Title The Match
With mid being a 5, I'm glad you gave it an 8 rating.
Actually, going by the strict, one through ten and using all the stars makes more sense. However, after coming to MDL I soon noticed that the kids here seem to think anything below a 7 is a disaster, and evaluate the ratings by decimal points between 7 and 9. It's as though the rest of the stars/half-stars don't exist. lol

At some point, I expressed my confusion regarding this, and someone suggest the ABCDF thing. But now that you mention it, I may go back to using all ten regularly. That said, I often do rate things well below a 6 or F, when it's not just a matter of a show being bad, but HOW bad it is. :D Shows I drop get a 1/10 from me. :P

We all have different ways of using the 1-10 star MDL rating system, a big part of why it makes little sense. I suppose to me, "mid" would be a C on an ABCDF scale, or a 70%, which puts it a 7/10. But the presence of Yoo and the fact it's his first released project since the two years of Korean media/legal/knetz torture he has endured, brought it up to an 8/10. Or not. Whatever. :)

lol
This is so spot-on.
Yes, that scene was absurd.

I think some kind of fan association has filed a criminal complaint against the so called 'fans' who are spreading…
That is great news, though how they go about tracking down the people who make false accusations online is a mystery to me. I know SK legislators have toyed with ideas such as requiring discussion group participants to register with a verifiable form of ID so that they will be accountable for what they say. Normally, I would object to that as an infringement on free speech. However, the Knetz phenomenon is so out of hand and specific to Korea, that I think such laws are justified by now.

Curious: Why do accept as fact that he did what he has only at this point been ACCUSED of?
Again, I will leave your silly, near-incoherent rambling to speak for itself. You've now devolved to the "get a life," "get a job," blah blah blah insult stage, which means you understand that your weak line of BS is all you've got left. Which means insults will have to suffice.

Newsflash: what some silly, Dutch Knetz MDL little girl fantasizes about me is irrelevant.

Not sure you care but this is based on a very popular manga/anime; and much of the storyline is what is because…
So....YOU don't take moral lessons or teachings from BLs, but you're concerned for all the other dumb people who do. Got it.

You're completely ignoring my primary point about how a lot of "cheating" comes about, but that's your choice, so fine. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. I hope you'll come to that view someday. That does not mean that every relationship in which it happens should end with the couple getting back together. Not by any means. There are plenty of people out there who cheat deliberately and intentionally, and when caught and forgiven, do it all over again. The partners of those people are wise to get rid of them asap. I am saying there are also plenty of situations in which the cheating comes about from a one-time set of unique circumstances and will not happen again, if the couple deals with it properly and carefully.

Even then, it takes time to fully re-establish trust. I admire those who love each other and take the time and make the effort to repair their relationship. If that's not a wise choice to make, then yes, dump the cheater. BUT...this attitude I see a lot of on MDL, which is summarized as "Once a cheater, always a cheater," is a lazy, black/white, all/nothing, self-righteous bit of hokum; and part of the NeoPuritanism arising among young people today. It's judgemental and sad.

Yes, you are a girl. Consider mastering English before going on to those 14 other languages you plan on butchering.

And omg...it wants to "study law...' LOLOLOL it says, while out of the other side of its mouth it pronounces people guilty of crimes for which they haven't had a trial. PLEASE keep your law practice on THAT side of the Atlantic, ok?

I will leave your comment to speak for itself and its author, who clearly, is an ignorant, nearly-illiterate, terrible writer (please stop butchering the English language; maybe go back to your native tongue, Klingon), as well as someone who is amusingly ignorant of the law.

yeah, yeah, people like you, little girl, and you are a girl, why are you trying to pretend otherwise?, always betray their inferiority complex toward the USA by being the first to go off about how lame we are, but then in the next two sentences you betray the fact that you obsessively watch everything that happens here. "Diddy..." lol

Yes, we have a giant orange turd in the white house right now, but I sure as hell didn't vote for it. Anyway, lay off crucifying people you have no right or perspective to judge. Again, focus on your own frailties, then go after talented young men halfway around the world from you, because doing so makes you feel better about yourself.

P.S. Diddy IS innocent in the eyes of the law, because that's how "innocent until proven guilty" works. Furthermore, watch what you write here to me, or about Kamimura. MDL no longer tolerates commenters trashing celebrities with names derived from crimes they haven't been proven to have committed, nor does it put up with a lot of the trash-talk you've already spewed at me. If you want to try me out, throw another nasty comment by way, I'll report it, it will get aken down, and then you'll be on the MDL ban list. I would enjoy that.

Silly...you made me laugh. It sounds like you're afraid of me. hahaha
I'm perfectly harmless. I just have a snarky, big mouth, strong opinions, and an attitude.

Yeah...wow. Boom's acting...he is WAY talented. Thank you for making me aware of him through this show.

Are you drunk? The way in which this incoherent reply is written makes it clear that you are a tiny child, regardless of where you live.

There is no victim until there is a crime, and there is no crime until it has been PROVEN in court. But even that wouldn't be good enough for your type. We both know that when he is found not guilty, you will say the verdict was rigged and he did "it," (that dreadfully serious inappropriate touching thing) because if he didn't do "something," then none of this would have happened...right? Oh yeah, I've seen your nonsense for 20 years now.

Actually, little girl, it doesn't matter where you live, if you yack and spew BS like a K/J/T/Cnetz, then you are one. You don't deserve to live in an admirably progressive place like the Netherlandsd. Go live in Iran. They'll slap a Burkha on you and you'll be safe from all that inappropriate touching.
On Kamimura Kenshin May 10, 2025
Kenshin, my man, hang in there. Hundreds of thousands of fans love and adore you. I admire your acting talent and look forward to you resuming your career after this witch hunt is over with.

You gave me many wonderful, touching moments of drama and humor during my watch of "Our Youth." I have five good friends who watched it along with me and love your talent and charisma. We are Americans, and you have a lot of fans over here. Come to America! Everyone gets second, third, and fourth chances.

I know this period is hard af for you, but you WILL survive. Hold tight to those who love and care about you. Let them support you and surround you with affection.

All my best, from an American fan.

Im just hearing about his arrest this is disturbing and i hope the victim is getting justice
She's not a victim, she's an accuser. An accuser who claims to have been "inappropriately touched." The world has gone mad.

I don’t just want a BL (Boys' Love) to be about a simple love story anymore. These days, audiences expect more…
That's fine, that's great; I don't necessarily disagree with any of it, except that "BL" has a fairly specific meaning. To me, what you're talking about are gay-themed dramas and films, of which I watch as many as I can find, and of which there quite a few already. I can provide you with a lot of titles, if you're interested. Everything from straightforward romances to yakuza stuff to legal themes, prison, counter-culture, political intrigue, you name it.

I'm not getting why you seem to be insisting on shoehorning the BL label onto gay-themed films and series, which is what it sounds like this is. I dropped this in the first episode because of the silliness I saw but, at the recommendation of two of my trusted MDL friends, I'm going to take it up again. I'll be showing up in comments again after two or three episodes.

Who are these "audiences" you speak for? Please tell them that everything they are wanting to see is already out there in the form of gay-themed series and films. Or, you can call this a BL and I can call it a gay-themed series, and that's fine too.

Let me know if you want those titles.

Meanwhile, enjoy the show!

Curious: Why do accept as fact that he did what he has only at this point been ACCUSED of?
Oh, I absolutely WILL support him, from long before I heard about this latest nonsense, silly accusation until the day he is exonerated at trial.

What sick society do you live in where people are "guilty until proven innocent," which is exactly ass-backwards from both a moral and a political viewpoint. If you don't already live there, please move to Russia, China, or maybe Iran. They'll be glad to accuse you of something you never did, and toss you in the slammer or shoot you before you know what's going on.

Until it is proven that there was a crime, there is no "victim." There is only an accuser who claims something happened, nothing more. It infuriates me that KK's agency has already kicked him out of his group and fired him as a represented artist, all based on the word of some person who could very well be lying. And of "inappropriate touching," at that! I hope that, after he is found not guilty of this charge, that he sues the living shit out of his agency and this young woman. I am sick to death of people equating someone "touching" them with "sexual assault," as if it's all the same thing, from rape too blowing someone an unwanted kiss across the room. Is that sexual assault as well?

I am also sick to death of the law and people like you treating women as helpless, little children, totally incapable of dealing with anything, even someone "inappropriately touching" their arm or fingernail. What happened to throwing a drink in a dude's face and slapping the shit out of him? Now, young women are encouraged to run to the police or file a lawsuit instead. It is completely out of control.

But again, we don't know if ANYTHING happened. This is not difficult to understand.

I won't waste any more time on you, however. You're obviously a silly little Jnetz, Knetz, Tnetz, or Cnetz who gets her thrills out of destroying celebrities' careers, reputations, and lives. Yes, lives. Do you have any idea how many Asian entertainers have been driven to suicide by the kind of self-righteous stupidity you are spewing? Dozens and dozens over the last 25 years, that's how many. Will you be proud of yourself when Kamimura kills himself out of despair caused by psychotic haters like you?

Worry about your own morals and behavior. When that's perfect, then you can start criticizing others for alleged crimes you haven't the slightest idea whether they committed or not. Worst of all, you don't care.

In other words, grow up.
