, you gotta pay attention to them to really understand why they are doing what they are doing. I really hope ForceBook gets a fandom name cuz I have definitely become a fan of them!

Well, the ending was a bit disappointing but it was also kinda of expected. It was an interesting series to say the least but it left quite a few unanswered questions. The acting was good, a bit stiff at parts but it was better than some other KBL's I've watched. The kiss was top notch 10/10 for that one. I'll miss simping for vampire dude

Title Enchanté
I don't usually comment on BL's that are still airing or that I haven't finished watching yet, but reading people's comments here and seeing how low the rating is for this show, I also decided to share my thoughts on it.

Scrolling through this comment session made me realize how there's a pattern here:
1- People comparing it to Bad buddy
2- People hating on the main actors
3- People hating on the characters, specially Theo
4- People complaining of the unrealistic and unlogic story/concept

First of all, why are yall comparing it to Bad Buddy?? It makes no sense whatsoever. They are completely different shows and doesn't share the smallest similarities. It's kinda of a shame really that people think it's fair to compare the both shows if you take into consideration that BB had better promotions than Enchanté plus the hype was bigger since it was Ohm's BL comeback.
Second, I also don't understand why people are hating on the main actors. Personally I think they are doing a pretty decent job so far, SPECIALLY the mains. Force is really good as Akk and if I had to choose someone who isn't doing a good job it would be Aou as Phupha (but that might also be my biased opinion since I hate his character). People need to take into consideration that most of these actors are newbies and it's their first BL, and to be very honest, their acting isn't cringy at all and I can feel the chemistry/tension between Force and Book (unlike some BL "couples" who made a lousy job at it and yet got super famous *cough BxW cough*).
Third, Theo character is supposed to be boring!! The idea behind his character and the concept of the show is for the viewers along with Theo and Akk, find out who Enchanté is. When all of the other dudes come on and say they are Enchanté and that they "like" Theo, the idea behind it is for us to see how it's pretty much impossible for them to like Theo, since A) They barely know him B) He's boring and not charming. So by that I mean, Theo is not supposed to be a "likable character" by others, only by Akk who knows him since they were kids. Also, yeah, he's very dumb sometimes and spoiled sometimes but dang, give the guy some slack, his grandma died (rip grams).
Fourth, do you people really want to compare a BL show with real life? Like, the summary of the show is right there on top for you to read, it's a fictional work in a fantasy world, if it doesn't suit your taste there's plenty of other BL's out there that try to portray a more realistic/mature/logical story. But in all honesty, I like to watch BL's like this to try and scape from reality cuz damn, the real world is a mess right now.

Well, first time I write such a long comment when a show is airing. I also think people are assuming things about this show way too quickly, there's still 5 episodes left, a lot of things can happen until then. Just sit down, relax, watch Akk being the most hilarious and adorable person ever and enjoy the ride.

(small mention of episode 5: maaann that scene/dialogue of Theo and Akk in the art room made it waayy too obvious that Akk was the real Enchanté XD excited to see if my theory is true)

On When the Camellia Blooms Feb 9, 2022
Kinda of a mediocre kdrama. I liked the ML but there were way too many characters I hated for me to get really invested on the show. Her son, jesus, I couldn't stand that kid at all, such an ungrateful child and annoying. Only continued watching because ML smile was too cute for this world, other than that, not really worth it. The suspense aspect of the show was also pretty predictable, it took them way too many episodes to figure out the obvious.

On Ossan's Love: In the Sky Feb 8, 2022
It was really fun, hilarious and true to the Ossan's Love essence on the first few episodes. The first half was very entertaining to watch, but it felt like the screenwriters lost itself on those last episodes. Haruta itself felt too different from the previous versions, it didn't really sit right to me. The ending was a complete mess, it made no sense whatsoever and there was too many unresolved relationships or relationships who were resolved too quickly. Poor build-up and lack of development. I would personally recommend everyone to just go watch the 2018 version and stick to it, cuz this one ain't worth it. It was fun to watch this with friends and laugh at how absurd of a path the story was heading to.

renard Feb 8, 2022
LOOOL thanks Renard for posting my review here. It saves me time and brain cells to write an actual review of this show. I had fun watching it and the first few episodes were hilarious and it still had that Ossan's Love essence, but after that it seems like the screenwriters went completely lost. I guess I'll never get over the fact that he ended up with Ossan/Captain for the simple fact that in the spam of 8 episodes it was never pointed out that Haruta loved him to the point of wanting to date him (he himself on the last episode confessed he didn't know what he felt for Ossan). Oh well, at least the 2018 version will always have a special place in my heart, specially Maki <3

Insanity at it's peak. This drama is perfect to watch with friends and just laugh at how absurd it is. As always, ABEMA delivering those crazy and irrational plots that I love. Don't take this show seriously and you will have a really fun time with it.

Also, let's appreciate the fact that Marika NAILED the psycho wife role. This woman is dead gorgeous and talented <3
