i knew this wasn't pure BL and yet the main couple were tedious - they had some moments but the back and forth was really draining to watch. especially when the FL is supposed to be the mature adult in that relationship, and it wasn't that the ML was better - his passiveness was annoying.
heck there were a ton of character's that just rubbed me the wrong way, and i know i'm a minority but for me Joanna was the worst of the bunch. i didn't like her personality and she didn't endear herself to me any better, when she kept treating Mark like he the "special needs" kid she loved to ridicule - heck she kept bullying him and that was supposed to be cute or funny? she a grown ass woman, that doesn't want a serious relationship - but is just looking to "hook-up" and yet hasn't heard of contraception? from the start of this drama, she hopping from one guy to the next, she get's pregnant and conveniently it's Mark's?!? plz, if i was him i would demanded a paternity test ASAP. she was a 3rd wheel, u just couldn't shake her off - as is Mark and Ou Wen had almost no screen time, and when they finally got together we had her glued to them 24-7, tossing sarcastic remakes at Mark. so nah i don't like her and she really could disappear AFAIC but this couple by far was the best of the best - seen a load of BL's and i think they were the healthies, most organic couple to come together. the build-up let alone the growth was exhilarating and satisfaction to watch - and they had like 5 min's throughout this mess - but they shined!
the older couple had their moments, as didn't like Nai Hui condescending attitude towards Wu at the start, but the sec she decided "he was the guy for her", her turn around and trying to assimilate in his life and village, was endearing and heartwarming to watch. so even though they also a miniscule story in the otherwise main draggy plot, they stood-out (like Mark and Ou Wen) but i will Not be rewatching this... may rewatch clips of Mark and Ou Wen scenes on the tube (❁´◡`❁) but that's about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lemme give you the timeline so you're less confused. The Veil: Moebius takes place in 2011 and 2012.2011 - Soo…
Thank You🙂 but obviously after watching i got what's what lol - i guess what i meant in my initial comment was that the description is miss leading. as i was looking forward to know what happened to her after the people she was handling (i.e Ji Hyuk and her bf got murdered) and how she got into her new position. writing this now, i guess it wouldn't be that interesting - but as far as i'm concerned her part in this mini drama wasn't that important either 🤷♀️ the MVP was Chun Woo IMHO
i think she still kicking, as we only saw a hospital bed empty! :)
yeah i thought it was a trap to get Ji Hyuk. but after a while there would be no point to her still hiding. either way she wasn't a character that i liked, so one way or the other (like in this short drama) she was anticlimactic
the ending was the most interesting moment throughout this ep - read comments and everyone enjoying this. idk but this didn't make me laugh - or rather i didn't find this or Koo funny(just the scene in the church). plus she totally disgusting, all through this the only thing i REALLY wanted to see, was her stepping into a shower and lathering up!!
and "sorry" but being an investigator for an insurance company aint doing the lords work - they as crooked as they come. so as far as i'm concerned, if an average person finds a way to "rob" and insurance company, good on them - cause insurance companies treat their clients like garbage and there a ton of sad, depressing infuriating stories about how in time of need, people have to beg and plead for money owed - that they've been paying insurance for decades - so i personally didn't like her investigating methods, or how she was using people. even that mute dude, that is supposed to be her driver - but was turned into a slave... was hyped for this and now am disappointed - donno if i will even give the next ep a try - oh well win some lose some
well this was depressing , especially when u know how Chun Woo "ends", that's just sad and i seriously don't get his telling Ji Hyuk that he owed her (in The Veil), what he owe her? she used him - heck she admitted to using him, so she could get a promotion and get back in the good-graces of the NIS. so i guess he means that she finally voiced the truth, that he knew? that no matter what he did, he would never be welcomed back in the NIS? what choice did that leave him. what was the point of all the crying and going on about dark places, worth?!? what other option was open to him? like talk redundant
idk why this Soo Yeon's "story" or why the description had to mention China (confusing me into thinking it was the mission from the Veil) also why she have the hair-cut she had when Ji Hyuk came back? while here she hasn't even started a relationship with Kyung Seok, and he already off with Ji Hyuk to china 🤷♀️🤦♀️ he for sure wouldn't know about a mission a yr in advance - for her to grow out her hair and open up to a subordinate, let alone get into an intimate relationship with him... The Veil was really really well written - this isn't and i'm confused and a bit disappointed 😫
this should've been Jang Chun Woo's story / explanation, as to why he went dark. cause he was interesting and seeing his friendship with Goo Pyung was bitter sweet - heartwarming and breaking all in one. so just cause of that moment, i don't regret watching this. but this more a miss then a hit
binged watched this and what can i say other then "the end" - this wasn't good - the look's weren't to my taste, but could overlook that for great acting - which was mediocre at best, same with almost everything else - but guessing most were new at the game, so took that into consideration and yet the plot was all over the place, and the clichés 🤦♀️ like a MOFO, everywhere - unforgiveable ones that were then just wrapped up, cause it's the end as we need every couple to end up together - reconcile and walk off into the sunset. could do without that trope.
the only genuine moment was Arthur's confession that he had no one - that was sad and eye opening, but not shocking as usually bullies r bullied - vicious circle 🤷♀️ so that moment where he broke down let alone his friends hugging him, was heartwarming. yeah the mains at the end were also cute - but kinda liked the end-end - as we started with Sky alone in the pool - and at the end Paper join's him - symbolic to Sky's life and their romance - still cute at best, and yet this a one off
side note: Chris freakin used tongue - that blindsided me - heck it embarrassed Jeno enough to break out in laughter, that reaction was genuine - think even he didn't except that - Mawin the man lol. compared to that, the kiss at the end was childsplay 🙈...
cute ending - glad Tachibana made peace with her step-mother, like i'm glad Tougo at long last stood up to that domineering mother and put her in her place. guess the end was Tachibana making peace with her choice, cause i don't think Haru's ghost was really haunting her. it was more her conscious weighting on her. what with her making her sister's last fear's come true -
even though i never really liked Haru's character's, i guess u can make allowance's cause she was sick and venting, and as she always envied her sister, it was logical to channel her hate at her (not only being better at everything, but also being healthy). still didn't like the relationship between the sister's 1 it wasn't equal, and 2 it was used to shackle Tachibana. not healthy at all. so bad of me but Haru needed to die 😅😂😂😂 ok will stop writing - this was good and for sure a rewatch 🙈🤣🤣🤣
this was so good and agree with anyone saying, this is among the really good drama's out there (not gonna label it "medical drama" cause really, it was Sooo.. much more) totally underrated! idk why that is the case, as the acting is stellar (great actors and not only the leads, but a ton of side's that added so much to this experience). so is the plot and even if there r plot-holes, it can be glossed over cause there is so much more good, compared to the not so good (can't use "bad" cause really, nothing much was bad here). people who had a tough time with logic and the female at the start - the plot had to start somewhere and if she was believed at the word go. she as a traffic cop would really have NO reason to be at that hospital, let alone interact with the ML 24/7 - and if she still was, then she would really seem annoying, pushing into a situation that she wasn't needed in - given her lack of know-how. so not for a sec did i think she was annoying or unnecessary. if anything she was a great FL !!
this last ep was a perfect way to close this emotional ride - Young Oh finally confronted his "father" and aired out their dirty laundry - and even though he said - he couldn't find it in himself to forgive him. his words of understanding his abusive father. kinda was the start of him forgiving him - something i guess i aint mature enough, cause i wouldn't have been that bighearted let alone kind when confronting my abuser. this drama really is perfect and loved a ton of character's. so wished it was longer but it is what it is - those that don't give this a chance r missing out - for sure a rewatch!
lol forgot about that - but still we talking Korea, it's one thing when it's romance and male female - but usually in K-drama's if there is a good bromance, they guys r close in age. if one is decade's older he usually the father figure or older sibling idk 🤷♀️ something along those lines
hmmm donno what i feel as that ending left me a bit confused. first off this was good - well acted and loved the explosive chemistry between the main's. but found it kind symbolic in a forbidding way, that Vic chose to buy a fighter-fish to accompany that "lonely" gold fish (fighter-fish don't get alone with their own kind, let alone other fishes. they will fight any thing to the death). so that goldfish wouldn't stand a chance - was that an indicator that Vic and Xiang could never be?
when Xiang suggested "being together" the sec Vic turned his back, i was worried. but then a scene later he taking Xiang to "meet the family". so maybe even though they couldn't be, he still wanted to? that's why when Xiang shouted "back off Police" Vic shouted back "i can't hear u".. cause he didn't want to back away from his relationship with Xiang, even though they were at opposing ends?
at the start both shouted at each other that "they couldn't hear" while at the end Xiang thought - maybe there will come a time where he would hear Vic. so idk or rather not 100% sure what everything means, in this context. but in-spite of this being a short movie it didn't feel short. of course could do with more so everything becomes clearer - but it is what it is....
this was something i shouldn't have clicked on, and stopped at the 1 hrs mark - that means i suffered enough, waiting for Gene to grow the f😡ck up. he the adult here - he in a relationship for over 2 yrs and this is what we get 🤷♀️ get this also a comedy, but this turned out to be a bad joke.
with all due respect to artistic temperament, i would drop-kick anyone who treated me like dirt - the way Gene kept treating Sib. how is this a healthy relationship(?) and why cause u love more u should sufferer from the start, till death do us part?!? what kind of wrapped way of thinking is this??? how is this love? so Sib lied to Gene, cause this sorry ass keep acting like he doing Sib a favor even smiling at him - let alone treating him like he human when Sib around, cause anything is more important - his writing - his constant being on his phone. only when Sib's occupied, he's looking at him - this love? like plz. i enjoyed the series but this was insufferable - Gene being a grown ass adult, should know better, then act the Diva with a loved one. he deserves to be alone and not in a loving relationship - idk maybe we should contact the vatican and nominate Nubsib for sainthood?? 🙄 cause his patience is unrealistic -
side note: Mai was totally MVP cause of him couldn't stop laughing - dude hilarious, but everyone was fun. other then wet blanket Gene, that kept a constant sourpuss, hangdog look on his face and i keep asking WHY??? just cause.. like b🤬tch plz - so stopped and dropped. Never to pick this up again✌
as i loved the J-Shinya Shokudo series and enjoyed the K-Midnight Café series - where the restaurant owner is like an old-timey bar-tender, that listen to their patron's day and offer's them comfort in the form of food or drink - this is right up my alley. it's a sit back and feel good drama - slow paced but Not boring.
here there is a bit of an added twist with Go Bi who seems lost and a bit despondent, that chance's upon Park Seok's Café 2Dae and finds aspiration/inspiration again - cause of the setting? the clam and welcoming owner's? cause of the "god shot" - time will tell... but this was cute and sweet and even funny. most of the veteran actors r great, so i think this is gonna be good
popped up on my tube feed and i couldn't be more stoked - this was so freakin sweet it gave me diabetes. wish all firsts was this endearing and heartwarming. loved the slow burn and loved even more how it built - that bike-ride made me laugh with them, and that confession and kiss at the end made my heart race - this was pure bliss - short and sweet
put off viewing the last ep - guess didn't want this to end lol. but couldn't do that indefinitely so this was a fitting ending (that didn't feel like an end - maybe an open for another season, one can hope). also didn't expect to cry - and the scene with Je Yi and her father, got me in the feels yeah he a bad guy. but just contemplating how much a human needs to suffer to lose their identity, was shudder inducing - so even in his last moments referring to Je Yi as his friends daughter, really broke my heart - for both of them.
but found it ironic that the person saying he didn't want to sacrifice innocents - or kill innocent people was gonna execute a room full of innocents just to make a point. cause Ji Hyuk was right, in telling him that even after sacrificing all those hostages the real bad-guys would get away with murder and the point Baek Mo Sa was trying to make would be lost. so glad Ji Hyuk did the deed of opening that Pandora's box live - he achieved more without shedding innocent blood (other then his own) and that's what we need in an ML
side note - glad Ji Hyuk didn't go down like a tower of jenga blocks, like i worried all through this drama - bad joke i know. but i'ma miss this 💗 and an indestructible Ji Hyuk wreaking havoc in ever ep
so that kiss at the end and how revolted the dude playing Gawin looked, was enough to kill my buzz - which is a pity as this was cute and at first how it's shot, is aggravating. but pretty soon the antic's of Nice and Gawin's mother-hen tendencies kinda charm u into ignoring everything, but the content - which is cute, sweet and fun. wont say this perfect, but it was a fun ride until "that" end -
also Gawin's remaining friends with his ex is another reminder why "that" sh🙄t should never(!) be an option in reality - u over and done, move on - ending on good terms; means u can be civil, even friendly if u run across each other - Not that be u calling each other up (on the daily) and still got ur "nose" in each others life - nah this whack! but i get this was just added plot filler - so never mind
cute - not the best there is, but cute - wish the plot was worked out better, as this started off really shaky and just felt off. i got interested in the last couple of ep's and as each ep is 11 min's long, that's saying a lot about how much this needed to be reworked to make this good. but it is what it is and good on the newbies, hope they grow from this - same for whomever made this drama, they need to work harder and make better BL's cause this average at best.
plus point the kisses didn't make me cringe (i.e the one's kissing were comfortable in their own skin) still a one off
well this was going great until that "dinner date" was laughing my heart out and then that disaster happened, and i'm astounded that, that's Aue go-to.. he should've know better, not only as the adult in that equation - but as someone who was in a similar situation with Chef Eve. how he like it when she backed him into a corner?!? u can't force ur feelings on another and for sure, not force them to confront their felling's considering the fear that Aek was drowning in, in that moment - but this went off the bend - Aek's go-to was calling a stranger?!? he lack friends?!????? aish i really don't get what the writer is thinking, writing some of this crap. cause i donno one person on this planet that after being kissed by force (seeing him crying and acting like he was accosted/traumatized) would then turn for comfort/help to a stranger - not male, for sure not a female.
and have to say (hate me if u must) love Chef Eve - she walks in owning the place, drops a bomb and out she goes without a backward glance. but it's like beating a dead horse - idk how the main couple gonna come into existence, considering Aek words (feelings about being in a ship with a man) let alone Aue's actions. this whole drama is leaving me bewildered, about WTF is going on with everyone in this production team (cause sorry but this a mess - and not only talking about the snail-paced acting) oh well 4 more to go
heck there were a ton of character's that just rubbed me the wrong way, and i know i'm a minority but for me Joanna was the worst of the bunch. i didn't like her personality and she didn't endear herself to me any better, when she kept treating Mark like he the "special needs" kid she loved to ridicule - heck she kept bullying him and that was supposed to be cute or funny?
