The Journey to Killing You Episode 1

well this was interesting & shockingly good - am shocked cause this kinda dark, the SA that is treated as nothing makes me so uneasy & i don't get why anyone would want to join an organization, where when u start from the bottom basically means u r gonna get treated like a "bottom" or worse like a toy, that gets used & abused sexually. & idk why but have a feelings Odajima was abused at home & that's why he murdered his father & mother. so going from one bad situation, to a worse one is kinda depressing IMO. **********************************************************************************************************************personally i would wanna murder Kirii more then Kataoka. even though given the hierarchy i guess if he does, he wouldn't stand a chance of living after. so he gotta follow orders even if said orders will get him killed - the irony in this is mindboggling. *****************************************************************************************************************************************mentioning Kataoka, dude is such a character hard to dislike him, but that also makes him that much more terrifying, with Kirii he is mean but u can see that & he is lot of ego too, so u know that he's the type that relies more on his henchmen to do the dirty work. while that isn't the case with Kataoka he will go from joking to killing in a milliseconds & the scary part he wont lose his smile. but he more trustworthy (i know the irony - a Yakuza being trustworthy is a ridiculous notion like the honor part he mentioned - doesn't compute in my mind...) & yet he is someone i would pick, if the choice was between him & Kirii. ************still we gotta wait & see why Odajima chose to not act on the opportunity & what he wants to know from Kataoka.

if i was Khem i would move to that field where the Holy Monks were slaughtered, there no way Ramphueng would be able to get to him there. & until now this was the 1st time someone didn't just stop her but actually hurt her. but of course that not gonna even be an option. oh well will just sit & wait this out - see how things unfold ***********************************************what i didn't expect was the 2nd couple not just kissing but consummating the start of their relationship this fast. personally would've loved a slow build up so we see the whole wooing stages, but given how much times is spent on Khem being cringe i guess "they" needed to fast-forward Jet & Chan's relationship. but will say that they got mad chemistry & were r sweet & entertaining as i knew they would be... (but when i wrote entertaining i didn't mean the sexually loaded scenes - but just together they fun).********************************************************************************************************************btw i don't get Peem giving Phrima false hope. even if he wasn't interested in Khem given his profession & who her fathers is (someone that robbed his father, got him in debt which made him flee the country & abandon Peem) there no way he could marry into that family. so why do that to someone he calls a friend?!?

Khem is a really annoying character, in the previous ep he was throwing himself a pity party cause he was useless. & then what does he do add to everyone's troubles by following Yod - when he knows he got a she-devil after his ass. but master berating him, telling him he just cause trouble wasn't enjoy or a warning to try & avoid sh*t... dude is so annoying he beelines for any one pothole... idk why writers & producers find this type of character endearing. IMO this type of moron that can't find his ass with his own two hands is insufferable. idk why Jet is still his friend or what Peem wants to help him. yeah he says no but u can see that there is a part of him (since he was a teen & 1st came across Khem) he wanted to help him. **********************************the main bummer there wasn't enough of Chan & Jet -******************************************************************************btw i don't get how or why an avenging spirit go more powers then a snake spirit god & even before he lost a scale dude backed down & allowed her to stay on the mountain - like what gives?!? also would really like if someone started question who she is & how she is connected to the OG Khemjira.

so was right & the chick from 1939 was current day Khem & am guessing her bff's (that were a couple on the downlow) one of them is the spirt with the grudge. but what did Khemjira do to her friends? as is she seemed really sicky, cause she had a heart condition & then Phawat going off to war, just made her sicker. so why was her lineage cursed?!? ********************************but pleasantly surprised that Peem hasn't broken & started to cater to Khem's every request just cause he keeps making cow-eyes at him, already refreshing the mold is being broken for the usual tropes. *****************************************************still find the coincidence that they were all connected in a past & their lives r still intertwined & the fact ghost stalking Khem is Phawat's/Peem's younger brother is weird. also would be nice to know why it's cool that spirits hanging around & not passing on/reincarnating. not to mention this camping trip Jet & Khem's group r on - there a timeline for it?? weeks? months? **************************************************************************************************************************************************really enjoying the 2nd couple Chan & Jet r so enjoyable & likeable. they bring a smile to my heart - wish there was more of them.

the reason i take breaks from Thai BL's is how the "bottom" is usually portrayed - it's like, cause he is supposedly the "FL" the usual trope of the damsel in distress is the prototype for who "she" must be - to be worthy of being the lead, as then the ML can be her knight in shining amour (more like bodyguard, personal assistant & caregiver all rolled in one). this trope is getting tedious & cliché in straight dramas, why would i enjoy it when i watch BL's?!? ******************************************************say what u will, Khem is not just male he is 20 yrs old(!) not a child & yet he walking around like he's this fragile new-born foal that keeps tripping over his own feet most of the time, taking timid steps while speaking or doing anything & watching this is doing my head in. i just keep time skipping & ironically nothing much happens, cause the dude keeps giving those long ass stares & silence's as if they supposed to add to the dramatic effect - but the scene is nothing of the sort. bottom line this ep was though to sit through. & had to rewatch some parts cause i was worried what i missed like the time jump to 1939 (or was ot 1949) either way how this connected to the present & the ghost in the end that called Peem "Phawat" i have yet to find out - guess we will see... & was the chick that climbed up the tree Khem in a previous incarnation?!? ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************but i really like Chan, there was a sec where i was worried we would get another annoying trope of the triangle where Chan is the 2nd ML that will be left heart broken as Khem will end up with Peem. but thankfully Chan is gonna get paired with Jet & i already love they bickering back & forth. can't wait for more.

there r things that i liked & others the i liked less, but for a 1st ep there was a ton of info & not a boring moment. 1st off Khem is cute personality wise, not just looks wise but i wanted to shake him a couple of times. given the life he has been leading, one would think he would be a bit more rushed to haul ass when in a weird situation. but he's kinda passive for a guy that is actively being haunted & hunted by ghosts. **************************************************************************************************also given his curse, one would think he wouldn't be leading a normal life & like his father would chose to stay in a holy place where he would get maximum protection - but then i guess no BL...

i am amazed at how Sheng has just glossed over what Hua Yong did to him (not once but twice), they suddenly in the honeymoon faze & i am left wondering... WTF - but i guess if it's written this way - logic & common sense not gonna intervene lol... & as per usual i am the odd one out, so whatever. *******************************************************************************but i didn't get why Hua Yong who is so obsessed & possessive of Sheng (after his secretary investigated / well tortured the guys that kidnapped Sheng) knowing who was behind it, allowed Shao Qing to not only get close to Sheng once - but then went along with him to that dinner. i get he wanted a reason to finish Shao Qing off once & for all - but it was dragged out & unnecessary IMO - but i also (throughout this ep) was wondering if we would get a glimpse of Guo (who is the only character that i like) & as there only 2 eps more, i feel kinda bummed that there wasn't more of his storyline. ******************************cause IMO the 2nd couple r much more interesting & entertaining (Shen makes me laugh at how incompetent he is at being emotionally vulnerable with the one he truly loves). ********************************************************************************as Hua Yong is a nutter & Sheng idk why he has turned so submissive in regards to someone that has gaslit & manipulated him until now. & saying 'i loved u for ages' doesn't make it ok - if anything it that much more scary - but what do i know.

Hiroshi can't bring himself to apologize or at least say the words 'sorry' & as Natsuo didn't ever hurt him, Hiroshi was in the wrong all along. ***********************************************************************************************************************his reactions to Natsuo as a teen were his own insecurities, cause he didn't fit in with anyone in that school - so the only person that got close to him, he (Hiroshi not knowing how to deal / show he wanted to be close to Natsuo) chose to see his presence as negative - thus no need to try & open up or see Natsuo as a good person. he could be his introverted, antisocial self & it would be justified, cause everyone (including Natsuo) bad bullies. *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************even in the present, he reacted as i expected. his ex-classmates insulted & made fun of him behind his back & he chose to run away. but he couldn't run away from Natsuo, so he did what he does best, he lashed out & not only insulted Natsuo's (even though now he knew that Natsuo got close to him, when they were teens cause he liked him) past advances as disgusting, but he tried to then SA him?!? what revenge was he getting & on whom?!? when he was in the wrong!!! **********************************************************************************************************************************************************************as this was the last ep, it was gonna get solved ASAP cause no 2nd season planned - but am i happy? idk if i could be cordial or polite towards someone that tried to assault me. but i guess between two men it's fine?!? idk why SA isn't a issue when portrayed in same sex relationships in BL's - personally i think that's a f*cked up messages to promote - but it is what it is. this was fine & i really liked Natsuo, very much so... he was a hyper, golden retriever full of love & trust, from start to finish & he deserved better IMO. but it is what it is & the end. a one off for me -

in the typical BL/Drama Natsuo would run after Hiroshi & Hiroshi would take out the pain & anger on him. am sure Natsuo will be waiting for him at his place. but still, just the fact that we don't have Natsuo blindly running after the person he loves, cause he is so blind in love is a breath of fresh air. hope they talk it out, but this is the 2nd time Hiroshi has been caught in a lie - idk what i would do in Natsuo's place.

wish Hiroshi hadn't lied, but at least now he realizes that Natsuo wasn't bullying him. he also realized that he wants Natsuo in his life & was ready to lie about his injury just to keep him near. which is adorable but i wish he was start to communicate with Natsuo, instead of playing these games. *********************************************************************************************also idk why i have this bad feeling that something is gonna happen to Natsuo, since i heard about his occupation i am really worried & i hope i am wrong.

had a feeling the reason Natsuo had a crush on the guy that turned out to be a con man was cause he reminded him of Hiroshi - the irony. but at least by the end of the ep he realized that Hiroshi was his 1st crush. just wish Hiroshi would stop with the prickly act - he keeps being mean & pushing Natsuo away. sometimes he treats him like he is ashamed of him & that is really annoying cause Natsuo is a sweetheart.

was the blooming flower at the end supposed to symbolize their blooming affections? or that they did more then kiss?!? but at least there is some type of forward momentum - Hiroshi for sure is treating Natsuo like a human with emotions & feelings. that's already growth - we even saw a little jealousy on Hiroshi's part. so i am happy ... ********************************************really like Natsuo he's like a hyperactive puppy full of love & innocence & i don't wanna see him hurting or hurt. i was happy that in this BL after getting hurt he didn't rush to forgive or run after Hiroshi, Hiroshi was the one to search out Natsuo - & even though he didn't apologize, he stopped acting like an ass. so that's a plus

must say ep 3 & i have yet to figure out their relationship. yeah they supposed to be dating, but Natsuo acting like a fan-boy all the time, serving his idol - massaging his ego, being helpful so his idol can focus on his art or fanning over him.... while Hiroshi treats Natsuo like he's his servant or personal maid. he isn't warm or kind, he just tolerates him. Hiroshi is warmer, kinder & happier around plants then Natsuo - the interaction between them is just off...

as is the eps so short - idk why we needed that whole plot with the kid destroying the flowers. wish they just focused on the mains. as is there is a lot of clearing up & disclosing to do IMO - did more happen between the pair - is that why Hiroshi reacted like he was faced by his childhood bully? idk - i need to see more. what i know is that Natsuo is the character i am rooting for, he is almost childlike in his reactions & actions. hard not to like him. *******************************************************************wish Hiroshi would come clean, so they could communicate & clear up whatever misunderstanding they had between them, so they can move on

pretty sure this was a big misunderstanding or Natsuo inability to communicate his true feelings as teens. idk if now he recognized Hiroshi & saw this as a 2nd chance to get what he couldn't, when they were students. or he is just attracted to Hiroshi - time will tell. ****************************************************************************************************************but it is clear that Hiroshi didn't read the situation right & assumed that Natsuo the delinquent was just toying with him. he didn't understand that Natsuo genuinely fell for him. ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************maybe Natsuo's family was bad/sad & as a consequence he was scared or didn't know how to convey his true feelings, maybe he had a learning disability something that handicapped him further.. maybe that & who he was was gender wise, let alone the school with other delinquents - he couldn't come out & knew it would be safeer to just be around Hiroshi, pestering him (like the kid that pulls the hair of the girl he likes) it's something that's better then nothing. & sadly Hiroshi was so used to getting bullied in that school, that he just assumed that Natsuo was just another bully that found a new way to bully him. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************i still don't get what we saw at the start, was Hiroshi trying to force himself on Natsuo, his way of getting even for all the bullying?!? that would be bad - cause Natsuo's immature & a goofball but he isn't mean - never was (ok when he lied to his friends on the roof, that was bad) still he doesn't deserve to get SA - hope i am wrong. ********************************************& just throwing this out there is Natsuo did something similar to Hiroshi when they were teens - two wrongs don't make a right. y'all adults - talk it out or curse him out, threaten to go to the cops - anything but try to do to him what he did to u.
