True! And what makes those episodes even better is how they quietly shift the power dynamic. Yohan thinks he’s in control, but Taejung surviving all of that already shows he’s not the easy target Yohan thinks he is. It set up their tension perfectly for what’s coming next.

I don’t understand why people are saying the drama suddenly “turned into Squid Game” or that it’s copying Death Race. It’s literally just two episodes, and the point isn’t to turn the show into a survival game, it’s to show just how unhinged Yohan really is. This isn’t the main plot or the core of the drama at all.
Those episodes serve a purpose: to bring Taejung face to face with the person who destroyed his life, especially since Yohan genuinely had no idea he was even still alive. It’s a narrative device, not a genre switch.
And honestly, not every drama that includes a “game” or intense challenge is automatically copying Squid Game. If you look closely, it’s not even similar to it in structure, tone, or purpose.

I've only watched 4 episodes and I feel it's gonna be a masterpiece!!!!
The ending of episode 4 doesn't bode well ...Yohan is a psycho and he's definitely planning to turn that place into something like squid game, make them kill each other and fight to survive or he's planning to use them.
I feel bad for TaeJung😭 I hope he gets a satisfying revenge
