Really wish people would hold out on rating new shows until they've seen at least 3 episodes. I haven't watched this yet and seeing it's score already below 8 is extremely disheartening...
This show is mainly cute and fluffy so far. Though I'm kinda having a hard time loving the main couple (Gui & Solo) like I do the 2nd couple (Kao & Phu). Feels like the 2nd couple has the chemistry I'm suppose to be getting from the main couple. A bit disappointing, still totally adorable though.
This is only 6 episodes? Why? Was that the original plan or was it cut short due to the pandemic?
I believe it's more of a Netflix thing than anything else. They themselves don't produce shows that exceed 10 episodes per season, to make them more binge-watchable. Like this one, Kingdom and Strangers from Hell. Other shows that usually have at least 16 episodes per season are produced mainly by South Korean TV channels, where the show is aired first before joining the Netflix Library. Correct me if I'm wrong...
This series has always been (probably will always be) my ultimate Thai BL drama. Great acting from the leads and the supporting cast. Through the roof chemistry between the leads.
Lets be honest, this series has spoiled me from the minute I watched it (It's been 3 years since it came out). I still haven't found a series to match it in regards to its depiction of intimacy between adults/university students. I even love the fact that the opening isn't some 2 minute song. There is no doubt in my mind that this series is on a level of it's own in the BL genre.
This series left me feeling that ending it at ep. 6 would have been the better choice. But ending it the way they did at ep. 16 was good enough.
Still left me hoping until the last second - that Doc. Yon-Gi would get some kind of happiness for being the only honestly decent human being on the show.
So this turned out being a re-do of TinCan's story. Without - Pete, Good, Type, Cha-aim. Changed actors - Champ, Tul and Phupah. New Characters - Mai, Job, Gonhin, Keen
If you've ever needed something to melt your heart and fluff up your soul, you have found what you were looking for! But then again, I'm 100% biased towards both leads, especially their chemistry.
So putting the "not that great" (to say it mildly) direction, camera work, sound, story line and some of the acting is aside. This one's from mainland China and it's BL? I'm just gonna appreciate the effort.
For me it was the opposite. I had to make myself watch the second season because I loved the first one so much…
To each his own my friend. But we do agree that the Forth-Beam coupling saved the remake. Also I find the Ming-Kit coupling in the Original much more compelling. Maybe, like I said I'm not feeling the Wayo-Phana coupling, I find their story-line, dialogue and chemistry for both the Original and the Remake awkward as hell...
Wait what, how is Ma Dong Seok's - House God - character in this one? He "perished" in the last one after his "Jar House" got broken by the dept collectors/demolition people right?

Most importantly - I think Gucci was replaced!
Literally joined the platform just to watch this...
